The issue is that if they allow international transactions, the price should be adjusted for the certain region or clarify if VAT is not included if going to keep it the same. When I buy a game on Steam, I see the the final price that I will have to pay (for me it will be 6$, for others will be 5$), not the price that goes to publisher, developer or government.

They are not complaining about the ini files. Those are officially allowed for edit.

You are allowed to modify the ini file in particular anyway even if they add them inside the game. The fact that it is just a text file and can be opened with the most basic text editor bundled with Windows means that they had no intentions of stopping you from editing it. That doesn't apply for other files though.

I am aware for that but that doesn't mean you can't profit from modifying game files. If it wasn't a big deal, it wouldn't be encrypted and forbidden to change for most online games.

It doesn't matter even if you make something completely pointless like making shit to slow you down. File modifying is forbidden in any pvp game and it makes no difference for the cheat detecting software what you are trying to do as long as it detects changes. There is most likely something like that mention even in APB ToS. But if it is true that there is no file protection right now in APB, that just leaves the gates open for cheaters. Also my mentality is like this: if you waste time to do it, then it is not as pointless of a change as you make it looks like.

Modifying anything other than the ini file is pretty much not any different than hacking.

And? All games have VAT included in their prices. APB is the only game that i know which advertise prices without VAT. There isn't even an asterisk to mention that vat is not included. You only see the full price when attempt to make a purchase. Also since the non taxed price is listed as 5$, does that means LO pays no taxes for sales in NA? That doesn't even make sense.

Cool. Just have those 2 allowed and forbid anything else. It will also prevent use of any other launcher that touches anything else.

But the config file used by the advanced launcher is only 1, isn't it? Can't they just allow changes on that single file only?

This makes me wonder what exactly is that EAC doing. I have seen it working well in other games but not here it seems.

Not to burst your bubble but this game is not becoming an esport anytime soon. It is actually more likely to run out of playerbase than anything if they keep making such dumb decisions just to pander to the veterans. What is next? Unbanning cheaters again?

Explosives can always be a exception. Not really that hard to figure out. ummm... you are no longer getting rewarded for killing bounty of your faction to begin with.

The nano seems to be around 4mil in EU right now. Does the contract missions still give nano? I am really thinking of selling mine.

Because it is only getting on the way of the gameplay and is nothing but annoyance. Even if FC I see people having to excuse each other when they accidentally kill someone. It happens so often. Makes the game more tense for the target and gives the others something else to do. It also embraces the open world thing as someone said in another thread.

Then they should make something for the enforces instead. look, I know it is not a very well designed system but makes the game less stale. There are in fact much worse things in this game that needs to be looked at... like team damage (why is such trollish thing still in the game is anyone's guess)

Well ok. even if it happens. You die once and then what? Are you telling me you are good enough to sustain heat 5 but can't win a mission just because you died once? btw there is a way to get rid of heat between missions too.

Maybe because the matchmaking is garbage even with segregation. Not having at all is still worse. It is only good for those on the top of the food chain because they get easy opposition.

Yeah ok. Such a strong argument I cant even argue with it. I have played this game for 2 years or something and no one had huge problems with this. The only issue was that crims can kill their own and the enforcers can't and it got solved. How did this became such a problem all the sudden just now?
