  1. Sliders maxed out on everything. Pretty simple really.
  2. In the discord, it was understood that the password was something to do with CLAWDIA. The mp3 was called 4.mp3 which is the clue that the password is 4 characters long.
  3. I see valued member of the community Vnight is here to give some great on topic discussion.

    Cheating

This needs red text or some giant flashing lights surrounding it. Some how people believe they have the perfect anti-cheat with their eyes. Thanks Matt for this write up.
  5. Not to sound brash, I think you should approach these things with more confidence and start trusting your own decisions. Don't get me wrong, It is nice to see your communication and presence on the forums. But, I think what you have said here is very important. You are the final say and you should not let a few voices in the community alter the direction or plans you and the team have for the game. The selection process seemed reasonable and well thought out, regardless of the opinions of some posts on here.
  6. I am not sure what is so obvious about that picture? A scoreboard doesn't prove someone is cheating.
  7. I think you meant "dedicated". Also, a decent selection of players from the community. Nice job! (MattScott: well spotted.)
  8. All of these config edits should be advanced options in game.
  9. Ah, I look forward to the "reported" messages in game! Keep a count for me Little Orbit.
  10. You do not have a 100% verified list of cheaters; So what is your point? If there was a cheater and you were able to prove that they are cheating without any doubt, I don't think anyone on these forums would be opposed to that player receiving punishment.
  11. The only chance this game has at a successful future relies on a lot of things. But, I think most importantly Little Orbit needs to upgrade the engine (we know this) and get to a position where they can truly pipeline content on a regular basis. AFTER this and some marinating, the name "APB" should be replaced with something else. Aside from the fact that "APB" is known as that 100 million dollar failure of a game to most of the internet, there is also a show called "APB"; This is the first thing that comes up when you google it. I do not have suggestions as to what the name should be, but I think a rebrand is necessary for any future this game could have with Little Orbit.
  12. I do not think it is as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Learn from this event, give the skin to people who participated, and try to do better in the future. The idea should be to reward player's efforts and investments into the game. If you feel that the event did not do that, then it makes sense what is being suggested.
  13. I am interested in hearing about this as well.
  14. Sounds like you guys are putting in a lot of work and effort. Cannot wait to get my hands on it!
  15. I am definitely interested. Can't speak for others however.
  16. It is a nice teaser. Keeps things interesting.
  17. Then they can add recoil patterns that are consistent and more pronounced. Adding bloom is an RNG mechanic. It does not matter if the player can mitigate the symptoms of bloom; It still introduces random factors to the gun play.
  18. This lack of direction with weapon balance shows a bigger issue. There seems to be a pattern of making changes, reading feedback from a population that is very divided and doesn't know what it wants/needs, and then apologizing. I think you could make more effective changes if you would pick a philosophy and stick to it. The players do not dictate the development of the game; That is the job of the developers. Feedback can be good to dial in changes, but if the team doesn't have a philosophy and direction for the game, the feedback you get from the players won't matter.
  19. In general, more bloom/spread is a bad idea. I like my shots to go where I am aiming without having to roll the dice.
  20. Glad to see a thread like this. There are many talented artists in this community no doubt.
  21. On 144hz, I was able to notice a difference. Its probably close to 15ms, if not above.
  22. Before anything, I want to say that balance in general should not be a priority as we do not have any consistent way to test these things in the game currently. They should focus on creating a consistent pipeline through the engine upgrade. Then add a shooting range or sandbox for people to see damage numbers and bullet markers/tracers in real time, as well as training dummies. The way I see it, all of the things you have mentioned are utilities in the game that are currently being treated as weapons more so than utilities. There should be no set of grenades in the game that can kill someone. For example, low yields should only do 300 damage to players, percs and concs are in a fine spot, and frag grenades need to do 45 damage each maintaining a bigger radius than low yields or percs. Car surfer is a high risk/high reward type deal, so I do not see any issues there. When someone is cooking a grenade, the beep needs to be louder and their needs to be a visual cue for other players to see that this person is cooking a grenade. Maybe put a red triangle on the player's location on the mini map when they are cooking the grenade. This will help mitigate issues where 4 players can all throw a low yield at the same time to instantly kill someone; At least you will be able to see it coming. After talking to someone about this, a good idea was brought up to instead remove grenades as an item; Instead make them a 30 second cool down ability. This would add weight to the decision and create a need for more situational awareness. It would also fix the issue of resupplying grenade spam. Car detonator definitely needs to be nerfed instead of removed. And I know people will disagree, but I think it can be a good utility to have in the game for certain situations. Make the timer shorter to detonation. In turn, increase the cool down, and make it more visually apparent when a car is counting down for detonation. Also make it so that the player has to hold down the detonator for 3+ seconds before it starts the countdown and give a visual/auditory cue that they are pressing this button. This will make someone THINK before they detonate it and give the opposition a chance to cancel the detonator. However, I agree that radar tower and car spawner need to go. Normal spawning is already a problem in a lot of ways. I couldn't imagine how adding an additional factor to that system would make it any easier to work on. Radar tower is just dumb, basically free wall hacks; Needs to go or have severe penalties for being used. So in general, the balance changes do not need to be drastic minus a few damage numbers and car detonator. But I think adding more visual and audio cues to the game will definitely help circumvent a lot of inevitable balance problems. As far as weapon balance is concerned, they should revert changes like you said. I think weapons were in a much better spot back then. Then moving forward, they just need to tweak damage numbers and make sure weapons do not feel randomized.
  23. This is actually being worked on. But remember, these aren't virtualized servers. They are traditional hardware that we have to provision and pay for 24/7. OTW US is a copy of what we run in production, so committing to OTW EU means additional cost year around. Man, you really acquired the near impossible task of fixing this game. Around every corner taken there seems to be another 5 problems to be worked out.
