yea.. was already struggling to level without premium... but not getting anything at all is just sad...
-
oh yea, now that you say it... APB was still running in the background... closed it now. thx mate, would've probably annoyed me if it sucked some performance out of other games...
-
no big deal (actually somewhat of a deal since it continues to run in the background and you can only exit it through the taskmanager) .. the game "crashed" when exiting... (so literally after clicking "exit game" - blackscreen followed by error popup) never had any issues with MC visual c++... anyone else got this?
-
ok, as much as I hate to admit this - but LO is getting a lot closer to what RP used to be... future ain't looking too good folks... imagine how the engine update launch will turn out... LUL

What 3 things would you like to bring back from RTW days?
Snubnose replied to Seedy's topic in General Discussion Archive
I didn't play RTW, but I heard it had a higher topspeed... but looking at this video, it doesn't seem faster... maybe it just took a lot longer to get there? maybe it was patched out in that version? maybe what I heard is just wrong. but I did hear it, and not just once... anyway, even if RTW never really had faster cars, APB could really use some more top speed... EDIT: oh also, "going too much faster causes extreme loading issues" I don't think that's the case... I've been flying through the maps multiple times due to bugs / glitches, qutie a lot faster than the top speed and the game didn't have any loading issues... sure, on weak PCs it might have slightly more stutter but there's no real issue here... (especially after the engine update it shouldn't) also, I've seen streams / videos of speedhackers that also went faster than the topspeed of cars... didn't look like they had any loading issues LUL -
What 3 things would you like to bring back from RTW days?
Snubnose replied to Seedy's topic in General Discussion Archive
dunno if anyone said it in here yet so I'll just throw it in: faster top speed. right now it feels like driving a shopping cart downhill... I wanna feel actual speed when I'm driving a sports car... would make races a lot more interesting aswell... btw, why dwell in old memories when you could imagine what APB 2 could be like :^) -
bumping this thread because it's relevant again... we've had 2 permanent weapons and 8 clothing items added (well, with the upcoming update since it's been postponed), but we could still use some bodykits + wheels

New Joker Store items in the next update
Snubnose replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
to be honest, a little less than I expected (most is clothing, what I didn't expect at all), but still - free stuff, so it's great! can't wait for more items... here's hoping the fresno fastline kit (and other bodykits) will be implemented aswell! also, I think you guys should bring content with the engine update to better advertise the game.... (people -including me- have been saying this multiple times already) because if old players return to check out APB again when the engine update hits, but there's barely any new content to grind for, they'll just leave after a few matches and most likely won't come back anymore... but if you'll add like 10 more weapons, maybe like 5 bodykits and ~20 clothing items into the joker store, coming with new ways to earn joker tickets, that'll make a lot more people happy to continue the grind! -
Nekrova Migration to Citadel (G1C Compensation plan)
Snubnose replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
lmao nekrova players complaining that LO actually gives them stuff when innova failed to provide payment history... can't believe some of them are so ungrateful... be happy you can still play this game and actually have a server with people left to play with... god damn you got almost your whole account back and you're still whining... -
Delaying the RIOT launch till next week
Snubnose replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
agreed. they should've scrapped all work for riot mode when they picked up the game from RP... -
Apology to the community for this last week
Snubnose replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
I hope I'll see a post as honest and open like this sometime in the future of matt admitting that RIOT mode with seasons + seasonpass is not the right way of bringing APB back to life... sorry that I mention something somewhat offtopic, and I know some people will disagree*, but I just really felt like saying this now... didn't mean to bring the mood down. *brace for impact of downvotes -
hmm... I just simply didn't have fun... started it, everything seemed kinda chaotic and confusing (even though it's not too hard figuring out what to do) killed 5 people 1v1 then died to 2 people. it had little to no real feeling of teamplay / structure (teammates scattered around the map... probably more enjoyable with friends in a closed group) it was really, really quiet.... no cars or NPCs honking and yelling... barely heard shots in the distance... felt really empty. I'm not a BR fan at all... I dislike the mode and companies going for it because of the hype, atleast you tried doing something a little different... but IMO, it failed. doesn't feel like it fits into APB at all TBH... especially not suitable for a long-time, season based solution for the game... I was happy that things were happening in APB again, and the redhill ARG was a lot of fun and kinda hyped me up, but I was let down... guess APB just isn't what it used to be, and is way too outdated for proper new content... (hence the RIOT mode feels "empty", and kinda like an alpha) I really wanted RIOT to work out for APB. I'm sorry but RIOT is a failure in my eyes... (inb4 "but you barely played it". yes I know I played it for only a short time, but it was enough to feel the emptyness APB has become for me, that RIOT couldn't fill even a bit)

you mean kidding / joking? no I'm not... support progress is updated over here this is the latest update (posted just 2h ago)
-
oh btw, have fun waiting for 1-2 month for an answer... support is sluggish (maybe you're lucky and it's an automated process, not sure though)

you didn't bother going into your G1 account at all, did you? log into your G1 account on the G1 website, click on "account" and you'll see it there...

guys, did I miss something, or was the tier 2 skin still not mailed out? I didn't get anything yet... pretty sure I qualified for tier 2...
-
god damn, that's cheap!... I thought you guys would make the riot season pass like 10-20$. (since it sounded like there would be content worth 20-50$ at least) I'm positively surprised... still, I think something like this should've been more coupled with the main game... I'm afraid I (and many other players) may not enjoy this mode and therefore won't have much fun unlocking new content for APB... I'd recommend looking at how battlefield 5 "seasons" (tides of war) levels up... you have an overall 40 levels for ~8-10 weeks time, and every week comes with different challanges that reward you with extra XP (while normally playing the game also gives you some amount of XP). you get 1 special item unlocked every week (special items like new guns, planes, tanks, special cosmetics), and overall 1 item per level (less special items, only toward the end levels 35+ you get something more special) as you can see, you'll have multiple challanges and can choose your way of doing it. (or just do all for even more XP) when firestorm (battlefield battleroyale) was released, you'd have to do quite a few challanges in the BR mode, but still had an alternative way with challanges in the main game, which is nice. and in the end you'll get this new weapon, which will be made available to buy (for ingame cash in BF, but could be sold on armas in apb) after the season has ended. and here's what the overall 40 levels look like: you'll level this up by completing weekly challanges and / or just playing the game however you like. (even though it obviously takes more time without completing challanges) within the 40 levels are some more challanges you unlock (assignments) to get even more chapter XP. so for APB, you could make the weekly, more special items available through the season pass, and the overall 40 level rewards available for free. (which is kinda the case already I guess?) I'd just like to have an alternative way of leveling up the redhill contacts in case I (or anyone) really dislike the new RIOT mode.. (this is just a suggestion, so obviously you'd have to change values and rewards fitting best for APB)
-
agreed. I feel like this could've been a nice turf-war mode (like RTW talked about at some point) but it got scuffed by the BR hype...
-
this post was just as good as your youtube videos

we haven't had anything like this for like what, 5 years now? I really hope LO will continue balancing / tweaking spots (and maybe creating new ones) around san paro after the engine update hit... (untill we get APB2 ) anyway, I really felt like sharing this because it made me feel happy and sad at the same time (nostalgic, I'd say) (btw, does anyone have footage of the old skatepark? a direct comparison / overview video would be gold!)

basically: if something already has decals on it, you can't customize it. (that includes *unlocks from contacts and everything other players sell) *unlocks with a title like "7-Sins" Belt for example (mentioning this because if I remember correctly, you can't look at how clothing you're about to unlock look like)
-
I'm always baffled by how skilled some people are making these... like, 100 decals for a symbol.. they make it seem like the limit was 250... imagine the symbols if there was a glitch to put more than 100 decals on a symbol like with the extended themes...
