Go thru the current forum mods. Look which has been locking topics for no reason. Tell me that's not mod20 style.

I remember that time some1 was calling my family and house and ddos'ing me and harassing my RL friends/family in a legit attempt to ruin my life... and then Tiggs personally unbanned them cause...lul whatevs! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No hard feelings, btw. Honestly I'd rather have a mass unbanning wave that might include falsely banned ppl, over Tiggs's personally unbanning the bane of the community on purpose.

To be fair....tiggs personally unbanned more people who had originally been banned for serious harassment issues than Little Orbit's unban wave prolly ever will.

I mean, not all the new mods are bad. Obviously the ones that came straight from LO are great. People are going to make repetitive threads. They always have and always will...they live and die out on their own. However. It is NOT a moderator's place to close/lock threads because "there's been another topic like this in the past" or "I don't think this topic has a point" or "the question OP asked has been answered, so no further discussion is allowed", etc etc etc. None of which are reasons that relate to ToS in any way whatsoever. Yet...are still getting locked.

Entirety of quote, implying that some of the old moderators (themselves included) are still here, still policing and exerting their power abuse, just as they did before. Lol. May I suggest a "Moody Squid" emoji.

Good to know. **** I'd like to start out by saying, we all know how much of a mistake the old ModSquad team was. The way they constantly policed and closed/locked topics that never broke Terms of Service.... They banned people for their opinions, even if it never broke Code of Conduct or ToS. They killed the forums. So now, we are already seeing the same thing with one of the new Moderators who was hired at the end of May...who is closing/locking topics for no reason other than to "clean". I mean, it is painfully clear to me that they re-hired some of the problem-moderators. Not going to name-and-shame, but just scroll through the recently locked topics. It's clear who is needlessly locking topic just to flex their muscle. Lixil promised us they would be supervising the activity of the new moderation team...but the topics being locked would never have been locked by Lixil herself. There are already clear signs of the same mistake in power abuse being given to community members. Please control your moderators and tell them not to be closing and locking topics that do not break ToS or CoC, before their true colors start showing like the thought-police they truly were and still are.

I did try once, but I am bad at anatomy so I didn't feel confident to continue doing it for commissions.

it'll be interesting to see if they can actually pick out the Closets from the skilled players when playing against them...If they can find actual evidence of them cheating, or if they will just have to go along with it because "no proof". They've already stated that they wont ban people based on pure subjectivity, so that'll also be interesting to see. Edit: Lixil, tbh it might just be safer and better if you went "God-Mode" in the district and let everyone just try and kill you instead of actually PLAYING missions...Because I can see it turning into a real grief/cheater fest and something really NOT good. It'd be more fun and less competition-based, which would be healthier for the players. Everyone loved that Elf event, in contrast with people "playing with devs," which people DID NOT like (issues with "favoritism"). you could just do that type of thing.

Well, people HAVE been asking for the return of the Xmas Elf Event......Maybe we can get EpicGoat to wear the elf outfit and viola! Exact same thing. @Lixil if he does show up, please be careful not to ban anyone who is "grouped" with him...because he has the ability to force-join groups and one cannot kick him from their group.

the ZombieBiscuit one is really the closest resemblance to the old APB art. Probably has to do with the outfit choice and colors. @zombiebiscuit glad you finally settled on your own current style though. remember all those outfits you copied before you finally created something orignial of your own? (lol i'm kidding, but really...) you need a new version of incbox's portraits now that your char is so gothy!

you should make sure people include the interface in their screenshots, so you can tell each neko is a different player and not the same person in a different outfit. this is a great event idea btw. very funny.

the waiting list is starting to get a bit backed up... and i'm going to be on vacation next week so... if anyone is thinking about getting a portrait soon....let me know now because the wait is going probably be over a month at this point.

Well that clears it all up for me. Thanks. I think many of us were just worried because the titles are vague. It sounds like the GM title will now ve the equivalent to the old SPCM (san paro city mentors), which was always fine. and the forum Moderators being more closely monitored on their actions against player behavior sounds right. Might be good to add that to the FAQ so people don't keep making "worry threads" about it.

Lixil, can you elaborate on what the duties/roles of mods/GM's will be? Will the GM'S just be the equivalent of the SPCM program? (Where they have no authority, but are simply ingame to mentor new players,) And will forum moderators be allowed to ban/suspend people?

You guys are great. I ran out of upvotes, but I love all the Lixil stuff. She seems like a cool CM.

Honestly I am very worried...they should not have community players have GM/Mod roles...we all saw what happened with the forum's Mod Squad members. It started off okay, but slowly devolved into blind power abuse. Half of the forum goers got banned who had no warning and never even broke TOS.

would be cool if they did something with the 4th of july...like an all explosives fight club event or something.

@Tokley yeah, it was a symbol/ornament contest. everyone who entered got placed into the raffle for all the games and prizes. there was a 2nd portion for "best star\tree". the winner of that got a bunch of g1c. we did the raffle live on x-mas eve. it was neat. it was called "Decorate the Halls" player event on the forums....but i'm sure it's been completely wiped off the record by now. http://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/302914-decorate-the-halls-christmas-event

real funny killerskull. we all know dawnwillow is a girl from myfreegams, who does not play apb. just because they have 'willow' in their name does not mean they are the same person as the player. and YOU should know, since you were in the 'poorly designed kitten' event yourself, that it wasn't a rocket launcher. it was a scout. Edit: @Tokley not sure if this was 2011 or 2012, but we had prolly the best Player-ran Christmas event ever that year where we gave away over 40+ steam games, 5 retail packs, and like a bunch of G1C...i forget how much tho. and we assembled this communal christmas tree with a bunch of symbols made by the community. Hosted it with Rapid99 and Kempington. pretty sure that was teh best the xmas event was ever going to get.

It was actually just a shirt with his character's face on it. Those things are collectors items, I wonder if anyone still has one.... lol remember that symbol Sicopet made of Tiggs's face?...and how he (sicopet) got mistakenly banned cause RoboCop put it on a shirt along with a d*&^ in the mouth. Lol that was a funny shirt.

I had the name "kitty". my account was banned a weeks before the merge. they force-name-changed my banned characters and let someone else take my names. Now that my characters will be unbanned... I am annoyed that they went through the extra personal effort to name-change my banned characters and give them away.
