jonrioux 0 Posted December 17, 2019 when i update on the launcher it stops at 52% and the download speed reduces from 3mb to 0.00kb/s and stops - what ive done - re-installed the game -restarded steam/ computer - unchecked the v6 protocol -cleared the caches -taken virus protection off -used the advanced apb launcher -repair button is greyed out im not sure if i should wait a while until it kicks in ? lol Merged. update: - I used the Advance launcher - It loaded to 52% then very very very very slowly it still updated without budging from 52% -then error came up -I repaired it by pressing repair - Then it started updating again and an extremely slow speed ( not completed yet ) 20kb/s Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Saeko Busujima 1 Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) I'm also having this issue. The launcher is stuck at 47.12mb remaining and 376.58mb remaining when using steam to open the launcher. Upon relaunching the launcher it idles, then errors. At that point I'm given the option to repair, which just restarts the cycle. Reference: 2019-12-16_22.44.35.123_Launcher_error Steps I've taken to troubleshoot the issue: - Re-installed via steam and the website - Restarted my PC - Unchecked v6 - Turned off antivirus - Used the Advanced Launcher (I did not use this prior to having this issue, it was installed only to see if it would resolve the issue which it obviously did not) - Ran traceroute - Reset my router settings - Re-enabled my firewall and gave APB and the Launcher full permission - Changed the drive in which APB is installed (tried both SSD and HHD) - Ran speed tests - Deleting the LauncherFiles XML Document - Running the Launcher in administrator - Repairing EAC - Refreshing the Launcher with Ctrl F5 - Wired and wireless connections - Running in Windows 7 and Windows 8 Compatibility Mode - Tried bypassing the launcher by launching the game directly via it's program file What I've eliminated: - It is not computer specific. I tried installing APB on my MSI GP63 8RE gaming laptop which has NEVER had APB installed on it. Needless to say it's a completely different setup than my tower, and I am experiencing the same issue on my laptop as well. - It's not a Windows Update issue. Given my laptop does not automatically update and is a few months behind. - I don't need "better internets" - I don't need "a better potato computer" I'm going to assume that this is a server side issue. Seems to only impact players who have their files "re-scanned" when launching the launcher. That being said, I played APB yesterday without issue, only to try to log on today and have had nothing but issues for 12+ hours. I would reinstall Windows 10 but given it not being a PC specific issue, I feel that won't do much good. SirVilla 18 Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) nothing works for me or what has been put on the link, or download it from gamefirs, or steam anything at all, you are doing some maintenance or uploading a patch maybe, this is really amusing me I can't find a solution, well if you leave the apb until they update to 2.1 apb, I mean, or maybe I am making a mistake, maybe the best thing is that I may not install the apb after 9 years with the ....., well I don't know if you can tell me something useful to clean Apb's computer I think I did very well when I completely dismantled windows and make it work all over again as normal, all games are less apb, this is a joke, please fix the game that would cost you little, but it sure is culpa mia, I still have to buy an pc of 4000 eu, to start the apb .. forgive misarcasm, thank you for trying to help, eh acer this game something better! REZJailBait 19 Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) I currently have the same problem as @Nabiki Game refuses to update and because of this i cant access repair. Have not tried reinstalling. Tried what @Clowbber suggested. Still wants to update and crashes, but gives me access to repair. The launcher doesn't seem to be working on first launch, after installation. It's stuck on downloading some files with no progression then errors out because of request timeouts probably.
