Hello everyone,
 

We are currently in the process of deploying APB: Reloaded Version 1.31 "New Horizon" and expect that the game should be back up and running in 5 to 8 hours as of the posting of this thread.

To celebrate this massive milestone we have prepared yet another Blog post that goes into detail about our exciting promotions, in-game events and new offers which you can all check out here.

 

PC CHANGES/FIXES

 

This patch introduces APB:Reloaded Version 1.31 "New Horizon"

 

Major changes and additions:

  • Added two new Tier 4 Contacts to the Waterfront district.
  • Added SARD Anti-Cheat.
  • Added extra cover and access points to multiple areas in Waterfront - Expect more tweaks to Waterfront in the weeks following the launch of New Horizon once we assess community feedback.
  • Added the ISSR-C ‘Kingdom’ burst rifle available for purchase at Anne inside the Joker Store through Joker Tickets.
  • Added three new modifications.
  • Added many new clothing items for both body types available on the Joker Ticket store and ARMAS in two convenient bundles.
  • Added the Mirage ‘Sundown’ and ‘Horizon’ presets to the Joker Ticket Store. These were designed by an awesome community member who goes by the name of ElinSylwiaVT.
  • The following vehicles unlock their 0 to 4-slot versions one entire Contact Tier sooner.
    Balkan Varzuga
    Balkan Ravan
    Macchina Calabria
    Macchina Cosenza
    Packer Ceresco
  • Retroactively added the following vehicles to late-game contact progression:
    Growl S4
    Dolton Fresno D400
    Charge Sentinel CS904
    Dolton Montane D230
    Dolton Montane D430
    Balkan Varzuga Rally 353 XS

 

Balance:

  • Increased the range in which Mobile Spawn Points become invalid from 35m to 55m.
  • Decreased the Health and Stamina damage of the DMR-AV Sniper Rifle to decrease the range in which it can Kill in two shots from 88-100m to 95-100m. The ability to stun in two shots has been removed entirely. The DMR-SD is unaffected by these changes.
  • Decreased the range of the OBIR by 5 meters. We are going to revisit this change once we are closer to making larger balance adjustments but we feel like the gun is currently too dominant and would like to address that for the time being.

 

Misc:

  • Added 3-Point Sling 3 to the ARMAS and Joker Store versions of the non-legendary Showstopper Pistol and renamed it to Showstopper ‘Quickdraw’.
  • Changed the Rank requirement of all mods that previously required a Character Rating of 195 or above. These mods will now have a Rank Requirement of R40, 60, or 80 and cost 20.000, 40.000, and 60.000 APB$ respectively.
  • The Sungnyemun Mirage now supports primary and secondary police lights. The ARMAS variants of these lights share the same unlock as those of the Sungnyemun Moirai.
  • Fixed various LOD issues for the player-owned versions of the Sungnyemun Mirage.

 

The Known Issues page has been updated as of the release of Version 1.31.

About time. I'd like to say better late than never but I still wonder as to why this took years to happen.

I can see through that... It was deliberately set to 95-100m to try and kill AV's ability to 2 shot at long range without explicitly saying so.... Because within its 0.6 seconds time-to-kill, the opponent can Sprint a distance of 4.8 meters, effectively getting out of the 100m play range.

 

For the millionth time, stop wasting time 'testing the waters' with obvious meta-nerfs and buff the irrelevant weapons like you said you will in may's recap.

Confusing. This seems to be misworded. And this is a 3 shot AV sniper. So we are increasing the range from 88 to 95m to get a two shot kill, 

for an anti-vehicle, and the stamina effect, yet the DMR-SD which is notorious for being used as a stunner, and is a two shot sniper,

is not effected by these changes'. It is almost like they have mixed up the two guns

no, it very clearly says increased the range from 88 to 95 for a 2 shot kill, as in it was previously 88, and now it require a longer distance of 95.

The effort is commendable, but APB is just too outdated for this update to make a difference

Can someone explain what the new vehicle mod does in actual terms, not the technical coding jargon.

 

The DMR nerf is uncalled for. God forbid literally anything compete with the HVR (not that DMR actually competed with it anyways, the 2 shot was a meme strat). Just another example of why balance changes in a video game should not be left in the hands of low to mid skill players, they simply don't have enough of a clue as to how things actually work and that results in garbage changes that harm game health.

 

Other than that, update seems pretty solid. Game has been long overdue for some actual content additions. I'm hesitantly interested to hop on and give the new update a go. Won't be dropping a cent on the game for a very long time though, after getting fucked over by that false ban and ghosted by support. That's a sour taste that won't go away anytime in the remote future.

Both DMRs have a hidden special ability that defies logic. Shots gain more damage over range, similarly to how 'volcano' rockets deal more damage the further they fly (volcano gains damage more gradually, DMR requires extreme range for the damage bonus to start taking effect)

 

In a sense, DMR shots are rocket-powered.

ah so similar to the Brick/ 8-Ball, this seems to be the same with the 20guage slug, (a reskin of the beanbag shotty)

where it gained power over distance, I shot somebody 5x at about 10meters n he just shrugged it off.
