As title; I updated a very old version of the game yesterday and all went fine but at the Eac screen a dll error popped up: "Vcruntime140.dll was not found". Today I got help from someone who knows what this even means, and this is fixed by installing the (updated) "VC Runtime files from Microsoft". Those definitely are up there as well and you pin-point their exact problem; they alter the game-play for the worse. In my opinion? No, these modifications you mention do not enhance the game-play in any way, they cripple it, get rid of it. It feels like some brain-storm session team forced themselves into thinking about X amount of modifications to add without ever (really) playing the game. In skilled hands / teams these modifications are mind-blowing additions. The ones you might "fix" from that amazing think-tank session are; tagger, mobility sling and high magnification scope, I'd say. For example, high magnification scope; maybe go for something like plain zoom-mods in different categories (high magnification isn't the worst but it shouldn't be behind rank 195 and the zoom factor is locked to a rate suitable mostly for launchers, great stuff. Yeah I'd remove this one if it was up to me and go back to the drawing board). And completely different new stuff: like, specific arresting / burglar modifications, for example something that would multiple gains for cops and somewhat higher always-witnessable stack possession for criminals so that cops can finally farm solo and as for crims the 'stack solution' G1 added was just a band-aid which made farming on empty servers a really important thing... way to go. This part of the game could use more TLC, modification exploration in my opinion. I'd even go as far as modifications to help new people; free car spawns, more gains ( as in money / exp / jokers modification mods, cumulative with any premium package). I need a fresh coke but first let's see what runner is crying about now.

Remove all of G1's 195 modifications. If you want new modifications: - create something balanced - do not lock them behind HIGH ranks when MM doesn't give a flying monkey about HIGH ranks Even explosives can be unlocked by any noob with some joker tickets, these G1 195 modifications are just balance breaking junk. The game never needed them, it needed the EU. Remote det is the worst of them all. And as for '"new" lower rank modifications; if it was up to me, car spawner would instantly kill you for using it. Was any single one of the G1 modifications good for the game? Why didn't they just focus on the engine upgrade. Fight club was good, could have used new maps... as a side project. Anywayy... that's just me.

Actually it's one of the better ones on this stale forum. Looking at your history you have an issue with anyone calling them out. Probably just coincidence.

I'm not sure how you get a bell curve from me playing a few matches, let alone one, but I think you are over-complicating things. Currently the game already gives you an adjusted 'skill-score' for each match you play. It's true that the current system can be fooled too easily, in several ways, for example; by throwing matches you can go back from gold to silver and from silver to bronze (green is near impossible). And like, you can play above average forever in the silver district and stay silver forever, or play way under average and turn gold in the bronze district. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm sure they could improve this. How about making it more simple than complex: - Everyone starts off as silver, everyone. (Silver 1-15). - Make gold the 'above game average' standard (Gold 1); auto-adjust the skill threshold every week or so to make gold 1-15 represent the top 50% of the active population in skill. - Make gold 10-15 really hard to get, like the top 15%, of the active population, make it your new diamond skill. Also auto-adjust the skill threshold needed every week or so, just like gold. Just 2 districts: silver and gold. Everyone can join every district (less server resources and more active districts). For now the players decide how they fill those. On 3.5 you could even match groups between these two districts. Slightly adjusted matchmaking will take care of balance; Matchmaking; prefer to fill up the teams randomly within each rank (silver-silver, gold-gold, diamond-diamond). If not possible, 2 silvers = 1 gold. 2 gold = 1 diamond.) This is balanced but also still random because of the 1-15 grade system within each rank. It's almost what we have now, but way more smooth. Mods like radar blocking / car detonating / car surfing / radar tower / pfpfpfpfpf g1 / shouldn't be restricted to 195s though, too big of a gap if these people still fight people without those mods. Ridiculous to gate at 195. These mods should be available around level 80 or the matchmaker should look better at group-ups. Imagine having been cheater buddies since like, forever, and still trolling the APB forum about it on 2019. LO could start removing some cheaters, togglers. trigger and what have we. Yes, some will cry about losing their Armas purchases. Yes, some will re-roll. Remove them again. Stop being lazy about cheaters. Could be a start. Especially when new cheats get publicly released, which unfortunately still does happen, for some weird reason.... hey those creators might just be playing here, on no, that must be another conspiracy, right. But seeing that half of the SPCT team likes to troll, attack silvers and be all-round toxic on the cheater subject and this forum, we probably will see cheaters on gm-alts before we see a better effort against the nonsense going on in-game. Which is daunting. The hope fair players and silvers must cling on to for now is a better matchmaking, which we get vague information about... and it's not high profile in the recent update news.
