(paraphrasing) Now, why it is using that memory or why it is consuming so much, is beyond me. What windows OS are you using?

DefaultEngine.ini -> m_bUseDiskCache true m_iMaxDeferredRequests 2 is what they should be. You might have them set to false and 0 respectively. W10 Home, English, 64bit. I don't remember touching those, but that's what they're set to, so I proceeded to change them as you told me, I'll see if it works.

Basically what @Bellenettiel said You can follow these steps to see if it will help If you are not running on a laptop, use "Programs" instead of "Background Service"

Acornie 490 Posted October 1, 2018 I may be wrong but; This only happened to me back when I had an almost filled HDD, if I'm not incorrect RAM uses space on your hard drive, if you're low on space try clearing some room, if you have plenty of space then disregard

Gateron 267 Posted October 1, 2018 Did you know Windows 10 caches your games in your ram and empty's it only when rebooted? So if you start up 10 games and close it you will see there is not much ram left over for you system even though you closed them all.

But then again the RAM usage never goes above 40-50% so I can't tell. Swibby 104 Posted October 2, 2018 (edited) helLo man big hacker back with another tutorial try to mess with ur values in BaseEngine.ini: (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\APB Reloaded\Engine\Config) I'd recommend you to start off with these lines: TimeBetweenPurgingPendingKillObjects=120 GarbageCollectionMemoryCeilingGb=16 TimeBetweenPurgingPendingKillObjects = the time it takes on how long to start cleaning some memory. 60 is default, don't make it to big or it will crash or stutter for 1 long minute. GarbageCollectionMemoryCeilingGb = How much memory APB can use, match this with your system memory. 4GB System ram = 2, 8GB System ram = 4, 16GB System ram = 8, 32GB System ram = 16, Let me know if it solves your issue f thank edit: Also, there's a tutorial on how to turn off cache in my discord. Try that as well. Edited October 2, 2018 by Swibby

Eisena 86 Posted October 4, 2018 How to increase virtual memory in Windows 10: Open up search and type in “This PC“, right click on it and choose “Properties“ Then click on “Advanced System Settings“ On “Advanced” tab where it says “Performance” click on “Settings“ Click “Advanced” tab. At the bottom you will see the “Virtual memory“ option, click on “Change“ Mine is set to 960MB and I never experience any issues.
