"We're coming up on nearly 30 days, and I am excited to announce that we will be releasing the first patch for APB in 9 months." Might want to change that wording. Sounds like you won't be updating the game for 9 months. -

Little Orbit APB Revival and Crossplay
speee replied to Giodra's topic in General Discussion Archive
It is an interesting thought, but I can't imagine this happening anytime soon. -
It is an advantage in the right hands. Just like any other tool. If you want something like crosshair dots to be illegal, how will you enforce it? What program will allow LO to enforce someone drawing a dot in the middle of their monitor with a marker? Everyone wants a fair game, we can all agree fairness is great. But a crosshair dot is not a cheat or a hack, it is a tool. If we decided to have a competition to see who could screw in a bolt the quickest. If I bring out a drill, am I cheating or am I being smart. Maybe you should have forseen this and brought your own drill. And if you wanted to set rules, how would you enforce them? In this example it is simple because you can physically see my efforts. If you see me using a drill, you could disqualify me. But in an online game, things are not so simple. No one is stopping you from using a dot on your monitor except yourself. The point is, you should realize that players who use crosshair overlays are not cheating, they are utilizing their tools. They are not injecting programs into the game or modifying the memory of the game in any way. It is functionally equivalent to drawing a dot on the monitor with a marker. And if you chose not to use one, you will have to live with the fact that most other players will not care about what you think about their drawn on crosshair dot.

Do you read through this thread and seriously think LO have not considered their options? I am pretty sure they have given this more thought and consideration than any of us could. I think we need to sit back and let them handle their own business while we wait patiently for them to show progress on the game.

[Poll] RTW's artstyle or G1 Engine 3.5 artstyle?
speee replied to IAmDisappointSon's topic in General Discussion Archive
Both are great but 3.5 wins out for me. It's a plus if it runs better as well. -

Maybe a little increase would be nice.

The APB name has a bad reputation, but I think this can be use to the advantage of the game. Instead of trying to hide the game's past, I think people would respect seeing the new developers own up to this shaky past in an effort to show serious improvement to the game. We don't want another WarZ situation where they rebranded the exact same game in an effort to cash grab consumers. Get rid of the Reloaded tag. "All Points Bulletin" is about as fitting of a name as this game could ever have.

Try to find footage or streams of players who are good at the game; Pay attention to how they play and try to learn from it. Otherwise, it is a matter of time and consistently learning from mistakes. Fight club can help you with aim and awareness, but playing missions will make you a much better player in the long run. A lot of APB is strategy, knowing what to expect, and planning accordingly. This could mean using the proper gun setup for a particular objective location, knowing when to get out of your car, where to position yourself to give yourself an advantage over the enemy, etc... Lots of this will become second nature with time, but only if you pay attention to your game and actively try to get better.

Why are people still playing APB:R? RPS Article Discussion
speee replied to Rumple's topic in General Discussion Archive
I did not even bother reading the article after I saw he was still wearing starter clothing and clearly had not played the game for more than a few hours at best. This is exactly why I do not give those gaming websites an ounce of my time. It is just another article for the sake of putting out another article. No real substance behind it. -
Can vouch for Sadira.

Delayed announcement regarding GMs/Mods
speee replied to Lixil's topic in General Discussion Archive
Thanks for the hard work you and team are putting into this community. It can't be an easy task to tame this beast of a community that has been out in the wild for so long -
Let us hope they are able to make good decisions on who exactly to put into those positions of power.

Almost for sure.
