  1. Matt was just mirroring player dislike with "Not ideal." Them not being Specialists is weird but Matt wanted to push lower tier contacts so they could introduce new content. Unfortunate that we wont see more 4 slot vehicles with this change but oh well. Map prop edits are the easiest to do without breaking the map. I don't remember who said it but Reloaded wasn't joking about how editing the map is a literal pain in the patootie. You have trash tools plus moving a single wall requires the entire map to be redone. Not worth it.
  2. This isn't entirely true. A lot of the RTW raw textures are 1024^2 on their own. They're currently down scaled from that onto the 1024^2 texture atlas that a full character uses. With a single section of that being 256^2 or less, doubling the size would make it 512^2 (or less) per section. And that should only affect the base character model leaving clothing alone. I'm not saying everything is like this, but a majority of the RTW stuff should work perfectly fine with an atlas upscale. I think RP started making clothing in some weird dumb way that mimic's the base texture map so those actually would need to be rebuilt. Ultimately this is all guesswork and is kinda irrelevant at the moment. No idea how APB actually does its thing but increasing the texture res on its own should certainly be easier than upping the model res since that would actually require everything to be rebuilt.
  3. I'll admit that i doubt memory space is at all a concern. At least not a concern at all for the client. I have no idea how much data the character customization data is prior to being converted by APB.
  4. Kev is right, the current RFP drops between 40m and 65m which is a 25m gap. So 15m means it drops much quicker. Their choice of wording is a bit off but its supposed to be about the range drop from 40m-65m, not the actual min damage range.
  5. N-FA 9 is actually rather fine as it is. Just works as that "get in someones face and BRRRRTTT" gun. As for the Mountie, i honestly had an idea where it can be tap fired with .45 accuracy reasonably but blooms out rather hard when full auto. Likely a damage buff too since 1 kill per mag is a bit annoying for what it is.
  6. Test A is exactly 500 since it's still a 2 shot. My issue with them is that they're basically bricks/8balls with a bit of radius tacked on.
  7. Random video showing the OBIR switch delay. Technical issues kinda botched it.
  8. Unfortunately the pricing isn't in anyone but Razers control since even the much simpler Overwatch cases are the same price. Really wish the designs were't so blegh.
  9. True, people like that can crop up every now and again.
  10. $40 for a simple phone case is a hard pass. I'd pay $40 for a DMR-SD/AV charm or something though, like an actual 3D modeled one.
  11. What a weird complaint since none of the titles are the same bright red/green as names.
  12. Very unlikely. Its more just put on a back burner so LO can figure out and finalize the rest of 3.5. If anything a UE4 port would still be planned.
  13. More physically, females being shorter affects the height of things being held such as weapons. So the hit box not changing doesn't stop the shield from changing unless its animations are fixed at a certain height, which could look weird.
  14. Adding on to the size of said Riot Shield. They come in many sizes but for game play balance i think a simple torso sized one would be ideal. More than enough room to hit someones legs (Shield bottom reaches the thighs at most.) with enough room to hit someone in the head with most rifles (shield top reaches about mid face.). Only issue there is gender scaling since males/females are entirely different sizes. Regardless, most Riot Shields leave the legs wide open. And in APB, no matter where you hit your opponent, its the same amount of damage.
  15. Small shield plus the ability for certain weapons to pierce it would be interesting. by certain weapons i mean anything over a certain amount of hard damage or whatever. Not like San Paro has the budget for quality Riot Shields.
  16. I wanna guess this is about accuracy? Cause the actual fire rate between all RFP variants are the same. I'm trying to figure out if the Test B has a placebo or not though. It certainly feels slower but there's no mention of a fire rate change and i know you can shoot it MUCH faster than it feels like it shoots.
  17. This has been a thing for years. They've just rarely posted about it.
  18. You're supposed to test by just simply playing? It's not a hard concept neither a new one. The only thing to test is B anyways since its clearly different and actually feels nice, but questionable. On top of that, Nitro posted his thoughts after, gasp, actually testing!
  19. Nope. I definitely recommend Test B however. Really, i know people are going to complain over either. Oh, and probably don't misinterpret the B stats, those would be viewed as Live > Test B, not Test B > Test B 2.0.
  20. Again, you'll just have to test. The DB wont be updated with these changes cause of how they work afaik. Data mining also wont do anything since the stats are on the server, not the client. It is.
  21. Considering what happened last time, they want people to test instead of speculate. So you'll just have to wait until the update goes live.
  22. They want people to ACTUALLY TEST STUFF. So no, we don't get numbers.
  23. Seems like its broken because the system is working it by mag count. So for grenades you get 2+2 or 3+1 but for everything else you get 4 whole mags. Tested with the EOLs AAEPD, Flaregun. It's kinda funny since the change was specifically catered to grenade spam but because of how the system works, you get nearly a full resupply for all primary explosives.
  24. I'm not, but that doesn't really change the fact that you should test it before jumping to a papered conclusion.
