People seem to forget that the Star is designed the way it is, because it's the starting Primary weapon of the game. It will be the first gun new players get to use. If it was still just as easy to use and on par with the Ntec, then the Ntec would get overshadowed. -

Ace is right. I used a XIM on console for awhile when I had to play with console friends. Tried it for APB and it was actually terrible and doesn't really help with the super strong aim assist APB has. The terrible FPS makes it only worse. It worked fairly well for games like Halo and CoD, but it doesn't register quick swipes and isn't even close to 1:1 input. -

What's the deal with people trying to make themselves appear mentally challenged? Regardless if you are actually dumb or not, why actively attempt to make yourself seem like a peabrain? -

That's why it isn't implemented for driving. Cars travel much faster than players on foot do. In the time span the server receives the packets and then sends them out to everyone else, the car will be in very different places for you, the server-state, and everyone else's clients. Even just being on foot, we've all witnessed ourselves dying behind cover and that's due to the same thing. Imagine how drastically different car positioning would be in that amount of time. Also APB servers being at such a low tickrate could cause lots of issues in updating vehicle game-states. And as far as I know, racing games have quite a bit of issues online when it comes to competitive racing. -

Well only a bad player would position themselves in a spot where they can be instantly accessed by a car. They're just basically asking to die at that point. Best bet is to just nade spam their corner if you plan to push them, but this is how the meta for the game has shifted to playing the game in general as we all know.

They already have a 'roadmap' in place that they're going to follow and weapon balance isn't top priority. Matt announced that even if they were going to do any balance changes, it would be very minor tweaks. You have nothing to worry about boyo -
Who is talking about 1v4ing at any range??? The issue is that the HVR's weaknesses can easily be counteracted by using proper positioning and staying by cover. Everyone knows the gun shoots slow and has slow move speed, but this is APB, a TPS. You've had all this time to explain all these counters but you haven't given anything. People have given countless examples as to why the gun is busted but the opposing camp never gives a real counterargument except USE TEAMMATES. Wow. Who would've thought that outnumbering a weapon would beat it, but also ignoring that the HVR has teammates too. And it's funny cause HVR's effectiveness gets even more disgusting in team fights.

Literally irrelevant. As long as an HVR has cover, it's in the more powerful position. You can't do anything until they peek and no other weapon deal enough burst damage to challenge an HVR in a peek battle (DMR 2 shot outlier). What? The HVR loses it's effectiveness if it's out in the open. My examples were specifically about having cover, how it's always used. You're then challenging a gun that can two shot with a long grace period vs a gun that requires 3 before drop off. If an HVR tags you, are you going to challenge them? No unless the person is peabrained and misses shots constantly.

Not any long range weapon. Another HVR-762. Nothing else will be able to challenge an HVR (besides DMR 2 shot) at range unless the HVR player is just out in the open. An Obeya will get like 2 hits off when the HVR peeks. Scout, they just wait 1 extra second to heal enough damage to not get 2 shotted. OBIR requires 3 bursts before drop off. And it's not even long range. Anytime an HVR has cover you're basically fucked if you can't spam them with nades.

Shotguns got nerfed for basically the same reason and people still use them. They are just no longer a must pick. Just give HVR the same treatment; nerf the damage
