Yep, all the Tryhards I arrested downvoted. Definitely infuriating to get arrested when using nfas by an LTL-fragiler..

What in the phucc?

APB-Tryhard: A player who uses nothing but an nfas, modded-pmg or any other disgusting weapon, often in conjunction with corner camping, grenade-spam or car-gameplay whenever applicable... on a false-crusade chasing the ultimate K/D-ratio (even if it means ignoring mission-items to stay alive) in hopes to shine in a leaderboard that does not exist
-
That would precisely double the downside of mag pull 3 on n-tec. It won't kill the weapon but I find it quite trigerring.. But indeed. If LO decides to nerf every aspect about the weapon rather than one or two, I might actually start supporting an aggressive test-district-A nerf instead.

These are not the norm as they were ARMAS exclusives till Little Orbit decided to add ARMAS weapons to the Joker Store. At the present moment, not even half of these exist in the Joker Store. Contacts do not sell tier2+ modded secondaries let alone ones with tier3 or R195+ unique mods (they don't offer an RFP with IR1 nor HS1 either). Although not as advantageous as the Fang, most of the secondaries you mentioned are still behind paywalls. Like Matt said: "We have been making a strong effort to balance the P2W aspects of the game, and unfortunately the Fang is one of those outliers that needs to be addressed." It is indeed a flaw to give ir3 to the Fang, but if every ARMAS-weapon was added to the Joker Store prior, the Fang wouldn't currently be pay-2-win nor an immediate problem. High-tier mods were given to secondaries in order to make them attractive for purchase from ARMAS (Fang included) & this is exactly what LO is fighting to reverse. LO isn't obligated to walk on the path its predecessors did nor it should follow every idea they had. If LO has no future-plans to have upcoming-Contacts sell secondaries with tier2+ mods or even open-slot secondaries, then giving the Fang (or any other ARMAS-secondary) a high-tier mod such as HS3 is an inconsistent solution to what they are trying to achieve. Pertaining to the Fang-discussion initiated by Matt, swapping IR3 with HS3 conflicts with the fact that LO nerfed the RFP's performance outside marksman aim. Eliminating pay-2-win is the goal, but replacing it with pay-2-get underperforming weapons isn't great nor fair either. A problem shouldn't be fixed by swapping it with another problem. At the present moment, I still believe that giving the Fang a unique-tagger-mod is far more gentle than HS3.

"With all of that in mind, I'm going to go on record saying that IR3 on the Fang sits at the heart of the problem we are seeing. It is simply a bad design decision." I couldn't agree more. In fact, level 3 mods on secondary-weapons are not the norm at the present moment. If there are no plans to give secondaries higher-level mods in the near-future, there is no need for the fang to have HS3. How about just giving it a fang-shaped tagger-mod and call it a day? It won't make it a better/worse variant of the RFP behind a pay-wall & it will give it character.

Why are you nerfing the NTEC?

If they push forward district B's N-tec, I'll have you arrested again. I hold you responsible for underperforming weekly-polls -
It is important to note that hot-fixing payment is much simpler than addressing tickets aimed to investigate potential hackers, engine bugs that are not worth fixing because Devs are working on a new engine, etc. Plus, it is most certainly done by forwarding the issue to handlers outside of LO who facilitate payments between game-publishers and consumers, so it is natural for such a process to be faster than a very specific-ticket. Such work requires collaboration between say these handlers and LO, hence the need to prioritize such tickets in a timely fashion. I agree that a 30-day queue for a ticket to be addressed is long, but this isn't a matter of fairness vs injustice. If there is a problem that can be fixed on a parallel-line effectively, giving it short-lasting immediate-attention is the intelligent thing to do.

I have asked my Fortune Teller about APB's nerf-train: ----------------------------------------------- We hopefully won't get to that point since changes are usually minor, but instead of 'Hey! This weapon is the current-best right now, let us give it a nerf', I'd personally like to see more of 'these weapons are severely underused and not as competitive, let us give them a raise'.

Low-Yields are also weaker against vehicles, but yes. Tweaking it further than just limiting the count to 2 is miles better indeed

Upcoming test-values were kept secret but I can still share my initial thoughts With reference to apbdb: Test District A What I do feel that justifies the ability to carry 3 half-bricks/8balls is that they BARELY offer any radius of explosion. A late-game fun-item for players to play with (or punish non-moving Campers). Values were not given for the new Low-Yields to be tested in Test Districts A & B. I can not speak for everyone, but since they would "requires a more accurate throw as we have reduced the size of the explosion", I would be personally happy with a hard radius nerf. Something like the arbitrary-values shown above those green-columns. If the nerf is not significant and still remains comparable to other grenades, I would be MUCH happier with the common suggestion of Limit Low-Yield carry amount to two. Test District B It was declared that new Low-Yields B will have the same radii as they do currently, plus an increased fuse timer of 1 second. What you have basically created here is Standard Frag-Grenades 2.0. They offer less damage but can be thrown much further... even much further than current low-yields because they get another extra second of flight-time. I can already see this being abused in some locations even with the damage-reduction. Unless the reduction in damage is sharp, Test District A could be the better deal.

"Textbook" doesn't include severely time-limited-rewards per season as OP is worried about. While the goal is to be the last squad alive, he can still progress through the RIOT-contact at his own pace. But he also stated that he doesn't want Battle Royale altogether, so he can also at a later date purchase things from ARMAS instead of playing the game-mode that he has no time for. I don't see why he is over-concerned.
-
They don't have to. Riot is its own thing, just like fightclub. Additionally, riot-rewards can later be purchased from ARMAS (They also shouldn't be upset about things that don't interest them nor affect them, especially on public forums). I find that hard to believe since you are here crying about something you don't fully understand (nor care about, I wonder why you are here). It was stated before that Riot is APB's own twist of battle royale. It never pretended not to be. Quoting from MattScott himself: 1 » "For those that don't enjoy Battle Royale style games, then this likely wont be for you". 2 » "This mode has undergone lots of changes during development and testing. Some of the territory control elements have been changed. We still want to introduce those mechanics, but it's more important to launch with something simple and fun before we add anything else. Our hope is that each season we can change one central gameplay element to keep the mode fresh". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I highly encourage you to keep up with what is being said and wait for the public playtest before speaking further incorrect nonsense.

RIOT's season pass works differently than what other BR-games made us get accustomed to. Simply because we will be levelling up contacts, not drive X amount of meters in a vehicle or do this much damage with an assault rifle like Ring of Elysium would make you do. With reference to https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/news/2019/4/19/riot-rundown: 1 » "We also wanted a Season system that encourages players to play within the time-frame, gaining unique benefits throughout the season, while also allowing new players who missed previous seasons to still gain the same rewards. " 2 » "Players who enter RIOT at any point in the future will start at the season one." 3 » "In order to allow us to have a single contact stretch multiple seasons in an interesting way, we are introducing Contact Prestige to the game. "Prestiging" a contact costs APB$ and/or Joker Tickets. Doing so will increment their Season, resetting their standing and showing the next series of rewards." ----------------------------------------- With these things said, you have all the time in the world. Nothing to worry about here since you would progress through seasons at your own pace.

You sound like someone who wanted a nickname but it was already taken. I am sorry, but that option should NEVER be considered for obvious reasons.
-
@MattScott RIOT sounds very interesting. It contains elements other BR games don't have such as speeding up zone-closure, bribing the escape-vehicle, etc. Excellent work. Protect your ideas before another BR-game steals them Is it safe to say that ARG-participants already earned 1 out of the 15 RIOT tokens for the 1st pass, or do you plan for the ARG-token to have its own purpose later?

Gottem.

Yes, there are cheaters who would dump cheating for good, but one fact remains certain: Those who got themselves a VAC-ban have been forever slapped (unless they ditch their steam-profiles). This sure serves as a reminder that these kittens once cheated and may revert to their older-selves at any instant..

Currently, routing to Australia is messed up. Your packets will travel all over Asia.. Using a reliable VPN can drop your latency back to the 200s.
