  1. You beat me to it, I was thinking something very similar. Although rewards from JMBs may sometimes be crap, that 3-day Armas trial is actually what you would get for 99G1C if you had bought it intentionally. So, technically speaking, no one is getting less than their G1C's worth, although I agree that getting trials for weapons you would never use or already have is kind of a huge letdown. Also, I'd be okay with trials of already owned weapons being turned into JTs, but first we would have to estabilish exactly how much in terms of real money are JTs worth. And we also have JT trials of Armas weapons to balance that currency tradeoff around.
  2. Yep. More instruments. More sounds. What we have already is good, but creators need MORE.
  3. Lean-jumping adds nothing to your effectiveness as a player but it's just a gimmick: you could not lean while jump-shooting and you'd be doing just as fine. Somebody said it would change the target's hitbox, but I highly doubt that. Same can't be said for crouch-spamming. If you're aiming at the head, a well timed crouch will throw your aim off. Crouching DOES lower your hitbox's height. Therefore I humbly suggest crouch-spamming is the better of the two.
  4. There was little of it because people were just starting to make themes. It took them nothing to realise that they could create a theme consisting of just a long and irritating BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. And it's not something that happens just now. It used to happen even when APB was a much more popular game. Maybe not in 2011, but (relatively) soon thereafter. Personally, as a musically-inclined person, using such a cool instrument to cause grievance to others should be enough to have the offender's face mauled by a chair. Bonus points if it's the same chair from wrestling matches. Also, yeah, as others have said, /ignore a person and their theme (whichever they choose) will stay muted as well.
  5. Oh. My. God. I almost forgot about that video. Everything in there is just so beautiful and distracting.
  6. You forgot to add the DMR-AV. It may look like a stupid's weapon, but people(*) have learned to avoid cars or GTFOing as fast as they can when one is around. But yeah, the SBSR looks so neat, and yet so dramatically irrelevant. I have seen maybe just one guy playing god with it, but otherwise it's a rare sight. I have better chances of spotting Genobee's personal OSMAW. (*) those that survived, at least.
  7. I was thinking the exact same thing. Balancing it so that it doesn't make other LMGs redundant or, on the other hand, just become dead weight in the locker looks pretty hard to me though.
  8. The minigun looks so cool. The problem is that a game like APB can have either a cool but horribly useless one, or a cool but horribly overpowered one. Guaranteed there won't be a middle ground. :(
  9. I guess the problem with making Fragile too viable would be turning it into the new non-plus-ultra meta. Players can be already so fast to track for me, I dread in terror thinking about a whole district equipping a buffed-up Fragile. The only thing faster than that would be a Warframe PvP match. But still, Fragile is a fun mod and it's just a pity to see how undervalued it is.
  10. I don't see why one-two deaths from afar are annoying but one-two deaths up close are perfectly fine. You still die horribly. It's just a different way to fight.
  11. Hmmm I believe they should show up as well. Using the Advanced Launcher with its files inside the Steam folder for the game still allows Steam to detect that you are running it.
  12. If this can make Kevlar a bit better I'm all in. I like running other mods than Clotting Agent from time to time and Kevlar is one of my favourites.
  13. Yeah, obviously it would need a case for when you have too much stuff compared to the space you have.
  14. Yeah that I already knew, but tendency to hackusate isn't that scarce even among good players.
  15. Golds call cheats on each other on a daily basis. A bit too common.
  16. Every time I make a new character (I have no more space, but sometimes I delete ones I don't want to use anymore) I have 95 emails with stuff to redeem. On OTW, though, I was blessed with 525 emails. I spent more time redeeming stuff than playing the game. I guess it would be a good time to try out a "Redeem All" feature just for those moments, right? Just saying.
  17. Well I can't say I don't meet suspicious people. But I'm usually too bad to recognise cheaters, so unless someone is damn obvious I believe nobody I meet is really cheating.
  18. When the number of tickets to handle each day is a constant 4-digit it's hard to get a reply ASAP. I don't know how many guys does Little Orbit have doing support, but I guess their manpower is not too big. As for your issue - I find it really hard that a DDoS would cause your stuff to arrive only partially. It should have even blocked your transaction before it went through. Then again, without any other options, I would've thought the same. Seems like the support is your only chance.
  19. I take this as the official explaination for the problem I described.
  20. You can play shotgun in Waterfront and be equally destructive, just saying.
  21. That would be awesome indeed. And so is this meme.
  22. I guess whoever has contacts to level up in Waterfront is kinda screwed. Just... why is that?
  23. I'm sharing this track I made a looong time ago. I think it was 2012 when I made it (my first listeners were some colleagues at university, first year, so definitely 2012). Entirely made with APB's Music Studio, later stitched together with Audacity. This is the only track I made this way, I did a second one but it came out horribly so I don't think I saved it. Honestly making such works is needlessly complicated compared to using a proper Music Studio, but it's a fun activity and I'm hoping to find time and inspiration to do it again. In the meanwhile, please enjoy.
  24. If you're playing as a solo player then you will get all sorts of teammates. Good ones and bad ones. Everyone who is going solo knows this and passively accepts that their luck might sometimes be a huge pile of utter sh*t. And as good old Murphy wants it, APB is all about said huge piles. I've had my share of teammates killing me just for the sake of putting lead into anybody's arse (and/or inability to do that to their opponents) so I know exactly what is this about, but please don't be that kind of person that expects their teammates to be all decent. It won't end well for your nerves. Now, you can offer a sacrifice to whatever deity you believe in, or you can find a group of people to play in a more organised way with. I take it you know very well which is going to work. And, last but not least: do take BXNNXD's hint, don't let it be about your K/D ratio. It's no good being a prime murderer if you can't win anyways.
  25. Improved Rifling is okay the way it is now. Tuning its buff down is not really necessary.
