AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution released - VOTE FOR APB

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

AMD Released AMD FIDELITYFX SUPER RESOLUTION, an open source that mostly improves fps average... (i dont have time to explain how it works, but you can google it) in most GPUS (even nvidia cards).

The important thing is enter this link:

https://explore.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software-fidelityfx-super-resolution/survey

Choose APB, so AMD can actually add APB Reloaded to the supported games  with FidelityFX tech.

thank you.

If I have filled the form and added only Sims 4, after clicking "submit" can I do it again? 😶

Thanks for sharing, AMD FSR would be handy for APB in terms of performance.

Game is not supported, it won’t meet the requirements, games too old.

pretty sure anyone could play on native resolution with modern hardware..

the point of AMD release is to be able to play games with OLD HARDWARE.

what's the point of your post again?

Is your PC from 2010? Actually, even some of those can run APB at 100fps with minor tweaks. A single 9600GT (released 2008) can run APB at 60fps or higher if you turn down the particles. My last card, GTX 970 (released 2014), runs APB at 1440p 120fps max settings. I was also using a 650ti (2012) for a little while and that ran APB at 1080p 100+ fps, with the only tweak needed again was to turn down the particles.

Besides, I doubt this will run efficiently on such old hardware.

?????

I have a ryzen 7 2700x 4.2ghz with GTX 1650 super.

I average 160-190fps in apex legends with 1920x1080, HOWEVER I CAN'T AVERAGE EVEN 100fps on apb at 1024x768 lowest graphics?????????????

so yeah, i want to average 144fps on this game, maybe fidelityFX will allow me to do that.

Sus...()_() i use vega 8 on medium graphics in game on 1366×768 res and only get 57.9 fps.

My point is the game has poor optimization issues and it relies on CPU. The AMD fidelityFX super resolution focus on graphics card performance so they could reach 4K on modern games for older generation graphics card.

You trying to play apb 4K on max settings or what?

they said top titles apb is not one of them, doubt they can add apply FSR into the current apb engine.

Merged.

My i5 6600k OC 4.5ghz + Gtx 1060 3gb can go 144fps at 1024x 768 lowest. Even I could max out settings at 1080p no problem. Though the FPS dips are the causes of the game having terrible optimization.

I will get the new 12th gen intel + 3080 soon

Vega 8 is an igpu, only has 8 CUs (that's 512 cores), based on the old GCN5 arch and relies on ur DDR4 system ram for vram so that could explain why ur fps is so low. I have one on my laptop and couldn't even get past 20 fps lol

well hope u like that driver cuz it's the last u'll ever get, they dropped support for these yesterday

if fsr ever comes to this game (doubt it will, at least in the next few years), it won't change much performance wise

Lol i literally talked about this to @KyoukiDotExe after it was showcased by reviewers, FidelityFX would be a really good fit with APB knowing how many players play in low res stretched.

...Ulike DLSS where AI training is needed and a heavy implementation is required.

Funny that LO is not jumping on this. i want to know what they think about it. this would actualy be a good boost i think to the community.

None of them will use it because it will put more stress on the GPU than just using low res. For them every nanosecond counts. You also don't want the GPU being heavily loaded because it creates input lag. Nvidia and AMD have solutions for that but it's still not as good as lowing your graphics or setting a fps cap to stay under the 99% load mark.

I think ya'll need to stop browsing porn on the family PC.

I didn't say i can't reach 144fps in fact, I easily can.

My point is i'm not averaging 144fps and i have big fps drop in some places of the maps.

Lol noted....but u can increase ur fps on ur laptop with ram config such as having it dual channel u will get 50%more fps, check task manager-performance :ram to see. Most computers will be on balanced performance or power saving u have to go in graphic and cpu settings to change it to maximum performance. Lastly u can turn on movement base dynamic resolution in graphics settings. Been trying to find turbo boost in the settings but this is the closest thing i have found.

you never will even with fidelityFX super resolution this is due to garbage collection and bad memory management plus ye know 32-bit

game wont get support, to old,    if you want to know more about "why" go watch "LTT" video about it, easier then me trying to explain it.

That said, most of what FidelityFx Sr can be done in NVc-Profiles if your using Nvidia. (sorry AMD users) even if your running a 5+ old system and want optimisation or even if your running current gen and want the best setup.

But there is a limit of how far you can push the game due to its age, 4k and 8k is a great badge to have  but its visually no different from 1440 (2K)

there is a way to combat the FPS drops (which are due to various reasons) but again it takes some tweaking.

recently helped someone on here with a current gen system with RTX3070 struggling to get 20fps at 1080 low graphics   go to 144fps at 1440res fullscreen max graphics  by simply taking the time to tweak settings and understand there system.

completely irrelevant to what i posted, i was supposing u do have dual channel ram and an okay cpu.

this is what i was referring to

sounds like u have a 60hz monitor and we have a 144hz one

It's 100fps for under 120hz monitors, 145fps for 120hz or higher. You need to trick APB into thinking you have a 120hz monitor to get the higher fps on 60hz monitors. LO added other graphics options, I don't get why they didn't include a fps setting. The character sliding bug with 130+ fps still has not been fixed.
