I grew tired of constantly copying my super-secure password from another place, so I came up with this crazy mega idea.
Create a bat-file, then put this text in it:
@echo off ::turns off console output to the screen
echo|set /p=yourpasswordhere|clip ::copies the specified text to the clipboard
start /d "C:\Games\APB Reloaded\Launcher" APBLauncherprogram ::specifies the path to the launcher

you may copy the whole paragraph. :: is used for commenting.
After the game is launched and you appear in the lobby screen, simply press CTRL-V and voila!

To create and edit a bat file:
1. create a text file on the desktop
2. change the extension from .txt to .bat (if you can't do it, google show file extensions windows 10)
3. Right Mouse Button click on it -> Edit

Moderators, can you please edit my starter post, so the word

I copy and paste mine from a password manager.

Though it takes me a few minutes to even find the account I play on since I gotta go through like ten thousand forum accounts.

I'd go with this option which is much more simple, or simply write it everytime.

if you got 2315048731250943754 characters psw that's understandable.

Cloud based password management yikes. Rather use a file based manager and keep spare copies on USBs.

I do not find typing 'ApbR1234' as a complicated thing to do.

>passwords in any form other than vintage good old reliable stone tablet, hammer and chisel YIKES dude

what's so hard about remembering a 8-15 character password that you have to create these intricate ways of entering them?

ever heard of a .txt file? yeah someone could get unauth access to your pc and steal the .txt but honestly who wants to steal an apb account with an ugly weeb character and 40 bucks worth of a firehawk 4x4 and an oscar lol

as for me i just pen and paper my passwords, and the seriously important stuff i keep on portable drives now.

Cool ... but its not necessary. I have password made up from 10 different symbols, letters and numbers combination - not a single word.

And i can't even write it down on paper, can't even say it because i don't remember it. Magic happens as soon as i take keyboard ... "muscle memory".

Tbh i don't even feel when i type it .. less than few sec. and i logged in.

( I think those who play often, they can say same thing ... muscle memory does all).

It's not a good idea to store passwords in any type of text on your computer.

Just have good enough password strength while making one you can memorize and is impossible to guess.

Whoever didn't knew this ''secret'' method, doesn't deserve to literally exist.

watch a single internet breach reveal the same password that you use for all your online accounts.
https://haveibeenpwned.com/ is usually what makes people wake up about their passwords, people realise after "oh so that's why my account got hacked..."

On a safety aspect it would be better to have only some passwords and change them more often

Get hacked. One tenth of all my accounts share the same password. Hmm.

Or I can have 100+ unique passwords.
