the actual issue is how health regen works in apb. theres no use having kevlar extra hp + slow speed, because your health regen is ultra slow. a CA3 player will have more health than you if they just let themselves regen a bit of health, and then attack you. CA3 is basically must have because of the cancerous regen. and there was a theory that CA2 is better versus scouts i think. the fact that your regen resets from taking any amount of dmg is also cancer, like when a low yield barely hits u. someone who doesnt have CA is going to have a bad time. and med spray is a horrible addition and should be removed entirely. but APB has no devs so this is all only talking about nostalgia.

really volcano shouldnt exist and they should bring back the OG osmaw that could fire instantly.

45 is the only remotely good secondary lol. the FBW is an RNG spray n pray cannon, and the rest do like zero damage or are ridiculously slow.

its already been unplayable for years. extremely laggy + rampant cheaters. they don't even care to try to fix these two things, which are the most important issues. if and only when they fix lag and cheaters, should they care about looking at the rest of the game. if they don't fix lag and cheaters there is zero point working on the game, as it will still be unplayable. they have some pretend developer and mattscott is like a pretend ceo, who both do not even play the game. meanwhile the SPCT has literal cheaters in it still, which is a joke and insult to veterans.

" But, for the main point, I understand why Cross-District Matchmaking is appealing, but I worry about it killing the social aspect of APB, the living city aspect of APB, and making APB feel more like every other lobby-based shooter. I'm sure there's tons of things that I don't know about because I'm not a designer, but this is a strong aspect of APB that I am severely worried about being erased. Why bother customizing my character or my car if nobody's going to passively see it? there was rare times you got something like 8v8 matches, they were super fun and chaotic. i feel like apb sucks as 2v2 and 3v3, its too easy if you have 1 good player just win easily. 4v4 feels more like a good minimum match size from what i recall.

yeah it will just kill the game further, and there was nothing wrong with in-district matchmaking to begin with. if anything it was a feature of apb that other games lack, as apb is uniquely open world. if they cared to develop the game they would fix the servers, lag, bugs, and ban cheaters.

its not a good move. the correct method would be fix bugs/performance/lag/servers, ban cheaters, then fix existing content (many guns/cars are shit, remove p2w crap), then you can start looking elsewhere for improvements but i doubt they would ever get past the first step.

there literally is not enough players to have proper matchmaking, and out of the small population there is a huge amount of cheaters which will destroy anything left of fair matchmaking that you come up with. waste of time to even put thought into matchmaking before cheaters are addressed. the population wouldn't be dead if you didn't make awful decisions. the only part of the community LO has cared about, is the cheaters. its a good way to speedrun killing your own game i guess.

half the weapons are pretty much garbage. then out of the ones that do work, some require less skill than others (pmg = spray n pray). only like 2 pistols are worth using, fbw and 45. not really that much to it.

matchmaking works, if its not broken don't fix it. waste of what little development they could be doing (guessing they have like 1 part time dev for this matchmaking).

it might even be worth installing
