Awww I arrived too late to witness the ongoing chaos.

Will we one day, ever see these in game?

What a fitting name, heh. -
Next: the ultimate showdown. Lead poisoning tag team or full-auto death squadron? 2v2 where your opponents are two Ogres? OR 3v3 where your opponents are three Shredders? Let the vote begin! (this thread is just for fun btw)

Wake me up when this JG / Shredder meta is over

TTK means nothing if you can't hit. Now that the range is increased it's easier to be in your comfort zone. Also, the Shredder's fire rate isn't making you spew bullets like a garden hose so you have better chances to hit more shots in a row, whereas SMGs past a certain range will have it harder to hit the ideal TTK because the target is too small for their crosshairs. I could be wrong, but this is how I would explain your success. -

I assume this is because it isn't the stronger (or the most annoying depending on the points of view) of the bunch. -

Katana before trenchcoat!!! (not as a weapon but as a cosmetic) Why not a good old steel chair? -
Real bronzes would ignore the existence of such feature, as they do with most advanced features. Fake bronzes, however... *shivers*

Getting grounded by shotguns at a range where I would expect assault rifles and submachine guns to do it. Yeah, not exactly how I expected to see my days go by. Shredder as it is now can be either a complete fail for who is using it or a complete disaster for who is at the other end. If you know what you're doing it becomes a living nightmare, but I dare say there are still players not able to exploit it to its (newly gained) full potential. -
Medusa's unique mod allows the weapon to get reduced recoil by a large amount the more you fire, and since it fires fast you get a really fast increase in stability. However, you only get one free slot, while the Euryale and the Stheno have two, which means you can spend one to achieve the same (or very similar) accuracy as the Medusa or customise it to your liking. ...yeah, looks like I will be repeating what just about everybody else has said. Go for the Euryale, or at least try out the Stheno and see how it works for yourself.

Great. Thank you guys

Sounds exactly like what I do, except the part with the program! Which one is that, if I may ask?

Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?

Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?

If anybody ever did that, I would laugh until I run out of breath. -
There was (well, there should still be) an option to enter into a Training district shortly after creating a character, where you'd run a couple fool-proof missions to get a grip of how they work, before starting to get matched against other Trainees (still not guaranteed, you might get unopposed missions as well). If you skipped the Training, or decided to come out of it after being done with it, you'd have the choice to get into regular districts. I think it has been removed with the introduction of the new Tutorial, which is more like an in-game instructions manual than an actual Tutorial, possibly because ego farmers would just roll a new toon and roll newbies over and over until they made them quit. If LO decides to reintroduce the Training district, it will have to be carefully planned. Pretty sure nobody wants to go back to that.

Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?

That's not how a probability lootbox system works, though. Might as well put a stupid high price for Legendaries on Armas - not saying you should, but the end result would be very similar to this. And, apparently, I'm too stupid to use the Quotes properly when I already posted but want to reply to someone, so I have to make a new post. AAARGH -
Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?

Here's a thing that I believe most players are not getting. Let's say you have 1% chance of getting a Legendary from a JMB. You'd guess "well, then let's buy 100 JMBs, one of them is guaranteed to have a Legendary". See, that's the mistake that almost everyone makes. The percentage of getting the cool reward out of a lootbox (in this case, a Legendary out of a JMB) applies to every single box, not the stack. Each box has a 99% probability of giving you something else. You might be the luckiest man in history and get 50 Legendaries even with that low chance, or you could be like me and get none. Let's say we increase the chance to 10% because f*ck easy profits, we want to give Legendaries to a lot of people (not mocking you here, in case you're reading something wrong between the lines). Let's say you buy 100 JMBs again because, with that percentage buff, your chances are now generously higher than before. Would you finally get a (sort of) guaranteed shot at the Legendary? F*ck no Jimmy, f*ck no. You may very well still end up with lots of stuff that is not what you were looking for because of the same principle: the 10% chance applies to every single box. It doesn't mean you're getting a guaranteed Legendary after ~10 rolls. Hell, it doesn't even mean you're guaranteed to get one after 50 rolls either. The same strategy applies for every game, and every player from a certain game will tell you their lootbox system is rigged/gambling/unfair. Every single one. But that is just probability. The answer is the same for every game. Now, we might also believe this is more like gambling than probability, but unless the whole process is revealed we don't know for sure. All I can tell you is that, whenever somebody tells me the lootbox system in a certain game is more like gambling, I am reminded about how claw machines work. Though, to be honest, those are real money milking machines than gambling machines. Bottom line of this is: if you're not into lootbox gambling, then spend your time farming APB$ instead, then pick your Legendaries off the Auction House. That's what I'd do, honestly -
See? Now we got wasps all over the place. Mine are already eating through my food reserves. Please try flypaper next time.

Can we make APB more newbie friendly?

I like how you're called "Toxicitykiller" but at the same time you're calling them SJW for basically wanting to help new players building up a fighting chance against people instead of ending up as cannon fodder for the smaller population of experienced players. Not to mention that being (or not being) a SJW has f*ck nothing to do with this topic. -

Hi all! My request is a little different from the ones usually posted here. I'm on a quest to find a good procedure (if not the best one) for making character twins. My first character was a Criminal and even today I am not as satisfied with other characters I make as I am with that one. So, since I always wanted to play Enforcer with it but couldn't do it for obvious reasons, I decided to try and "clone" it. The result, which took 50+ screenshots of the editor with the character in the background to help "measure" the sliders' positions, is that now I have two identical characters. However, no matter how accurate I am, there will likely be a small margin of difference. This is especially true when the Attributes are edited, where the sliders all go their own way while you're modifying one. Also, I think I once stumbled across a gamefile containing numerical values which indicate exactly how the sliders are positioned. But I never touched them because I didn't want to screw something up. So, I'm looking for a less "crude" way to be able to make clones. This would also help me backup my character customisation in case something horrible happens and I need to create them again. Any help is super appreciated!

These "across the board" changes just don't fit with APB.

I have mixed feelings about it. I'm taking IR as an example. Slower firing rate guns actually get a bit more accurate, since the extra time between shots causes the crosshairs to close up a bit more. You could run IR3 on a N-SSW, for example, and get a result similar to having HB2-3, except the gun is firing slower instead of dealing less damage. However, although I don't mind too much the reduced fire rate, it can (and will) be detrimental to some guns. The ATAC, for example, just doesn't play the same with IR on it (I do run it with IR sometimes so that's how I noted the difference) and while it doesn't spread as much in full auto from a fair distance, its reduced rate will keep people at danger against CQC masters. In short, it plays a bit better at longer ranges, but it doesn't fend off short range guns as well as it used to. The way I see it, it's just a different balance. Weapons that would benefit the most from IR are not supposed to fire super fast anyways, whereas putting it on other guns just to increase their effective range basically comes with a risk. It's not anymore a case of "let's put it up, what's the worst that can happen". As for ARMAS presets, I think it's always a good idea to think twice or thrice before buying, as balance changes can and will affect purchases in some case and the user should be aware of that (that's why I always aim for slotted versions instead of presets). But, yeah, I kinda feel for all the people who are forced to use their purchased weapons in a different way, sometimes to no useful avail. Finally, regarding AR range drop... I'm not against that. But I have a feeling that underdog ARs like the STAR will only retain their status. Despite it being regarded as a valid alternative to the N-TECs, it's always the N-TECs I see used, sometimes (recently) others such as the Misery, but not the STARs unlike in rare cases. This doesn't exactly lead me to think there's an actual "competition" between the two freebie ARs. I'm also quite tired right now so I'm quite positive some bullcr*p slipped by. I'll clean after that tomorrow, if need be. -
An Open Conflict district... while I think it's an excellent opportunity for testing, I am also very pessimistic about this being a prime opportunity for those who are not about testing stuff at all.
