  1. I was referring to the high tier/high skill meta where HBF is still good if you car gameplay carefully and armored engine paired with steel plating allows you to get away from tight situations a bit easier before your car catches fire. Armored engine has saved many stages. I can somewhat see that being useful but I'd rather not get damaged as much as I normally would in the first place. They're both useless at high skill. Slower fire damage does not help you at all since your car is already out of commission and is of little to no use to the mission. Chassis Strengthening is too niche of a thing to waste a whole slot on, it will barely be a relevant factor in gameplay. Equip Pioneer/Espacio for those missions and keep good blue mods on instead with 15 cargo slots. Cars, just like guns, should be swapped around depending on the mission variables. I usually give insight on meta loadouts as those are the most relevant ones. If you're not playing meta then you can use whatever.
  2. Interesting. I haven't had any issues with 2FA in APB or on the website/Armas ever since they fixed that initial small delay problem in the very beginning. I haven't had any issues with logging in with 2FA regardless of the timing on received codes. It also remembers me for the next 15-20 logins and then it might ask again which is decent security. Not sure where all of you are coming from with 2FA complaints.
  3. Car spawn/ammo, Nitro 3, Steel Plating 3 and Armored Engine 3 is probably best with the new meta but high burn fuel is also an option instead of one of those two.
  4. I already had the Paramilitary Bonus Pack (Enforcer) which includes the thigh rigs but not the spray cans. So the bundle cost less for me because I only had to pay for the spray cans. You can't pick what to buy from a bundle, you can only pay less if you already own some of the pieces in it. Thats the reason that is there.
  5. Because in some cases you can already own some of the items in one of the bundles, say from an Armas pack, and it will let you know how much the remaining items would cost. For example, I already had both thigh rigs on my enforcer but I didn't have the spray cans (because they weren't available for enforcers prior to this) so I only had to pay for the spray cans and it was cheaper.
  6. No offense to the creators but these outfits are just really bad. Not only do they not fit in with APB at all but they also just have no real creativity behind them. Its just a bunch of preset symbols and recolored clothing pieces. I'm not a designer myself but even I can say that these aren't any good and especially not Joker Store tier good. Sorry.
  7. Yup, but such a small change is probably super difficult like everything else and they won't bother doing it.
  8. You don't have to be an "elite" player to understand that the N-TEC doesn't need any further nerfs.
  9. If it says N-TEC on it then we gotta nerf it because the silvers said so.
  10. APB is not GTA and it was never meant to be GTA as you can clearly see that the game was created to be a more competitive type PvP shooter with amazing customization and not a sandbox GTA Online type deal. There are many issues that prevent it from becoming truly competitve to 2020 standards, in some aspects due to the original devs at RTW and in others due to G1's carelessness over the years, its now in LO's hands to fix all of that and set APB on its right course. I will keep it simple - if APB were to become more casual it would keep it's underdog status as "poor man's GTA Online" like TONS of newcomers like to label it as. No one wants to play poor man's GTA when you can have real GTA which looks better and already caters to casual players. LO must cash in on APB's unique third person shooter mechanics and build on it to make it competitive. Until recently there wasn't any decent third person shooter you could call competitive but then Rogue Company went into Open Beta which has a bunch of APB's mechanics like shoulder switching and it honestly does it great and its tons of fun, especially if you are already good at APB and you get into that game. On top of that, it does not rely on car gameplay and cheesing/exploiting every bit of old bad game design in order to win because it doesn't have nearly as many as APB does. APB needs to become polished, new player friendly and more balanced for competitive play in order for it to be appealing. Thats not to say that I do not support some of the casual aspects of the game such as community events and activities and such - I really do but when it comes to the actual combat, missions, gameplay part - it really needs to be on a more competitive level with way less RNG involved. I'm not sure whether they will be able to do anything with it considering that we are at an all time low in population. The Engine Upgrade needs to be good on release and they only get 1 shot at it, unfortunately.
  11. Most legendaries are largely useless, you should put your focus more on the bigger picture of what guns are the best for you overall in the entire game. Meta guns usually aren't legendaries but it depends on what type of player you are. If you're casual you can pick whatever but if you're trying to play good then you'll have to stick to things like N-TEC 5, Ursus, OCA, PMG, OSCAR, Obeya CR762, OBIR, Joker SR15 Carbine, HVR 243 (Scout), HVR 762, JG, CSG and Obeya FBW, Colby .45 AP, ACT44 Golden Marksman for secondaries. In the case that you want to play meta its a good opportunity to pick up a permanent 3 slot variant of whatever gun you'd like to use from the Joker Store (assuming you don't want to spend money on the game). Keep in mind that a lot of the guns on Armas (and on the JT store) are reskins of the F2P guns that are unlocked through contacts and roles. For example, you can buy a PDW-57 with 3 open slots for JT if you like the skin more than the original OCA. I would also advise you to do research on the guns you're thinking of buying as they could be reskins of something you don't actually like. You can either refer to my APB guide which has all reskins listed in the Weapon Reskins category, you can ask here or you can look at https://apbdb.com/ and compare stats just to be sure. When it comes to legendaries there are only a handful of decent ones like Ursus, Sitting Duck, Firework Launcher, maybe DOW Thumper? VBR Huntress is fun but its not great. If you want to cheese the game you can get a Volcano, True Ogre, Medusa but those are just cheap easy kills with very low skill ceiling and 0 potential of becoming better at the game. Don't get a Nano, Obeya FBW is much better and its very easy to use once you get the hang of the firerate and the Colby .45 AP is the best pistol in the game if you have the aim and control for it (which most people don't so they play FBW lol).
  12. Just give out reward packages with prizes from previous years and give out some new login reward titles to everyone this year. Don't bother with anything else because the engine upgrade must take full priority and the population is low anyway. Most people have had it with APB until 2.1 releases.
  13. He can't purchase the Cheetah kit on an enforcer character because Armas doesn't let you do that. The only way I could think of is definitely through support still but he'd need to ask them if there's any other way. I recommend just contacting support about this.
  14. How did you obtain the Mikro on your enforcer if you did not purchase the Raptor bundle? I am not seeing any other variants of it available for enforcer on Armas.
  15. Its not "a lot of people" at all. Most people have already realised that FF didn't function right and was heavily abused by the old devs thus creating a false narrative that a lot more people are serial cheaters when they aren't. I've seen some leftover examples of extreme tin foil hats who can't wrap their head around the fact that they are plain wrong but those are few these days, thankfully. LO has already cleared this entire thing up and many of us that got banned multiple times by FF and old G1 have survived BE twice and EAC once with no bans which should speak for itself. That's not to say that there weren't some bad actors but they aren't as many as people used to think there were. Some have grown, some have left the game or keep getting banned today without us ever knowing. Even if they don't think we're cheating they'd still skip plenty of missions due to players being higher skill level, abusing certain gameplay tactics and loadouts and plentiful other reasons. While I agree that BE is bad and definitively worse than EAC, its doing an okay job this time around. Not amazing or nearly as good as EAC but its fine for the time being. Phasing will definitely improve matchmaking regardless of the total population of the game, even with the current threat levels because there still is the hidden elo system which can help if the matchmaking pool was larger than 40vs40.
  16. You do realise that people like me will get little to no opposition if people could pick who they play against, right? If you could deny a match against someone, a portion of the players will get 1 mission per hour on average because no one wants to get stomped. Especially the people who think top tier players are cheating will ALWAYS avoid those matches. Its been considered before and it even used to be a feature very early on in APB but it got scrapped for a good reason.
  17. That's just dethreaters and one of the biggest issues APB has ever had because they chase away new players 24/7/365. They haven't mastered the game, they just have enough experience with it to bully new players who lack that kind of experience. I've heard tons of excuses for dethreating but at the end of the day it's to get easy matches against players who mostly cannot retaliate and its just sad and pathetic honestly. The main problem is the horribly dated matchmaking system the game currently has and its something that will be addressed with the engine upgrade but for now we have to make do with no new players joining into the game and the ones that are actually low enough skill dealing with dethreating subhumans in bronze district. Most APB players don't realise this but the matchmaking system is directly at fault for most of the frustration with the game. For example, ever since LO took over, tons of guns got nerfed not because they needed to be nerfed but because low skill players complained about certain meta guns that good players use a lot, claiming them to be overpowered when in reality its just the huge skill gap. Its even worse when you realise that those same low skill complainers use the actual broken guns in the game (AMG, Explosives, NFAS, PMG, ATAC etc) because they are so much easier to use. When you're bad at a game, you look for the easy loadouts to play because thats your only way of getting kills and winning anything but when those players had to pick up those supposed "overpowered" guns (such as N-TEC) they'd get completely rolled because these guns actually require skill and aim. Another example is the "cheating" problem. APB has always had an actual cheater problem but not nearly to the extent that some players have claimed over the years. The moment you start talking about how all of the "gold elite" APB players are in a coalition together and are all cheating, you're already long lost but thats how a portion of the community perceives it because they are total wack at the game and the matchmaking makes them believe that everyone is cheating but them, putting them up against decent+ players. Its a deep issue that causes huge frustration and skews the reality of other parts of the game and even drives the devs to make stupid/unnecessary changes to the game even when the issue isn't in those things.
  18. Hard disagree with this one. Last weapon balancing along with the switch back to BE from EAC is what killed the population and dropped it to new lows even for APB. After LO's previous few changes the meta had become so stale and so horrible you couldn't even play the game unless you were running JG/PMG 24/7. This was the right step and in fact it should've happened months ago. They just killed a bunch of weapons and still allowed cheesy guns and tactics to thrive and we're finally getting out of that period. In fact, they need to make more changes based on feedback from this upcoming patch and change more guns as well. Also hard disagree because they've changed 1 or 2 at a time and it goes horribly wrong. The only right way to balance weapons in APB is in categories and bigger batches. When you rebalance a gun, you need to take all other guns in the category into consideration like they finally did now. For example, last time they nerfed N-TEC and OCA and then FAR and PMG became dominant because they didn't take those into consideration at all. This is finally the right way to do things.
  19. Finally! We're getting out of the worst meta period APB has ever seen once this patch hits. These changes seem pretty solid. Can't wait to see them in-game. I'd only argue that the PIG's range should also be nerfed from 10m to 5m. I'll likely have more feedback once I've had a chance to play around with it but these look pretty good on paper.
  20. I wouldn't use, advertise or distribute anything that can get you banned. It has always sprint and hold crouch combined but there is an instructions file on how to remove either of them in case you only want one of the two.
  21. You could also download my config from my twitch page. It has the files prepped just to copy paste along with other neat configs.
