My account is filled with now worthless purchases. At least the rpf was useful... the coroner I bought has never been useful.

The EMP grenade seems too specialized for something that temporarily disables the listed features. Unless the radius is 20 meters, I don't see much use for it over a Conc grenade which can permanently disable all player vehicles with 1 direct hit (unless a player is using blowtorch to repair their vehicle). I would rather see the Satchel Bomb be converted to use these EMP features. Satchel Bomb has no real purpose in the game that grenades can not fill so why not just convert it into an EMP bomb?

no, meant weapons tagged to stun. I always thought that if stamina was dropped 1000 then it would stun a player no matter what weapon was used.
-
yeah stamina damage is all over the place, would definitely need a cap on stamina damage per shot. Maybe reduce all lethal weapon stamina damage to a standard baseline. Current stamina damage on lethal weapons is pretty useless. what about the DMR, it stuns occasionally.

- 95 % hard damage - 95 % soft damage + 200 % stamina damage

Why are you nerfing the NTEC?

no one is saying the ntec is better than weapons that specialize in cqc, but for an AR it is a bit too good in cqc considering the only real down side of the ntec are sniper ranges. -
Hands down my favorite weapon is the volcano. The rockets explode at 100 meters and do massive aoe damage. Great for clearing campers, taking out enemies with cover, or just vehicles. Not having easy access to an explosive weapon is a disadvantage in this game. I like the volcano over the osmaw because the rockets have drop and the 100 meter limit on rocket range is with in render range.

The emp grenade seems so situational that I don't see people using it much outside specific vehicle missions. No matter what I hope they don't require a high rank to unlock.

The only gun that needs a nerf is stock nfas

You know there are rocket launchers, opgls, grenades, etc to take out cars? Explosives are even useful for aoe damage to clear corners or halls without ever exposing yourself. And it still stands, stay 15 meters away and take them out with your secondary. Or use a car as cover yourself. This is why an nfas is giving you trouble, you can't even think of basic ways to counter your enemies tactics. -
yeah the only real difference is the piercing mod.
-
have there been any actual reskins of secondary weapons? Variations yes, but I can't recall an actual reskin.

the viability in CQC is the primary reason why the ntec over shadows every other AR in the game. The ntec is too versatile, why handicap yourself with an AR with less range, less accuracy, or worse close up? Ntec does not need a massive nerf but it can not be as good lose up, master of medium, and decent at long ranges (though still useless at sniper ranges). -
there is a silenced version of the FBW.

To counter the hvr get close or use cover. I usually rush an hvr user in my car, get out and use a cqc weapon. You have to swap your weapon to counter your opponent. An nfas is pretty easy to counter with just a secondary and 1 conc grenade. -

compared to the Ntec the OBIR and Obeya are worse, but to make up for that they gain better long range and accuracy. It is so easy to just press the mouse button and swirl the Ntec around your enemy as they are jumping around than be in LDS with the OBIR or Obeya. -

Obeya and obir are great for mid to long but horrible at close. The ntec is good for close, great at mid and decent at long. The only downside to the ntec are the furthest ranges (sniper) which are generally the easiest to counter since grenades, cover, distance, and a smaller hotbox become factors. I feel the ntec is just a little too good in cqc with it's accuracy, rof, and being full auto. Right now it seems like chosing any AR other than the ntec for close to long range is handicapping yourself. -

Use a secondary and stay at least 15 meters away, done, you just countered the NFAS. -
The most common weapon, not just AR, I come across is the ntec or a variant there of. It is not uncommon for me to into a mission where one whole side is using ntecs. As for why some people do not use the ntec, it's not for everyone. Players are individuals and enjoy different play styles, they have differing skill levels and some just refuse to use "the most popular" weapon out of a sense of stubborn pride. Hell, I know explosive weapons aren't the best but I use them the most because it's fun blowing stuff up, but when I start to lose too much ground I fall back on the ntec. So many people do this, especially against golds, they start out with their "fun" weapon and end up falling back to the ntec when they need to put up a good fight. The ntec is great in multiple ranges, has a good equip time, has no hindering movement penalties when equipped, doesn't require a player to stand perfectly still to land shots, and has plenty of ammo, and great accuracy/damage. The only downside to the ntec is at sniper ranges. No other AR is as diverse which is why the ntec is so commonly seen.
-
And there is always someone there to lap it up
-
no, I am describing the ntec. The other ARs have more short comings, less range, less accuracy, less damage. There is no reason to use any other AR due to the diversity of the ntec.

Can you get threat from unopposed missions?
illgot replied to Tunner's topic in General Discussion Archive
do you level contacts by doing unopposed missions? -
The ntec is good in CQC, excellent in mid and decent in long ranges. It has no massive downsides other than sniper ranges. Lets take the SHAW. It has one of the lowest TTKs in the game, an effective range of 80 meters, but is by far not viable in most fights due to it's lack of accuracy, lack of mobility, complete lack of accuracy while moving, and equip time. Most weapons in APB has massive downsides in multiple areas like the SHAW, the ntec really only has one (sniper ranges). Other than sniper ranges it is good in CQC, excellent in mid and decent in long ranges. CQC weapons have massive downsides past 10-20 meters, that means in mid, long and sniper ranges they are completely ineffective. They have massive spread and poor accuracy so even if they had an effective range of 100 meters hitting anyone past mid range would be a miracle. The ntec in it's current form is fun because it is viable in almost every situation, but it needs balancing because it makes almost every weapon in the game pale in comparison. Sure, some weapons will be better than the ntec in certain areas, but no weapon is as versatile in CQC, mid and long range.
-
How long will it take an OCA to kill a person at 70 meters? How about a shotgun (you pick)? 2 seconds for the ntec... my gosh, how ineffective especially if your opponent is using a cqc weapon. The ntec isn't the best outside if it's effective range, but it is at least viable. And it is still decent at cqc 1000 times more than a cqc weapon is at 70 meters.
-
The ntec covers multiple ranges and is only piss poor at sniper ranges. Cqc weapons only cover cqc ranges, some only up to 10 meters effectively. An ntec won't out perform every cqc weapon in cqc ranges but for a weapon with such diversity and range coverage, along with having nearly no massive drawbacks save sniper ranges, the ntec is too viable in cqc due to its accuracy, rate of fire and clip size.

Deactivating threat segregation during low population?
illgot replied to HelplessBaby's topic in General Discussion Archive
My issue on Jericho is when the only available district (the 1 populated silver district) I can play is at 40/40 and I have to sit there for 10 minutes spamming the join district in the hopes someone leaves. At least give us a queue system. And start tossing bronze and trainees in the green district. They should not be in the silver or bronze district by default. You are losing a lot of potential returning players because they get stomped hard by silvers in the bronze districts.
