APB 64-bit,145hz and beyond?
BlatMan replied to nattsvart_katt's topic in General Discussion Archive
Ghetto fix it by adding a timer that starts when you stop pressing a movement key. After X seconds set your movement to 0. -
PR1 and PR2 have the same recoil. PR1 has less bloom, but that's not an issue when shooting vehicles.

Also occurs with a Logitech MX518. It gets worse as you increase DPI while keeping your sensitivity to the same ratio. This mouse uses a different sensor, has wider DPI range, and use onboard memory instead of software for it's settings. That should eliminate any mouse related issues. For example: 800DPI, 10.8 sensitivity, 0.35 marksmans mode, issue occurs but not obvious. I can't consistently reproduce it. 800 * 10.8 * 0.35 = 3024 6400DPI, 1.35 sensitivity, 0.35 marksmans mode, issue is very noticeable. I can slowly move the mouse across my desk without turning the camera. 6400 * 1.35 * 0.35 = 3024 Remember this mouse fix thread? https://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/364-mouse-accelerationdampening-fix/ Baseinput.ini: Bindings=(Name="MouseX",Command="Count bXAxis | Axis aMouseX Speed=2.0") Bindings=(Name="MouseY",Command="Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=2.0") Those settings double the number of counts the game sees from your mouse. I tried messing with it and noticed that setting to say 0.5, 0.25, etc, makes the issue occur even at player tracking speed, while 2.0 made it harder to do. This explains why some people feel like their mouse is more responsive with that fix. Regardless, this problem needs to be resolved. There's lots players who play other games with extremely low DPI, as in using 20" of desk space to turn 180 degrees or less. These players will not be able to play APB reloaded. How have I not noticed this issue since 2012? It's most likely due to using a higher sensitivity than most "pro" players. (800DPI, 10.8 sense, 0.35 mm) and using a 1680x1050 75hz display. I now play with a 2560x1440 144hz display. Every now and then I notice a slight pause or a pixel jump. I thought my +10 year old mouse was diying, or 800DPI is not high enough to pixel perfect aim at 10.8 sense. I tried changing it and noticed the camera stopped moving.

APB's camera does not respond when using very low sensitivity. I've tested it with different DPI settings. 400 DPI requires faster mouse movement to make the camera start rotating, 3200 DPI requires slower mouse movement. At 400 DPI, I can move the mouse across my desk and not turn the camera. This is only affecting APB Reloaded. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set sensitivity to 0.5 or lower. 2. Very slowly move mouse to rotate camera. Results: The camera does not rotate. Expected Results: The camera should always rotate. Other Information: List of changes that have no affect: - Graphics settings (min/max, fullscreen/windowed, etc). - Windows cursor speed. - USB poling rate. - Putting mouse on dedicated PCIe USB 2.0 controller. Other Sensitivity settings that cause this issue (DPI, Sensitivity, Marksmans mode sensitivity). - 1600, 5.44, 0.2 - 3200, 2.71, 0.35 Hardware: CPU: Xeon W3680 @ 4.25GHz RAM: 12GB DDR3 2133Mhz Triple Channel GPU: GTX 1080 8GB Mouse; Logitech G400

- Reduce the trunk interaction area on vehicles. It's too big. Sometimes you take items out of the trunk instead of entering/exiting the vehicle. - Allow the trunk to be interacted with regardless of the vehicles height and rotation to the player. - Separate key binding for entering vehicles vs picking up items. This will allow players to choose if they want to pickup an item or enter a vehicle. - Vehicle break in progress should be shared between all doors. If the driver door is 50%, starting on the passenger door should continue from 50%. - Crosshair takes priority for every action. If you're too close to a wall, let the osmaw hit the wall. Don't make it come out at an angle. Same with grenades and all other projectiles.

Matchmaking and Extiction of middle threat levels.
BlatMan replied to Queen of Love's topic in General Discussion Archive
Does the threat system take into account the total time spend in an opposed mission. For example, players called in as backup during the final stage will have lower score than players who completed multiple objectives in the previous stages. Will the lower scored backup players lose threat? -
Do you have confidence that APB is being properly managed?
BlatMan replied to proxie's topic in General Discussion Archive
I vote all of the above. LO are doing their best but they are incompetent so things never go as planned. I also have too little knowledge of the inner workings of the company to suggest improvements. -
The solution, Premium to play, cheaters

MonkaS for senior GM! -
I couldn't interact with the forums on this account for 2 years because G1 removed all forum permissions from the account due to an inappropriate name. It didn't say banned and all the posts were still visible to the public. It's like they tried editing the database and broke it, instead of just allowing a new name change.

A list of all the known techs of APB
BlatMan replied to Clumsyhunt3R's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
You can carry a Mikro or Vaquero in the bed of a Dolton Montane. Putting VIP or a final stage item in the Mikro/Vaquero bypasses the vehicle slowdown mechanic. You can also just get a Han Coywolf, since it's acceleration is barely affected, but that's boring. -

Some users are having issues logging in with Steam. It could be related. -
Is this 64bit upgrade something you're looking forward too?
BlatMan replied to R3ACT3M's topic in General Discussion Archive
G1 ruined ram raiding with the $1500 permanent witness limit. Besides that it's really up to the players to dress to the role. -
As long as they're not purposely blocking mission objectives they can do all the garbage truck ramming they want. It adds to the chaos.

APB 64-bit,145hz and beyond?
BlatMan replied to nattsvart_katt's topic in General Discussion Archive
Before we had BattlEye I tested 240fps by unlocking the fps limit. It was still a bit choppy but it worked in low action areas of the map. I didn't have the sliding bug either, that was introduced later. -
I must have mixed them up. Doesn't help that they're named the same.

To answer OP, Rent weapons from contacts. Learn your play style so you can match the weapon to it. There is no best weapon. And here's my rant on the Cobly .45. The Colby .45 is popular because most of the other secondaries have been nerfed, or don't have the performance outside their small niche. ACT44 and Cobly RSA got mobility nerfed with the sprint shoot delay being linked to the rate of fire. RFP-9 was over nerfed after initially being over buffed. Showstopper was nerfed. The N-FA 9 and S-AS PDW have too low of accuracy be effective over 15M. The FBW has more bloom so it cannot achieve minimum time to kill at it's max range of 30M, otherwise it's a good competitor due to the faster draw time and minimal recoil. The OCA Nano kinda competes with the .45, but you're restricted to the 'Connoiseur' until R195. It has mobility sling which increases the draw time. You can get 3 shots off with the .45 before you can shoot the 'Connoiseur'. Then when you are R195+, there's a 1/1000 chance you get a weapon daily activity, and even then 2 of 4 of those Nanos have mobility sling.

It must do something useful if you don't want it back.
-
You mean like how the in game report system says it did something when in reality it does not.
-
Honestly think these are bots. That channel looks and sounds the same as those ai generated bots that read off wikipedia articles and mix in stock footage.
-
It thinks Rigol's oscilloscopes driver is a cheat, and occasionally blocks firefox when opening Armas.
-
If that were true 98% of the players would use the Raptor 45.
-
Found in VehicleDecals. I also recommend checking out the TESDecals.upk. Lots of unused symbols.
-
LO won't ban cheaters even if they livestream with boxes showing players through walls.
-
Same. G1 said they couldn't migrate the current engine to 64 bit. Than again, G1 said they couldn't add things to the GUI yet Little Orbit managed to add extra options and make the trade system. In the end it doesn't matter. Still going to play till the game is dead. Most AAA multiplayer games are the same thing year after year. No point in getting another COD or Battlefield when the old ones play better.
-
Two things can be true. Dat needs to git gud, and LO need to ban the few blatant cheaters that exist. Most of them live stream or post clips on Youtube. It's not hard to find them, but it's pointless submitting tickets to support if they're going to ignore it. Matt wants to bring back EAC, but I don't see that making a difference if support continues to ignore the obvious.
