That I am aware. I also know that actual speedhack is a thing. What I was talking about is how it works in other games, especially siege, as it's the OP video.
-
In most games, if you lag, you continue walking normally on your end. But on the other end, you'll stop moving, and then move insanely fast to your new position. Or it teleports you there, depending how the game works. This is how all these "speedhacks" and quick peeks are happening. Lag, bad tick rate and netcode.
-
You can't just go around and ban everyone that's going faster than X value. Lag and other random things are still around that can push you to these values. Catching all the cheaters isn't as easy as you may think it is. If it was that easy, these problems would have been solved years ago. Do you even know how much money and research goes into developing anti cheat software? And talking about BattlEye for APB - it's new. APB is old as hell. It needs to be coded to a way that it can recognize things that aren't normal in APB and what is. To top that off, Little Orbit is new to APB itself and they can't do drastic changes as fast as you wish. Look at the shotgun balance, or IR for example. Give it time. It'll eventually get better, but there's never going to be a game that doesn't have cheaters.

Hey. Event is over. Now it's time to fix your mess.

Pretty much every single issue here could've been avoided if it wasn't a god damn 80 player district. I mean, gungame worked flawlessly for all these years with a lower playercount in the beacon district. -
BattlEye isn't some magic spice you pour over a game and it magically bans every single cheater out there. Like any other anti cheat, it needs to be heavily fine tuned to catch cheaters other than searching for files or injections. Macros aren't a priority for that, especially not since most mice these days come with drivers that allow you to program macros. And the speedhack clip in the video is from solo terrorist hunt, which is local and hosted on your PC without being connected to the internet. That's probably sped up like every other game around by messing with your task priorities and cpu usage and whatnot. I don't think there even is a speedhack in siege, only things I've seen in my 1600 hours now were regular aimbots/wallhacks and things like teleporting that are "features" that were introduced with the operation outbreak PVE mode. //Edit: APB and its code is heavily outdated and easy to manipulate. FairFight was never really implemented into APB and BE is still new and needs said finetuning.

Stop derailing the topic with N-TEC nonsense. It's been discussed a thousand times. My point is, kewlin said the guy was walling, triggerbotting and speedhacking in the video. He didn't use wallhack or triggerbots in the video, and the speedhack was on singleplayer. BE's priority isn't even on macros and they've never really banned for it in Siege. There's a dude on my uplay friends list who full auto macros all the semi guns at all times, and he's still not banned so there's that.

Do you plan to do something about yukon?

Any gun is good if you are in a mission with 79 other enemy players, and you'll get an assist with every single kill. -
It's not just silvers saying that. It's also golds and bronzes and whatever. What's with this "lol silver noob" insult in every game ever? Makes absolutely no sense.
-
There was no cheating in the video besides the macros. And talking about something doesn't mean actually doing it. Oh boy, silver insults. Quality arguments you've got there.
-
Oh god don't bring up the N-TEC again. We've discussed this a thousand times and a large part of the playerbase, including LO, agreed that something needs to be done about it. And no, I'm not trolling him. I've watched the video by now, and the only thing he was using were macros and a bunch of cheat engines, and "speedhack" in singleplayer. No actual cheats besides macros are seen in the video. //Edit: BattlEye isn't as bad as some people claim, it did a pretty good job in Siege. The game was flooded by cheaters when it ran on FairFight only, so there's that. Cheaters will always be there, and it'll take a while for automated systems to ban them considering how advanced modern cheats are.

The heck? There's still no cheating gameplay.
-
The heck? There's no cheating at that timestamp. Just him opening a bunch of cheat engines and adding random dlls to his folder that don't do anything.
-
I didn't like the way the video was presented, and just skipped through with like 20-30 second steps, and didn't see any real actual cheats. I skipped through it again, more carefully this time, and still didn't see anything besides macros and him speeding up his whole game in singleplayer. Can you give me timestamps.

GhosT replied to Excalibur!'s topic in General Discussion Archive
I mean, the yukons burst mode is so bad you could just not shoot your enemy and it'd have the same effect. And the hip fire is quite bad since they nerfed it. They should probably up the firerate a liiiittle bit to make it comparable to other automatic sidearms. -
Huh? I've skipped through the video and the only things I've seen him play with were a bunch of macros. The wallhack things I've seen were just pictures.
-
Maybe because this dude didn't do much other than trying out various macros, which they aren't actively going after. For the no recoil macro, their fault. They wanted predictable recoil, now they've got no recoil macros.

Will we see snow this december?
GhosT replied to (Xbox)MortisedGuide's topic in General Discussion Archive
What's wrong about it? Other than them replacing the cement truck and the garbage truck variants with the stock variant, causing broken collisions. -
There aren't as many dethreaters as you may think. Dethreating takes ages, and once you're silver, you'll play a couple matches in bronze districts, and you're gold again.
-
For citadel, I haven't seen any players repeatedly winning rounds, no name has stuck with me so far and I only see different ones.
-
Winning is not an exclusivity to "pro golds" only. Winning this giant gungame is mostly luck, not skill. I've already seen a couple silvers win. And If you can't manage to win, F

You're right - the N-TEC definitely needs a change, but you're making it sound ridiculous because you get killed by better players. It requires some skill, though not as much as some other weapons. You're nailing the N-TEC after a couple missions of trying out how it actually works. It's one of the easiest guns to learn, and the most rewarding gun in the game. Combined with it's extreme versatility and performance, it just outshadows every other AR and partially even some Rifles and SMGs/Shotguns. Now I agree with your opinion about shotguns, LO absolutely destroyed them. But your CBMP and Sword/CR5/NTEC argument - lol. Please retain yourself from posting anything regarding weapons. Those are reskins and perform exactly the same as their original guns.
-
Really? I recall getting the skin twice. Didn't pay attention after that.
-
Well, it's a gungame. Those have been around in a bunch of games since forever. Progressing through the ladder and completing the final weapon gets you the win.
-
Not always. The winner is the one that got through the final weapon, it's irrelevant from the score.

Alright, here are my two cents about this event: • Map selection Waterfront and Financial for such a event isn't a good choice. We have three small Fight Club maps that would suit this event a whole lot better. Though fight club maps are bigger than the event zones in the district, they are still too small to fit 80 players. It's way too big, the areas are too limited, you have to drive all the way to the area and hope to be one of the first to get a head start. • Player count 80 players makes it a 1v79, more or less. Not only is this way too many players, but the servers and the engine can't even handle it. Not to mention the spawn system, you get dropped of in the middle of 20 people shooting eachother, or you spawn 150m or further away and you have to run. • Server / Engine issues The hitreg gets screwed up all the time, you hit people seconds after you shot them, them not taking damage, etc. Even the strongest PCs out there dip to 40 FPS, partially even 20 or lower due to the massive amount of players around. Sounds start crackling, or don't play at all due to the massive amount of sound samples being played at one time. • Rewards If you continuously win, you get the new skin over and over and over. If you already have the skin, you should get a higher amount of JT instead. • Weapon selection In other gungames that have happened the past years, and in other games, the guns are usually stacked in one order - like SMGs first, ARs after that, followed by Sniper Rifles. The current weapon ladders are preset, but in a rather random order. The Joker Box one is the most noticeable. • Scoring Sometimes you only need one kill to progress the weapon, sometimes you only need an assist, sometimes you need two or even three kills. • Random issues Grey names. Grey names everywhere. Sometimes you enter the area, or respawn, and everyone's grey and stays grey for a minute or two. Sometimes only a third of the players are red and damageable, once someone dies, someone else becomes red and damageable. Sometimes everyones red as it should be. Sometimes you get kicked out of the dynamic event, you receive your original loadout and grenades, and it will take a minute or two to re-enter the event. Players blocking car spawns to prevent others from getting a car to get to the next event zone. Mods such as Flak Jacket or Remote Detonator are still useable. ____________________________________ So all in all, the event is a nice idea and sounds good on paper. BUT: The execution with 80 players, countless bugs and performance issues makes it an unenjoyable experience. The event is more luck based than skill based. Sometimes you can go on a kill streak because all the people around you are grey, and you can cheese kills from others fights further away. You randomly get "ejected" from the dynamic event, forcing you into the grey phase and you can't do anything for minutes while most other players can freely progress. This is extremely infuriating when you had a nice kill streak and were the highest in the weapon ladder. I don't know why you didn't edit the christmas gungame instead of creating a new dynamic event. It was perfectly balanced and didn't suffer any bugs, and was on a enjoyable map to go with it. ___________________________________ I know you guys are new to events, but please stay away from mass events like this. The current engine doesn't support this. Launch a few seperate districts instead of one massive district, and please test the events before you make them public. That's all I could think of for now. Bet I'll remember more things in a few hours. Might edit the post then.
