  1. I suggest people do this for every game. I do. It works in APB and pretty much every other game I've done it in. To test if it works, if you push the volume button on your keyboard or something the volume overlay should NOT show up over your game.
  2. Use the DMR-AV PR1 because it is fun to use! While the numbers may not show it, I think the DMR is better at blowing up cars. The ISSR-B will bloom too much if you shoot it too quickly. Also at 90m+ the DMR is going to beat your dog ear. The DMR can be superior if used the way it should be used. I never bought into the whole "no reason to use this gun because this gun is better" mentality. If that is case, equip an ntec and concs full time because would be the optimal load out.
  3. You should be able to get up to whatever your refresh rate is. Make sure the vsync is disabled as well as smooth frame rate being disabled. Whatever your refresh rate is in windows should be your max frame rate in APB assuming you have the CPU power to pump out those frames. CHeck windows and make sure you're not on 60hz still...I am guessing you are if you're getting those frames. I have a 165hz monitor and I don't reach 165 fps but I am between 140-90fps depending on how overloaded a particular cluster is, etc.
  4. Then you should be getting over 100fps. Are you sure your refresh rate in windows is set to 144?
  5. Yes the population on Jericho is bad and generally there is only one silver action district. However, there is enough population for 2 full districts and maybe even some over flows if threat segregation did not exist. I'd prefer disabling threat segregation over letting you level contacts in Fight Club. The purpose of APB and the main game is the missions part....if you let people level contacts purely in Fight Club you're going to kill the missions districts which are barely hanging on right now. If you allow cross district pledging, you're just going to kill Waterfront since it's seen as the red headed stepchild district even though it's the best district. Dramatic changes are not needed if the game gets updated and population comes back. The other night Jericho had 2 silver districts with population and over 300 players....hopefully that trend continues.

    Lock gold to gold

Hi. They tried this before....back when the game had a larger population. The gold servers were dead, not because golds wanted to avoid those servers, but because there are simply not enough gold players on at a given time. Your suggestion has been tried. It didn't work. Time for a new suggestion or I dunno, play the opp you get and try and be better?
  7. Why? Then everyone and their brother would be crying p2w even more than they do now when you use a yellow gun. Make them unique but keep them balanced.
  8. I heard it was going to be called "APB Also" and not "APB 2"
  9. GPUs generally do not make a difference in APB if your GPU is within the last 10 years. APB only cares about cpu clock speed. The more ghz you have, the more frames. Frame drops will happen regardless of your computer setup.
  10. The issue with this however is the game was developed in the mid 2000s and released in 2010. The technology behind APB has not changed. At one time his potato PC was able to run the game. The game hasn't advanced, just the poor coding and optimization.
  11. Should be out at the end of 2011 or early 2012. Social has banners in them right now that say "Racing district coming soon"
  12. You asked for the argument, I gave you the argument. If you agree or disagree that is fine, but to say I didn't address it is absurd. You're arguing "against their existence." What is the point? They exist. I responded to whoever said they should be "illegal." In order for something to be "illegal" you need to create legislation aka LAWS that say loot boxes are illegal. My argument is why create laws when you have a personal choice. What is wrong with my last sentence? The point of loot boxes in a free to play game is to create revenue so the game can continue to run. As far as APB's loot boxes go, my personal opinion is they are pretty good. You have the personal choice to spend your real money and try to win the legendary gun, or you can trade your in game items and/or money and obtain the gun. Why are you so up in arms about them? Gamersfirst or Little Orbit has not used any coercive marketing strategies or taken advantage of anyone's addiction. You going to hold McDonald's responsible for people eating it everyday and getting fat? Going to hold beer companies responsible for preying on alcoholics addictions or causing drunk driving accidents? At what point do you put the responsibility on the individual? Don't like it? Don't buy it. I like freedom thank you.
  13. You only have one chance to make a first impression. APB is known as a "dead" game with a million issues. New players already have a bias before they even play. Once they get rolled by some vets they will hop on the everyone is cheating bandwagon. Or they will realize they cannot shoot through steps, why is that person all glitchy when they get out of the car? Why am I only getting 70fps when my system is decent? Few are going to accept the issues and enjoy the game for what is it. Their biases will just be confirmed and they will go on looking for another game.
  14. I do not ever recall a post or announcement saying the codes would no longer work or being discontinued. Take the risk!
  15. Of course their first amendment rights have not been violated. Drama is gonna drama.
  16. Here is the argument. It is personal choice. If I want to buy loot boxes, drink alcohol, watch pornography, or smoke cigarettes....it's a personal choice. It violates nobody's personal freedoms. Why legislate what is a personal choice? Why make laws banning loot boxes when you can just not buy them. You said "NOBODY" as in 100% of people do NOT like loot boxes. That is untrue. There are people who purchase them in a variety of games. If people did not purchase loot boxes, game companies would not have them. I'd prefer APB stay free to play and people can decide themselves if they want to invest in the game buy purchasing premium, weapons, loot boxes, etc.
  17. That sarcasm is going to get you a social credit deduction bub.
  18. Yeah, let's ban things you can voluntary do. More laws is always the solution. Don't like loot boxes? Don't buy them. Don't like loot boxes? Don't play games that have loot boxes. Why make a law if other people are happy to spend their money on loot boxes or don't mind their existence? I'd rather the marketplace dictate whether or not loot boxes exist rather than the government telling me so.
  19. But on NA the pool is so small. There is no perfect match up. You’re saying I should wait 20 minutes for a match so someone else can find the perfect match up? I’d prefer lopsided opposition over no opposition. This is apb. Not ready up simulator 2018.

    Driving System

Why are you unable to avoid them? I don't seem to have any issues running into the same indestructible poles over and over. I steer around them. Looking at the engine upgrade videos, get ready for more indestructible shit on the side of the roads.

    Driving System

So avoid hitting those poles? I like the driving in APB. Whenever I play a game like GTA V or Wildlands or something the driving is overly responsive. I don't like being able to turn on a dime. It feels really unrealistic. The cars in APB have an actual feel to them. I'd be disappointed if they changed the driving mechanics. However, that doesn't mean the driving is 100% bug free. There are things that need to be "fixed."
  22. I think LO is more competent than G1. I am pretty sure that LO didn't create the Halloween game mode from scratch. Obviously G1 started the game mode, but LO actually completed it and released it (and overall it was pretty good). G1 started working on an in game trade system. They never released it. LO was able to finish it and release it. These examples give me a little bit of hope that LO will actually release the engine upgrade. G1 has been working on it for years, so it is there but it isn't finished. LO has shown they have the resources to complete many of the incomplete/unreleased projects associated with APB. I do not think LO would have purchased the game unless they truly felt they could complete the incomplete projects that can breath some life back into the game. Overall, they have shown to be a company that is willing to finish the work and take constructive criticism and listen to their community, unlike G1 which would rather just ban you for disagreeing or speaking out against them. Kudos for LO for taking on the challenging task and giving us hope that was once all lost (for me anyway).
