  1. I hope they rework how Armas functions in game. Weapons should be picked up from a vender once purchased on Armas. This will allow players to delete and reclaim weapons any time they wish. Players can even claim multiple copies so they can have different mods on each copy. If Armas weapons were base weapons (OCA, PMG, OBIR, etc), then you purchase skins and models for the weapons, I would be more apt to make more purchases for new models. As it is I have the original model of most weapons but won't repurchase the weapon again just for another model (especially since all the weapons I purchase are account wide). The current way they sell weapons and allow players to claim weapons (mail) seems inefficient.
  2. in RTWs days there was a dump truck in Financial about 50 meters from the turn in at the garage. People created bots that would get in the dump truck, drive it straight the 50 meters and it was a quick turn in. RTW deleted that dump truck spawn
  3. it really sucked when you jumped from a high location (not even enough to kill you) and were basically stunned in place for a few seconds until you gained stamina. Then you only started to move like a snail and a few more seconds you could move normally. Those times Crims were actually stunned more often with lethal weapons.
  4. I use Custom Desktop Logo, found a green dot and just keep that in the center of my screen with a transparency of 50%. Are they even detectable? All commands are routed through the same program on mice (I can change all the keys around).
  5. I remember picking up 10 of these things for 5 dollars each on Newegg then picking up another 5 or so before they ran out. Miss those things.
  6. You can't get perfect firing with a macro because the game does not run well. A macro with perfect timing can't compensate for random lag spikes and connection delays. A perfectly timed macro will skip shots and quickly become less efficient than just tap firing. Your better off with a macro that spam fires and just tapping that button .
  7. When RTW was running APB. Not only was LTL on par with lethal at least with TTS/TTK, but the weapons themselves were more functional. The PIG back then had 2 ammo capacity so you could charge a player and due to the longer TTK could get a double tap and stun a crim before you died. It still had something like a 10 meter range so it wasn't an option for anything beyond CQC.
  8. The PIG used to have 2 ammo capacity and both shots could be shot off nearly instantly. The shotgun looking LTL went through multiple changes. It had more range and at one point actually had the spread of a shotgun. All LTL was also indirectly nerfed when G1 decreased the TTK of lelthal weapons. LTL has been nerfed needlessly since G1.
  9. this is probably one of the better suggestions I have seen since I think it would take more to kick people when they turn gold. Maybe add a check that players can't "Ready Up" if they are more than 1 threat level above the district. May cause issues when grouped though.
  10. I pumped out nearly 500k in one go, people just need to learn how to maximize looting as a Crim. I went in, gained N5 and for a few hours was alone in the district. Mugging and a little bit of window crashing was the fastest. Look for NPCs that drop brief cases and mug these guys while windows respawn. Keep mugging at N5 because money is earned from both mugging and gathering the NPC drops, then turn in. If you watch the district population, just turn in any time someone comes into the district. isn't the arrest timer 5 seconds then you go to the spawn screen like everyone else?
  11. What did this post teach you? Hopefully you learned something that you can broaden past just one post. Play both sides before asking for nerfs or at least do your homework and look into actual stats. Coming to a game forum enraged because someone with an inferior weapon kicked your butt isn't the best way to make a point. Look at the front page of this forum. It is filled with people who refuse to play both sides or do any research yet yell about nerfs.
  12. You know what's an even bigger advantage in missions? No one on your team can bring the over all effectiveness of your team down by using LTL weapons. Lethal weapons are more effective in every situation than LTL weapons.
  13. I've been out of the loop for a while so yeah, I was like, no one is actually complaining about the Snub Nose Revolver are they? Maybe this is an acronym for another weapon.
  14. what about Perc + Shotgun? At least if you are stunned you can get back up. You also realize that the PIG has a 10 meter range before it drops to zero effectiveness plus it only has an ammo capacity of 1 and a VERY long reload timer. There is nothing broken about the Perc + PIG combo, no more so than the Perc + Shotgun or even the Remote Detonator when the owner is next to the vehicle. All these combos have counters.
  15. By the amount of downvotes you can see that seasoned players disagree with you. I'll tell you why. LTL weapons are actually less effective than lethal counterparts in every way. In original APB lethal weapons had a much slower TTK (time to kill), pretty much on par with current LTL weapons. When G1 took over the devs started lowering the TTK for lethal weapons but never lowered the TTS (time to stun) of LTL weapons. Basically what happened is that lethal weapons now kill much faster than LTL weapons can stun. LTL weapons range was also nerfed with G1 took over. Lethal weapons can have a range of 100+ meters. LTL weapons, if I remember right, now have an effective range of 5-35 meters. This basically makes LTL weapons CQC only. LTL weapons also have limited weapon types and no open slot variations. So your game play options are much more limited than lethal weapons. LTL weapons also do negligible hard damage to vehicles, signs, breakable glass, etc. So basically a vehicle or sign becomes an impenetrable force shield against LTL weapons. LTL weapons also have a much slower reload time than lethal weapons and in most cases a lower magazine count. Sadly this was another change that G1 completely overlooked when buffing lethal weapons. LTL weapons only stun. The stunned player can get up from a stun and even freed once arrested. Getting up from being stunned and freed from being arrested is faster than respawning. So TLDR: LTL weapons have limited range, limited options, longer TTS than lethal TTK, negligible hard damage, lower ammo capacity and longer reload. Basically if anyone can stun you, you would have 100% died faster with lethal weapons. This I will give you, but only because the Espacio (van) is inferior to the Pioneer (SUV) in forward push power and clearance for shooting while hanging outside of the vehicle. But these two things only apply to the Espacio and Pioneer, the rest of the vehicles are fine. Sadly you can only buy these on Armas if you want to cross faction.
  16. You do know a 3 slot NFAS is actually more powerful? The wind up on the True Ogre is a massive handicap.
  17. This is an old tactic to try and get people to log out of an active district so their friends can log in. Say Financial is maxed at 50/50. They shout this in general trying to get people to log into Social District for free items. This allows their friends to log in. People also use variations of this tactic like "Wow, I like your icon, will you post it on the auction house, I'll buy it for 50k!" or "Hey, can I buy a mod from you."
  18. if I remember right AHK can be set up as a trigger bot. When the crosshairs change colour it will automatically fire for you. You can also write a script so AHK will compensate for predictable recoil (HVR). This will reset your cursor back to it's original position before you fired.
  19. it's really not. People will just use throw away accounts and keep getting banned until they figure out the thresh hold of how cheating they can get away with. I guarantee you there will be a lot of new characters running around testing these limits.
  20. Did support go by the name of Puck?
  21. I don't think the JT rented mods have rank restrictions but they only last a week. Having to farm JTs for a mod that only lasts 7 days is more work than it's worth considering there are 6-8 mods that can completely change the way you defend or attack an objective. Low level contacts give something like 5-10 JTs per day for completing their Daily Activity while higher level contacts give 20-25 JTs a day. Basically if you want to afford more than 1-2 mods a week you are forced to play FC or Asylum which doesn't level up your contacts or rank.
  22. The current systems were designed for a large players base. This game does not have a large player base. Trying to ignore the fact that our player base is minuscule and keeping the system as it is currently designed is flawed. APB was not suppose to be a full team of gold threat veterans in the silver district against a team of new players whos rank is less than 100. The "system in place" does not work for a small player base because new players are often matched up with veterans. Joker tickets can be farmed in FC, but no new player is going to farm enough to keep up with rank 195 mods they need every week especially if they only have low level contacts. You honestly think a new player is going to stand a chance against a player like me who has all the mods, open slot weapons, Volcanos, Ogre, Medusa, Alig, DMR, etc, as well as 10 years of experience with the game? Trust me, any new player against me is going to find it impossible to win in APB. We need to level the playing ground and try our best to retain new players instead of keeping it impossible for them to even fight back.
  23. you will need to farm around 1750 JTs a week to keep up with max ranks using 195 mods. I constantly swap the following mods depending on the mission: Remote Detonation, Radar, Radar Jammer, Flak (majority of the game), Fragile (for CQC shotgun combat), Car Surfer, Blowtorch. For a low level playing a few hours a week, that's impossible to get through normal missions since low level contacts give very few JTs as a reward. It gets easier to earn JTs on the rank 195 and higher contacts, but by then you can just buy the mods off the market. FC is an option but not everyone enjoys the chaos. The contacts also give out vehicle unlocks, sprays, clothing, and can still hand out a free mod and unlock the ability to purchase additional mods. The only thing that needs to change is the rank requirement so newer players can purchase them on the market board. "Progression" by leveling contacts is not the only reason people play this game. I've been maxed out for years and still play APB. Most of us here have been maxed out for years and still play, why do people think "progression" is the only reason people play? Let the newer players have access to rank 195 mods, they change how the game is played completely, there is no need to drive players away because they have to play an unfair game against us vets.
