threat segregation was a thing before, and it hurt the population. high ranks dont like playing other high ranks. or they don't enjoy playing the same group multiple times. edit: its true though lol. the current system is fine, but not with the current population.

tbh i sorta "came back" a few days ago, and i dont think its dead. it's stayed the same since ive left which i thought was surprising. was still able to get missions. just not able to get missions near midnight like way back when.

but there's also a thing where how the population is so small that new players who are still trying to get used to the game face against people who already know the game. only the persistence of new players decide if they want to keep playing to learn to integrate as part of the regular population.

Like several others have discussed, if you are taking up a slot in a mission district without participating in missions, you're messing up the matchmaking algorithim because you're reducing the eligible pool of players that can be placed in matches...If there are free empty districts then just utilize those.

I don't keep up with who's who. I haven't played this game like I used to in the past. I played one mission yesterday afternoon playing for a few months. I'm saying this with no bias. If a player wants to host events, the considerate thing to do would be to host it in an empty district. Everyone is fully aware or should be aware of the matchmaking problem which includes the limited active player pool causing issues with creating fair matches. I agree OP should have presented in a more neutral tone. But I don't think there's any contest that when possible, you should take non-mission activities to empty districts to be considerate to your fellow players. Merged. Maybe it needs to be stated but as much as we want to respect how people want to enjoy their games, that means we also need to respect players who want to enjoy mission gameplay.
