  1. What any anti-cheat be it EAC or BE need to focus about is closetting and that was my main point ever since I started playing this game. Even right now without pointing names I can say we have players who in-game are top tiers in every matches you encounter them in but somehow this doesn't translate to veteran knowledge about this game. Blatants were never a problem. Everyone can see them, GM won't have real breaks to get rid of em as they are visibly cheating. And people easily distance themselves from them, even if they are active during their sessions. Closets on other hand. Pretend they are someone they really aren't via cheating meaning really skilled players are pushed back by them. Disguise themselves as rightful "veterans" of game as to undermine game progress (I mean if there would be some independent anti-cheat which would prove 99,9% cases of closets they would stand idly? Nah. Same goes for some of changes proposed here which got strangely bombarded by some people not normally active on this forum - just saying). They fakely elevate already steep skill curve of this game. The worst though is - they pretend to be me or you - so they will not look like cheaters but they are. And they constantly gaining advantage via them. So closets won't use your blatant aim, just smooth one, which would be something which would pretend very skilled hand in games. They won't usually use WH as human nature would make them follow targets they shouldn't see. They would probably use ESP, after all in most cases, it's very hard if not impossible to prove that you didn't just happen to look in some direction - and it's still pair of additional eyes. etc. etc. So focus more on closets, blatants we will report.

  3. Depends on your rig. i3 of 3rd generation, 8gb of RAM, 1 GB GPU and HDD means that in district such like Asylum you gonna have 20-25 fps, playable, very uncomfortable though. Still even in damn social I had... 40 fps. In social. And to top it off this 40 fps are unstable, usually were getting their chopiness from time to time and dropped to 1 second freeze, similiar stuff of course happened in Asylum but for some reason more rarely. For comparsion in current live Asylum right now I got 30-35 fps, probably caused because of player customizations, social is at 100 fps. Now some background tho. so it doesn't look like I'm "yeah it's not better" - first for some reason APB program didn't used full capacity of computers, at least according to task manager - this was pretty much reported by any owner of low setup rigs. We made reports so who knows, maybe in second beta it will be tackled. And loading times are significantly reduced leading me to believe that it is more of hardware conflict. Reason why I wanted them to put low setup rigs to test beta in past while everyone laughed at me. So I wouldn't cross out beta just yet. Most players with better rigs had at least okey experince as far as I know. There were bugs, missing features and other problems but that was reason why public beta was there - to find them with player eye.
  4. Dunno why you all need more than 5 seconds honestly. Whole point of this theme is just to play some leitmotif and let killed player respawn, if you want anything longer there are songs. Also bug known to the veteran community for a long time.
  5. Honestly? In my opinion it doesn't matter either way. Played on FC for several years, quit not so long ago. Spawn killing issue in takeouts missions was caused by fact that Baylan is too damn small for full population (and also because this spawn system seriously needs rework as it got only fixed spawn points about which pretty much everyone are aware of) Can't see how capture territory would change that, after all objectives for JT activities won't change so pretty sure only part of population gonna be engaged in actual capture and second in killing.

  7. Totally not the fact that Waterfront is less popular overall and it's sunday early morning in Europe in middle of summer break when you wrote this message. Get over it, like any normal small pop game, APB dies when it's night in intended for that server region.
  8. It's still a bother plus you shooting at shield will bring you to opposite team attention. Leave one ladder blocked, other guarded. Bam, hard time to enemy even with number advantages which shouldn't be case.
  9. Yeah, important ladders are almost always blocked with them. Not even gonna talk about bunkering with LMGs. Btw. ain't timer on activated deployable (time before it runs out)?
  10. How does this relate to what you said previously and what I said? So what if long term they don't give some mythical skill advancement? Same goes for usage of aimbot and wallhack. Going back to what I said... cheat is cheat and shouldn't be ignored because they are not as benefical as aimbot for example.
  11. It's not borderline plagiarism. First of all and most important there is name tag over creator of said symbol which is always advert in itself and link to fact that you created said symbol. Second - you have option to copy symbols, over and over - in case of symbols and music it's even free. You sound like you just made them one-time and don't save copies which is idiotic and beyond me. Third and last. Going back to copies - you can flood market with copies of your symbols and sell them at much lower price and honestly, what gonna that investor do? He will have to lower prices below yours to sell anything. I mean c'mon, it doesn't take MENSA memebership to figure that out. You could even ask veterans in-game about that problem, pretty sure everyone would explain it in the same manner.

  13. In some way, yeah. They allow abuse of every weapon which isn't automatic by making firerate impossibly perfect for anyone with human hand. And the fact that they might be unhandy to use for macroer at certain times, honestly? Flies right over me. Cheat is cheat.
  14. I want to remind you all that this game is in every aspect technically MMO. Hence why it has RNG mechanics and simplifed combat - of course it's made in such way to not be bullshoot as this game still is shooter but also MMO. For it to be fully skill-based, there would need to be put major changes and all careful to not break already fragile balance of weapons which is clearly put in favour of RNG mechanics. Not like i'm against skill-based game of course, I often get fucked by RNG myself.
  15. Sure but I love to treat it as unexpected FC with objectives. Also hillarity during that kind of matches is gigantic. It litteraly turns in street war.
  16. If they aren't even live, how can I play them? Question mark is there for a reason. It's all theory for now. And warning. Hey but what do I know. OBT Veteran who play this game from OBT minus 2 years of break, so I can surely say we didn't had big nerfs and "fixes" which broke balance in-game, right? Right?

  18. Alright. I give it a chance. Although this time if you guys really don't feel ready, don't fire it up - you saw what happened last time. Less disappointment that way than firing it up and crashing and burning.
  19. Imagine LO making zero-RNG weapons rn. - just like that, no other counterbalance. It would be chaos and forums would be flooded with "pls nerf" threads for months to come. Not like i'm in favour of this RNG mechanism but APB proved to be delicate game for changes and even subtle change in one weapon or car can create great problematic landslide.

  22. Shredder. Don't get me wrong, I really would want to love that weapon but it's bad on all ranges. It technically got "middle" range (5m-10m) niche but fighting on that specific range with shotgun is rare.
  23. FAR. Great weapon for all ranges, with some trade-offs of course but you never are "outranged" with it. Plus hipfiring is OP in many CQ situations.
  24. Well I barely catched into OBT bracket so... Nothing wrong with not being RTW/CBT/OBT Veteran. This game got such bad and small marketing that it just reached my eyes on OBT when some Youtuber I watched at the time played it.
