  1. Yeah, was one of my concerns listed in the Possible Concerns list.
  2. Hi, Considering APB's player count during late evening/night hours during weekdays, I think it would be great if contact pledging would not be district-dependent anymore, meaning that I could pledge to a contact situated in Waterfront even though I am currently playing in Financial and could still earn standing for that contact. As I am currently trying to max out a Waterfront contact and only come to play APB past 12am in the middle of the week, things are getting squiffier when trying to find a Waterfront district with enough players the later it gets. I'd have absolutely no problem with playing on Financial where the player counts are stable, but unfortunately, I won't get any standing for the contact I desire to level up. Pros Complete freedom: Play on whatever map you feel like playing at the moment. Not entirely dependent on player count anymore Easy to implement? You'll just need to make pledging across districts possible and count to the earned standing towards the respective contact correctly, and that would be about it. Possible Concerns Both maps are meant to played on: You are supposed to get to learn Financial and Waterfront. I think that attributes quite alot to learning on how to master the game. There is a risk that one district gets completely neglected as everyone favors the other district. Lore and mission context: A Waterfront contact would have no Financial missions for you. That would not make much sense. But f*** it, who reads the mission description anyways. For example: Give me a mission from Justing Teng (Financial) but make it that Orlenz' Moretti (Waterfront) proposed it to me. Doesn't really matter as long as the standing goes to the right contact (in this case, Orlenz' Moretti). What do you think about it?
  3. So you want them to change to Unreal Engine 4 after they haven't even finished upgrading to 3.5 after what, 6 or 7 years? Boy, APB will the most balanced game in the entire shooter genre before that happens.
  4. Ikr. Imo, all effort spent to keep this broken and dead horse somehwat alive should have been instead allocated to making a successor to APB:R, A successor with a solid framework and foundation to make future improvements easier.
  5. It is not messing up my game entirely and is barely noticeable, but it IS there. This fact alone bugs me. Try it out. I'll have to look into my ingame settings, but my sensitivity should be around zero.something.
  6. It is not. Have noticed it aswell with my mouse on 800 DPI.
  7. Hi! I really like the N-SSW 74 'Kraken's' weapon model, unfortunately, I am not a fan of the weapon mods of this version. It'd be really cool if the N-SSW 74 'Kraken's' weapon model would be sold as another N-SSW 74 Dvah version.
  8. A macro is a macro, no matter if it works properly or not. The potential is there and as long as there is a potential, there will be an abuse of it. A poorly written aimbot is an aimbot after all and will get you banned one way or the other.
  9. Macros should be bannable/remain bannable. A hack is nothing else than a piece of software that does something the player should do himself, but all automatically. A macro does the tapping for you, but in an ideal interval. It is hacking, just like an aimbot does the aiming for you.
  10. And I say that it is not a smooth game experience. Additionally, I could assume that you are also lying to yourselves by claiming that you don't feel any difference at all. So here we are with our discussion. There is no excuse for any company to have these latencies for such a long period of time, especially not when it's running a shooter. If CS:GO or R6:S had these issues, forums would be at war. I wonder why people here are making an exception here. It is a shooter, it is a game with a community that has basic needs. A stable latency is the least thing one could demand. Away with the "LO is here to save us. In contrary to the abusive G1, they are the good guys. We will accept every excuse they make just because we have been treated badly before." mentality. It's cool that they keep us updated with the migration status, but there is a time where results is all we want to see, not a live status tracker.
  11. Dafuck. Having a latency of 80ms instead of a healthy 20 to 30ms means having a 3 to 4 times greater delay than normally. And "just" a blink of an eye? It's a shooter. It is entirely all about reaction time. Latency plays a damn huge roll, just like FPS and the Hz of your monitor to help reacting quicker and more accordingly. Post what you just wrote onto any other fps forum and you'd get dunked.
  12. I am not against players using custom crosshairs as the devs should have implemented an option to have a static, and perhaps customizable, crosshair a long time go. It is one of the fundamental things in a shooter god dang it. But then again, it would be in conflict with some weapon modifications that affect the crosshair.
  13. I wonder why guys like you even bother to stick around on the forums then and keep posting this same message over and over again. We get it, aPb Is DyInG. Thing is, this has been said for over 4 years now. I bet when it truly goes off the net some time, you'll be jumping out of your cave and say "See guys??? Told you for about 9 years now and you never listened smh.", like really, you've tried it for years.
  14. Oopsa, that code's known to most of us already.
  15. For now though, it's that only people with higher Rank have the access to explosives through contacts, making those players "more dangerous" than they are already due to their experience with the game. Either take away all explosives or make them available for lower Rank players early in the game so that scrubs, veterans and literally any player has the same equipment to start with, but just different skill levels. That's one less variable, and skill should remain the only variable.
  16. Indeed it doesn't... For the current situation, I'd argue that explosives on ARMAS would not be a bad thing for the balance. Explosives are very powerful for certain situations, such as objectives involving vehicles. Not having an explosive weapon is a huge disadvantage, and allowing only a minority of players to have ones makes things worse. In an ideal setting for a competitive matchup, the outcome is not determined by the equipment or weapons (or the lack of it). I doubt that explosives would be spammed to an extent that the game would become literally unplayable. A good player knows that explosives are not the best equipment for every situation and people will get to know that after one or two matches.
  17. Yeah, but hopefully, you get what I mean. If one team has the option to get explosives and the other doesn't, this is not a fair matchup then.
  18. But how does it balance it out when only experienced players that have grinded up to the required Rank have access to explosives and others don't have that access and can't counter explosives with explosives? It would be just fair if either the matchmaking system would work and players with access to explosives would only face players with access to explosives, or if everyone had access to the same variety of weapons to be able to handle any situation in case the matchmaking system doesn't work properly, which,.. it doesn't, as everyone knows.
  19. Might be a hardware issue on your part.
  20. I doubt that any sane company would ever touch APB. The time and effort that has been spent on maintaining, trying to improve, and balancing the mess that is APB should have been saved and instead invested in creating a sucessor, APB: Re:Reloaded or something, with better netcode, graphic engine that allows more freedom, and code structure for better hardware performance as foundations - a well-formed foundation is key for creating good additions and new content. You can clean and polish up a turd as much as you like, it remains a turd. Now, it's just beating a dead horse that has run rusty and is just hard to work with. But you know, they just sold the IP to Asia recently... so there is that with APB: Re:Reloaded.
  21. Where do you read that from though? "Minor things to be fixed", you know how their pace is.
  22. Yeah, it is just a neat little addition. You're not meant to be actively grinding for them. JTs come as a little extra, so does the perma weapon you can buy with the JTs. But since it's just like that, that isn't really the big f2p change for casual f2p players as it is advertised as, no, not at all. It's not a valiable option for f2p to earn their permanent weapon for a healthy amount of time played.
