I can't download the game.
BlatMan replied to nonameloser's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
If you have a Steam account you can try downloading it there. If you don't have your Steam account linked to G1 account, launch the game using the launcher, or the APB.exe instead of clicking play in Steam. -
San Paro feels Emptier than Normal...
BlatMan replied to a Pair of Socks's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
I joined a low populated district and noticed the same thing. This isn't the normal pedestrian pile ups. It's like they're not despawning. -
I don't like the UL-3 change. Balance wise it's fine, it just doesn't feel right. The weapon feels too smooth. It needs that slight camera jerking action. Maybe I'm just too used to spraying 7.62 ARs in PUBG with a 6x.

I'm going to miss climbing walls with my Bishada. It's nerf 1 weapon, or buff many weapons. No matter what someone's going to be mad.

I'm with Cookie on this one. I rather have people who don't want to play exit the game. I get accused of cheating when I run people over with a car. People call cheats way too easily.

Unopposed missions are no longer created, and there needs to be an equal amount of players ready per side to start a match. They also dropped the district population from 50/50 to 40/40.

Quick Question Regarding RAZER Synapse
BlatMan replied to NoRAGE's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Technically, yes. Realistically, no. SARD anti-cheat does not do anything at the moment. Little Orbit don't manually ban players who use aimbots on Twitch and Youtube. I doubt they're going to care if you use a macro feature in your mouse's software. -
The servers were unstable back then. It was originally the hardware. Reloaded tried hosting their own physical servers, called Overkill, using desktop hardware and overclocking it. I remember the overkill servers crashing all the time. Later on the DDoS attacks would take out districts. Reloaded would turn off DDoS protection after maintenance, the servers would go offline, then the DDoS was turned back on. Hit registration was near perfect without the DDoS protection, excluding the high ping lag compensation. When the DDoS protect was on, hit registration was like the way it is currently, broken. Character slots were given out when a region would go offline for an extended period, so players could play in other regions temporarily. I received at least 6 character slots. I don't know who Reloaded was using for DDoS protection. Little Orbit was using Path Network Inc, Path.net.

I don't think it's a server spec issue. The tickrate isn't 100% stable, but it's stable enough. It acts the same as when Reloaded would enable the DDoS protection after the servers were attacked. I'm leaning towards their anti-ddos protection not having enough bandwidth, or the service isn't prioritizing APB's traffic properly. I doubt they changed their infrastructure much.

Weapon mods change the weapon stats. Cheats don't. You need to explain in more detail because I have no idea what you're referring to.

Explain how a cheat can make the .45 better without also making every other secondary better.

I'm not talking about escalation, I'm talking about the one sided backup when the team threats are unbalanced. It calls in backup for both teams. It's broken.
-
I didn't notice until now. Your team get backup when the opposing team calls for backup. I didn't call for backup, yet it gives me another teammate. Then the mission grows infinitely because the opposing team's threat is low enough to keep calling backup.

It was a bunch of deathreaters trying to not go up in threat, with some new players mixed in.

Mind turning on SARD?
BlatMan replied to VanilleKeks's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Whatever they did, they made it so it screws you over for having low latency. EU with 100ms? No issues with hitreg. NA 50ms (in game, it's a lie) shooting at Brazilians? Nothing hits. -
Nobody buys it anymore. They farm a few joker tickets and get it.

Manually Banned Without Explanation
BlatMan replied to MistyRayne's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Maybe the game shouldn't show the email address associated with your account in the login screen. -
What if premium gave you an overlay for how much "data" each symbol and edit adds, rather than the generic progress bar? You wouldn't be limiting free players, it just adds convenience.
-
I guess teleporting around on other people's screens while getting good hitreg is better for me too.
-
I bet they mixed up their east/west configuration, and that's why hitreg is so bad some days.

why does LO hate stabba players?
BlatMan replied to ninjarrrr's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
I think the stun OPGL is sorta decent, but it's useless since you unlock it at max cop role. There's no point in farming arrests after that. -
WTB East US Servers
BlatMan replied to a Pair of Socks's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Surprisingly, I had good hit registration on US West yesterday, even when the whole district would lag out. I miss the overkill servers crashing too. Good times. I wonder how the district server will run on a basic desktop with an AMD X3D chip? Going by performance over the years, it seems like the districts are limited by single threaded performance and memory latency. No matter what hardware, LO needs to host districts on their own dedicated physical servers. Cloud based is terrible for latency. They cram tons of virtual machines onto the highest core count, lowest core clock CPUs with the lowest JEDEC spec memory. If they're clustered, your VMs are constantly being moved around to different hosts, adding more latency. I doubt dedicated physical hardware is affordable for LO at this time. Not so much the hardware, but being able to pay someone who knows what they're doing. Cisco and Dell can't even find people who know how to apply thermal paste properly, and not bend the CPU socket pins repeatedly. -
I got 0 rewards for driving my teammates to the objectives. They shot, I drove. I squeezed that little starter car through those kick open fence gates, grabbed the heavy item. I then drove that dinky car through another fence gate onto the docks. Teammate grabbed the item and dropped it. $0, 0 standing, 150 score. Really????
