June 2019 - Engine Upgrade progress (screenshots & video)
SkittyM replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
I don't know how it makes the game look worse when it actually cleans up the jaggies a lot. The only problem with it is that it's not really optimized, but on my hardware (x2 1070/R7 1800X) the impact isn't noticeable. Does vary on setup. The only OTHER issue it creates is random green artifacts on NPC edges. Otherwise the feature does work and does what its supposed to do, its just really old and dated. Don't think games even use 8x AA anymore, usually jumps to either Nvidia's or AMD's forms of AA after 4x. -

Current APB has AA? Nobody uses it cause it's unoptimized But it has 2x and 4x i think. Depending on hardware i think you can get 8x too. Idr but 2x and 4x for sure. -
What happened to account bound clothing?
SkittyM replied to Xnetexe's topic in General Discussion Archive
Other than like 4 packs, all of that seems to have been lost. They still work under legacy if you bought them beforehand. 50% off sale anyways and all the Apocalypse clothing is 50 cents each so if you buy now, its not a big loss. -
Kinda my point with that. Everyone wants them but once you get them you rather quickly realize how "meh" they are and just never use them ever again. I think it's just cause of what the item is, could get more mileage out of the tin foil hat than the glasses me thinks.

That actually made me laugh cause it was true. Idk why but winning the 3D Glasses felt like winning dirt though. Like you're glad you won something but then its just a weird smack in the face.

As i recall, it was going to happen but was never part of the initial thing. The focus was always porting the game to 3.5 and using some 3.5 specific features to boost performance. Dynamic vehicle lights was one of those "after launch" plans. Still should be if Matt wants it. -

It really doesn't, none of console looks better than the PC upgrade. Everything visually is locked on console for starters. The console UIs aren't bad but they are not designed for a mouse/keyboard at all. Can't wait for the team to start working on visuals more, tired of filters and crushed darks galore. -
I'm pretty sure they learned from that mistake a while ago. Though it would be nice if instead they used the ARMAS event tracking system for stuff like this.

Super RNG based but better than nothing. Do the rewards *have* to be character bound though?

It would be the same as it is now since everything is basically straight ported in from LIVE. Might change after 3.5 goes live though, never know. -

Never had an issue with any version of DX but as far as i know, 3.5 uses few DX11 features on its own. Honestly just have to wait and see, nothing is done and further testing is needed. -

DX11 is rather old by today's standards. Shipped with Win 7 back in 09. Think most hardware from 2010-2011 and later shouldn't have an issue with this. -

I don't think the minimum requirements that Reloaded actually has listed will change aside from requiring DX11. No idea what happened with my Athlon x2 and Nvidia 6150 SE either, kinda curious. -

I want to say this is because of the derp low range culling. Can't be adjusted atm so it looks uber weird at night. -

That's a question for UE4. Pretty much everything is intended to be a direct port between UE3 and UE3.5 while UE4 is slated to be a complete rebuild. -

Reloaded never touched AA. And i think LO was removing DX9 mode as well so right now, there isn't any. But as Matt said earlier, visuals are not final and will be adjusted later. -

Late but here's a random mission we did for giggles. -
ALIG Mk2 and C9SD were shown off cause of this. It's nice when it does happen.

What you highlighted is a bit different from what this bug report is about, lol.

Summary: Opening a gift box means you cant get your original weapon back Description: When you open a gift box, the forced weapon doesn't register properly and does not allow you to switch back to your original weapon. Picking up another weapon results in your original weapon being dropped and the system working as intended. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Deploy a Valentines, Joker, or Christmas Gift Box 2. After opening it, your weapon is replaced. Switching weapons switches between Primary and Secondary as normal. 3. When you go to your Inventory and look at the Weapons tab, the replaced weapon shows as locked and a new button appears over the ammo button. 4. The new button is greyed out, stating "You are using your deployed weapon." and preventing you from switching back. 5. If you pick up another weapon and try again, you'll notice your original weapon gets dropped and the button now works as intended. 5b. If the other dropped weapons disappear before you can pick them up, you have to die to get your original weapon back. Pictures: After opening the box and trying to change weapons: Went and picked up another M-1922, dropping my N-TEC 7c: Back to my Inventory, i can now use the change loadout button: How many times have you recreated this bug: 4/4 Times Results: The forced weapon from opening gift boxes does not drop your original weapon, making the system think you have a new weapon as well as your old one at the same time. Expected Results: Original weapon should be dropped and the switch loadout button should function normally without needing to pick up a new gun.

New Joker Store items in the next update

There wouldn't be one is the point. Wouldn't be an issue with either as its something people actually want.
