They increased the STAR's bloom recovery a while ago, i believe it should have almost the same recovery and stats as that as the FAR except it has a slower TTK by .05s now. I am sure you've used the far before so you know what i'm talking about? The point of increasing the N-TECS range while nerfing its ttk was to further allow for ranged play while staying balanced by decreasing its cqc effectiveness and allow STAR to move into that position better. I did think about how it would affect the Obeya as well, which is why i only said 55m with a .75/.77 ttk. Far has a ttk of .7 at 50, Obeya 60m at .84, so 55m would be ~.77. If the damage drop is correct on the db, I can calculate that at 59m it would take 7 hits for the ntec to kill without missing at 60m with a 55m range, which would mean not a .75 ttk at 60m, but a slightly higher one causing a .87ttk at 59m, Obeya can 5 hit up to 69m for .84. Improved rifling 3 Is it 18%? Now? would give the NTEC a range of ~66m to 5 hit however it would still have a .88-.9ttk to reach out that far miss once and its going to go 1s+, still giving slightly more range and a better ttk to the Obeya. If you put IR3 on the obeya it reaches to ~76m at ~1s. Higher than the ntec's but if the ntec misses once, its going to the obeya at that range. While I can agree that this change to the NTEC would push it into Obeya territory, I do not believe that it would outclass the obeya more than it already can with a .7 ttk for 54m (max) of the obeya's 69m (max) range. Though I'd be happy even without the range decrease.

My suggestion would still allow STAR to compete against ARMAS. While I agree it is often underrated, it is still worse TTK wise than similar armas weaponry. Most AR's from Armas has ~.7 ttk S1-FA, Far for example, then you look at other armas weapons like the S1-NA, ATAC, that used to be OP SMG (forget its name even though I own it lel) etc, all have .7 ttks. Stars accuracy regain is similar to that of the FAR so putting it on similar terms as the FAR wouldn't be making it worse. (If you look at stats the only major difference between Star and FAR, is the TTK difference). I agree that it is good that a f2p weapon can handle well against Armas, however the reason everyone flocks to NTEC is because it's simply better in most situations past ~0-20m+ where a large amount of combat occurs. Hence my overall suggestion.

to prevent district stalking i'd say I /who so I can find friends and figure out what opp to expect... It's rather dumb to remove it, I mean Jericho ONLY has 1 silver district, it isn't going to be hard for any "streamsniper" or w/e to pop in and find their target. -
To be fair, you can now see enemy car spawns on map, or its been like that for a while now unless they changed it, though you do have a point. I've had several players who while the server was lagging out from a DDOS could pretty much TTK you while you shot a whole mag and instadied a second later after hearing only a handful of shots and not a spray. Entire mission was DDOS lagout and the one guy ended up with like 18 kills and 6 deaths while everyone else was negative, would spray fire and try killing one guy for like 5-10+ seconds during the lag but the guy can somehow kill you at almost ttk. (Always amazes me, not) thats like... half of jerichos silver district xD

End the N-TEC Standard of Balance

Personally i'd increase ntec's ttk to .75 or .77 and its range to 55m, and decrease the stars to .7 as it is more cqc and the ntec is always played as a far mid range (50-60m) anyways. That way it can reach further, has a higher ttk than star would, but a lower TTK of the obeya with a .84ttk which has 60m range. I feel it would be far more balanced that way. -

Everyone always talks about how N-TEC is balanced yet when a weapon comes out that can compete on equal footing or is stronger than it, it always gets the nerf hammer. Nothing can be "better" than the N-TEC only worse. The most balanced weapons in the game are the Star and FAR, and they should be the center of balance and what everyone compares and balances weapons to. Change my mind.

Good players don't hackusate anymore because noone's going 420 blatant like they did before. I've met maybe 2 people that are legitimately unflankable in 2v2 despite playing them 10+ missions.

NTEC: Increase the N-Tec's range to 55m and increase its time to kill to .75-.77 to compensate while keeping its functionality the same. I base the suggestion off the ttk and range of weapons with similar ranges and ttks such as they Obeya Rifle, which has a ttk of .84 and a 60m range and FAR with a .7 ttk and a 50m range and STAR which has a 50m range but ttk of .75 Reasoning: The N-Tec is one of the best rifles in the game and is considered the most meta assault rifle, it is normally used accurately for close to mid-range while tap firing, people apply improved rifling for more range so that it can reach out to almost 60m. My suggestion stems from it being so versatile and accurate, and having a low enough TTK that it has overshadowed various other rifles such as the Star, S1-FA, Cobra, and Far which are meant for closer combat engagements than the NTEC. As it has the accuracy to fire at range so easily and time to kill to outshine the STAR, and easily take out the competing weapons in its range, I believe that increasing its ttk would better it's balance while giving it further range. Star: Decrease the STAR 556's ttk to .7 Reasoning: The star is a jack of trades and master of none, it does not have the amount of accuracy that the NTEC has, and has a slower bloom recovery, and is more close quarters oriented. Decreasing its time to kill will still allow it to maintain its viability, and give the FAR a roughly equal counter that doesn't overpower it. Overall Reasoning: Many close to mid-ranged weapons are not used as much as they can be as they are overshadowed by a faster, more reliable, more versatile weapon (the N-TEC), this suggestion is to bring those weapons that have been overshadowed for years into the spotlight to be played as they are on fairly equal footing gameplay and balance wise, while allowing the NTEC to still reach further ranges and be balanced for what it is used for most, without it overshadowing the closer ranges as much as it currently does.

There's a few, but the majority are using wallhacks. Several use car radar to cover it up. It's like the old "use firework launcher perfectly without spamming it by somehow always firing it to always ping enemies without fail but pretend you aren't actually cheating." tactic but more "subtle". Yeah that I already knew, but tendency to hackusate isn't that scarce even among good players. Considering a lot of "good players" ended up playing with a lot of coverup cheaters on their teams and in their clans "without knowing" those people were cheating. Ofc its not scarce

.84 ttk and it did the same thing prepatch, but if you missed a few it increased the ttk drastically, now it actually 3 hits like it's supposed to! THE HORROR. Ntec still does it better -
Finally someone who pays attention to the math and actual facts! Shredder is a complete non-issue in the balance spectrum. I'd understand if people complained about Whisper all day, but Shredder? Come on... Shredder has always been meant to be a cqc-mid range weapon, hence its high .84 ttk which prevents it from being competitive in cqc. Even an ntec in cqc doesn't have a problem beating it. IT shines at 15-35m atm, where it takes 3-4 hits to kill. It's fine it takes 3-5 however only if its reliably able to do that at the 1.4/6ttk or so that it will do so at. But that's STILL a high ttk.

It's a nice start but far from balanced. This weapon is still going to mint everyone at 30-35m. You mean its going to kill people at 30-35m with 5+ hits causing a 1.8ttk? Ntec outshoots that no problem in ~1 second. It sounds like you're just salty. Exactly, the strife has always been a close to mid range weapon, which was its main selling point as well as its high TTK for a "close range weapon". People are upset that it actually manages to fulfill that role, because it impedes on the NTEC meta as it is NOT a "cqc" weapon. It's meant for the longer ranges. Strife used to be decent, "used" to be, because it was severely situational to begin with, and now that it's range got nerfed, haha... why even use it -
So basically no change for my shredder? Good, because i am glad to make the ntec baddies mad for a reliable kill with it. You mean a ~+1.05 ttk is cancer at 30m when you can simply .84 ttk at 30m with an ntec? Talk about delusional

The only thing i can think about ntec is reduce the bloom recovery, its the only thing that was an issue with it being too strong, and it still remains, but we don't need another Far or Star hybrid. Shotguns could use a little scaling, I agree, however I disagree that shredder is broken. It is meant to be accurate enough to reliably kill someone at 15-30m (possibly even 40 with a full mag) with a shotgun. That's its range, and that is why its pellet spread has always been so tight. Its time to kill is .84 which puts it at a slower rate than cqc weapons, as well as mid range weapons (excluding obeya which has the same ttk) while still being easily killed by ranged at 20-30m, especially when it 4-5 hits with a ~1.0-1.32ttk or so. Which is on par or worse than rifles at that range depending on how the opp fires the weapon. Think of it more as a slug shooter than a shotgun (lethal nl9) it's meant to hit that range with a higher ttk. I think when it comes to the new weapon tweaks, people don't know how to handle it yet, a lot of weapons are now able to compete much better if not on par with weapons in their niches that they couldn't before. Weapons like the Shredder for example, which suffered heavily despite being able to 3 hit at 24m before, are now "OP" because now they suddenly are as reliable as a 7 hit ntec kill at ~.84s. How dare a shotgun reliably kill someone in its intended niche and intended ttk against the most "BaLaNCeD" weapon in the game?!?! -

most people didn't buy the underpowered worthless guns of APB, give it a few months, maybe some will ikr NTEC HVR ONLY SO BALANCED so wheres shotguns and every other weapon? Oh they aren't good enough, i forgot. -
cHEcK tHe VidOe First hit was roughly 7m from you, the second, if he hit the majority of the pellots you were ~12-16m away, would have been plenty enough to kill you with the new changes. Shredder is meant for 20-30m ranges, and should be reliable in that range. It has a ttk higher than ntec AND oca AND other shotguns at .~84 so the only one to blame if you get 3 shot is yourself.

That and my poor aim, yeah. I use frags, that way if I have poor aim I still get the kill. For 1 extra painful second, i can ensure i get a 1-2 hit on 2-3 people in my blast. -
Except for the fact that weapons are the most balanced they have ever been now. Just because they nerfed ntec, obeya, hvr, joker, rfp, osmaw, fbw, atac, jump shooting, sprint shooting, drop shots, and buffed the star, dmr, act, pdw, nfa, atac, whatevers in the balance patch, and a bunch of others, doesn't mean that the game's fucked up. You simply wanted the game to be the same old bs meta it always was. Some modifcations can be further rebalanced - I can agree, Spawns can be balanced - yes , several vehicles could potentially be balanced- yes, but reverting everything would be a horrible setback and screw up the game worse than it is now.

JG : Initial Damage 140 (66), Damage Total 700 (792), Range 10-20m (20-30) It's impossible to be 2 shot at 20m now, 3 shot? "maybe" but its probably 4-5 shots. They didn't even touch the bloom for the gun, so it should be very hard for you to get 2-3 shot at 20m, i've been 6 shot though. But that's also ~2s ttk+ Is the CSG on par with the JG now? How dare they make the JG just as good as the CSG!
