Will LO Make JMBs Fairer For The Players?
Shini replied to Darkzero3802's topic in General Discussion Archive
to be fair, apb boxes are only $1, i think the % is a lot higher than CSGO's or PUBG's crates which are a tiny fraction <1% like 0.03% or even less. And they cost $4-$5 in apb, i am inclined to guess its somewhere around 1% for APB to get a legendary. even more with the gold joker boxes at $4. Personally I bought 100 and got 1 showstopper and also back in the day JMB1/2 the rates were much higher and premium was given out like candy. Its expensive but not that bad when compared to others -
Very interesting changes and I am looking forward to those OCA pull backs.

This usually happens by accident by getting out of your speeding car and having it push you along, since in most cases you cannot you're awesome with your car. Even though it is in most cases an accident, it is fully reproducible by just positioning your car so that it pushes you a long distance. This bug was introduced somewhere in 2015. When it's happening to you, on your screen it looks fine, but to other players you're skipping all over the place. I reported this way back in 2015, here's a clip from then. https://youtu.be/i1vxLCoPE88?t=49s Watch it from the time stamp of 49 seconds to see another example. Steps: 1.Drive your car and swerve it to the right at full speed. 2. Get out so that your car pushes you along. 3 You should be desynced. Or 1. Push a car or drive your car into a player with valzipram tablets. (slow enough so it doesn't kill them) 2. The other player should be skipping around and desynced if done correctly.

Has to be said, regardless of what the patch did. When everyone's using shotguns (JG/CSG) in a match...it was really fun and fast paced. Cars speeding, shotgun 2, get back in race around bodies flying. Game is so fast is quite exhilarating. But yeah err, it's a bit bad when only one or two types of gun is the meta. The rifling nerf imo was rushed, only really a handful of guns were the problem.

Why in the hell were ALL shotguns buffed?

Blue car mods in general should deactivate when the vehicle is moving I think. Car surfer in itself quite a disadvantage to the user and really only shows its effectiveness against inexperienced players (osmaw scumbags in bronze districts - fix matchmaking/dethreating) and I also think mods like car surfer only really become very powerful due to the type of awful missions we get. Missions in general need an overhaul at this point. All this weapon balancing nice but at some point we should be looking more at missions, spawns and some car mods. So in general, as a mod car surfer I think is fine. Remote detonator - agree Blow torch - agree I suppose Low Yields - imo, I would say the fuse time is more of a problem than the amount, it's really a race against time to push someone with yields Make consumables permanent- agree to be honest, tired of those damn emails and it's such a disadvantage to new low ranks Boom box - agree I personally think these mods should also be changed High Burn Fuel - Make it a green car mod and make it reduce car health and/or deal reduced explosion damage of some sort. It's slowed the game down so much already with people using it as some sort of mobile shield to just cheese it and car gameplay non stop, I myself am guilty of this to the highest degree. Radar Jammer - Make this mod do more than it currently does, make it remove spotter and flare gun tags and make it remove tagger Spotter - Make it show the user they're tagged and reduce the tag time. Ammo consumable - Greatly make it use more resources to resupply nades In a general thing, normal player map spawns in APB are so badly designed at the moment it's a joke. Too many times I have spawned right next to the enemy whether it be line of sight or 20-30m away from each other. It's literally call of duty spawns on Macro size. Back in the day spawns had some logic to it where one team spawns on one side of the objective and you could push a spawn to flip or change the spawn. Now it feels like it's random and its greatly simplified the game for worse.

Oscar is far from dead, just take out rifling and maybe use a blue mod like Mag Pull. Then pair it with a Fang or Golden Act-44 to suplement the range. It's still gonna be great within it's range.

I mean, I've been through big nerfs before and at first it was scary but it turned out fine in the end. I look forward to change now to be fair.
-
Kasatkas. I don't think those were armas guns, but fair enough they changed premodded stuff!

Thats not a good way to look at the problem tbh. My main issue is it is a gun from KTTW pack. It makes pack much less valuable, but the pack is the only way to get acc bound Charge Micro AND 4x4. I'm trying to create some discussion so pack can be changed or the gun altered. All I am saying is G1 has never went back and changed mods from presets, correct me if I am wrong someone? Maybe they have, but I still have that sour taste in my mouth when they released three reskinned scouts on the basis that they will be used for jump shooting (HS1 pre-equipped) then 1 week later they change their policy on jumpshooting being a bug that was a feature to then just a bug, removing jumpshooting and leaving the guns unchanged and mediocre compared to the RT1 scout.
-
Nothing will happen. The Armas gun for the JG shotgun wasnt changed when CJ3 on shotguns was nerfed. The Armas gun for the Obeya wasn't changed when HB3 was nerfed. The armas pathfinder scouts weren't changed when hs1 jumps hooting was nerfed 1 week after release lol. Your out of luck guys.

This year's snowball launcher needs to be renamed to "made by the tears of those upset by the Rifling and HVR changes" I guess.

Why is player movement still client-side?
Shini replied to Hexerin's topic in General Discussion Archive
Just so you know this player teleporting bug with the sliding car thing was introduced in one of the patches in 2015. It wasn't always like this. Moving to full server sided player movement *Shudders* isn't fixing the problem that caused this. -
Grenades very much need to be used. Your teammate was just a dickhead but try to take some care when throwing them. Fighting higher level people is just a thing at the moment. Matchmaking takes threat level / elo into account (Bronze, Silver, Gold) not their actual level of progression (Rxxx). If matchmaking can't find players of sufficient ELO to oppose each other, the boundaries expand and people of higher/lower elo will be called in with the option of either team being able to call in backup. I suggest you try to join a district that is 1 threat level below you, so if you're Silver, join a bronze district. Because most golds in this game don't play in their intended district, they join silver instead and so on. Matchmaking and threat/elo are on the table to be reworked in the future because it is pretty bad for new players at the moment.

Following on from what I said. HVR was also balanced in RTW because certain guns couldn't shoot past their intended range. The problem is this wasn't taken into account when APB changed with reloaded. Back then HVR was 850dmg even with high ttk. But now all guns can fire out at all ranges and easily make you easy pickings for HVR. There's just not enough downsides to the gun at the moment. Ok then if you say so, put all those things in APB then, whats the problem if skilled players have no problem.
-
Just don't get tagged loooool I can understand a sniper being dangerous and high damage but it's just so easy to snipe in APB. Other games have managed to make sniping harder and riskier. Like really low FOV or a scope blocking your FOV, cam sway with hold breath mechanics, projectile bullets vs hitscan, bullet drop, high cost to buy. APB has 0 of that. It's one of the or THE easiest gun in the game. If you can click the APB icon on your desktop with 100% accuracy you can probably main HVR.

New patch for 1.19.6 on OTW is live
Shini replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
CSG looking scary again :S They certainly are more consistent (in fightclub at least) but their range looks to be ludicrous again like in 2011-12. I hope the tweaking doesn't end here. But its a cool blast from the past! https://clips.twitch.tv/OutstandingIcyPlumageBloodTrail https://clips.twitch.tv/RelievedHeadstrongOysterThunBeast https://clips.twitch.tv/ImpartialFriendlySkirretRitzMitz -
Shotgun pretty yikes atm. Range should be toned down or we'll be back to the 2012 Meta boys. 3 CSGS and 1 HVR per team haha. https://clips.twitch.tv/OutstandingIcyPlumageBloodTrail https://clips.twitch.tv/RelievedHeadstrongOysterThunBeast https://clips.twitch.tv/ImpartialFriendlySkirretRitzMitz They're more consistent yeah but oh my god the range.

OCA used to be the benchmark. Now its set cut and dry above the rest. Bringing the other SMGs to match will just make the smg class as a whole just dominate. Because how would you make the other SMGs a better or alternative choice than the OCA? That would just complicate things and might mess up balance for other weapons as a whole. It was better when the TTK wasn't as low as it used to be. It got changed in the last balance patch a year or two back I believe. It's far less invasive to bring it back in line, people weren't asking for an OCA buff at the time. I can't see them being too upset if it gets brought back.
-
OCA didn't even need the buff. I don't recall anyone clamouring for it lol. Back then the smg choice was pretty wide with ACES, CAP40, Curse, OCA, whisper, pmg. Now its just...oca oca oca. Just back track on the buff imo. It wasn't a bad gun at the time, it was very much in the meta.
