Internet Connectivity Issues

Hi all,

 

Just FYI.

 

Several of our services are being intermittently impacted by provider outages related to hurricane Michael. I haven’t yet seen any extended outages, but connectivity is definitely going up and down which will cause disconnects from the game right now.

Storms are given short, distinctive names to avoid confusion and streamline communications. It'd be confusing to be trying to tell people about a hurricane based on its longitude and latitude, etc.

Whenever a hurricane is discovered, the meteorologist who does so is granted the right to name it. Most are named after wives, which is why there are so many female named ones.

 

I for one, am more amused that its named "Michael" during October.

From what I can tell it's only Jericho being affected so it makes sense.  I have a hard time believing that the phone lines can withstand 155 mph winds when rain and a slight breeze knocks my internet on its patootie.

Correct, EU hasn't had any connectivity issues and the issues I've had on Jericho have been few thus far. Played for several hours last night with only a small lag spike, but no kick.
