Star rework & Implementing of N-Tec as default weapon.

thoughts;

 

STAR gets a rework into a 3-burst OBIR-esque weapon.

 

first 3 are low bloom, 4th shot if fired rapidly turns to current 4th shot bloom in STAR.

 

n-tec now default weapon.

I would love a burst assault rifle but I think reworking the STAR would be a bad way to go about it, even if NTEC is better in most things, STAR is still an easier weapon overall so I think it fits as the new player weapon quite well.

Because STAR is not a good default weapon and everyone uses N-Tec anyway.

You say this, but we're at 300 pop and nothing you/SCPT has done has helped this game. (I know you are just testers, and LO needs to listen but you are still "them".

It's "easier" but you still get trampled by an N-Tec. It's hard to balance these guns with such little data to go off I can only assume, but the STAR just doesn't work, imo.

What does this balance change solve? The N-TEC will still be better than the STAR. New players will have a harder time with a more complex starting weapon. Chances are the STAR will actually end up performing worse as a burst fire assault rifle than it does now.

 

The STAR plays differently enough from the N-TEC to justify its existence and it also has a specific gameplay purpose. Meanwhile the Ursus, Scoped N-TEC, and even the FAR are all way closer to redundant overlap with the base N-TEC, so why not mangle one of them instead?

 

Or why not revive a truly dead gun, and rework the ISSR-A?

The star is a good weapon. has very few issues can be used cqc to. See the thing is you gotta practice with the guns. i still remeber people giving me shit for using the odin or hel aswell as other non meta guns becuase they never play them therefore they do not know how to counter them.
