I don't know if helps but maybe here you can get a better picture of how things are going for Customer Support: Good luck with your stuff, be patient. Regards!

Sorry but I had to vote for the taxes to stay. What we need are incentives for car selling , I barely see anyone selling cars, since these may cost up to $200k, $400k and $1.000.000, so I think there's something that could be reworked around marketplace, probably segmented taxes for the different categories, idk. Now what I'd beg for is a revamp on the UI for marketplace and mail, a way to select multiple items is needed.

Clarification on Fight Club comments
Salvick replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
I mean that I like to imagine a riot in San Paro besides the game mode, or a gang fight like in the pics, something more cinematic I had in my head, lol. But I liked Anarchy districts, these also ended up empty, right? -

Thanks for spoiling this amazing news, I couldn't imagine what that riot mode will be about, but if there's something I've been dreaming of it in this game since ever is of such a thing as a riot in the streets of San Paro, I think the lore screams for it. Also, taken from the trailer: -
Well, you made a good point there, and I agree FC then serves the purpose for mods unlocking by progressing roles way faster, as an Action Districts player I can tell unlocking mods takes longer for my secondary characters than what it did with my main which I used to grind FC a lot in the past. But I still doubt that getting into the chaos of a FC mode would help to get awareness of your surroundings, I think it helps a lot to improve reaction on corners and awareness in the sense camera panning habits to identify enemy spots but it still don't help for team play. A lot of experienced players struggle in missions when they don't have a team and are fighting against coordinated players, even being yourself a max rank gold vs a couple of bronze and silver guys who are recently crossing the learning curve you can easily lose a match because of the good communication and map awareness of the opposite team no matter how many kills you made. Yet I insist, I'm not against FC but interested in every new thing we can try disregarding if it implies removing it.
-
Yeah well, that's right, but it is also stressing and does not provide any progress towards unlocks and such, and neither provides map awareness for tactical playing when it comes to these op spots you have in Waterfront and Financial where a strong team work is required to attempt to win, that's what I mean. Other than gun&run, imo FC neither does contribute to the MMO atmosphere when you have 80 to 100 players playing 2v2 or 4v4 missions but then the only "massive" matches you can get are in FC while it is a chaotic death-match mode, but we all like different things so I'm not against it, I just don't see the purpose other than having fun and learn the guns. Also I think they added Asylum as a sneak peak of a map in progress they never finished if I remember right?
-
+1 Removing FC -1 Adding BattleRoyale modes Also, FC never helped to newcomers to learn anything while also I'm not sure why some of the FC players seems to dislike action districts so much, as a MMO this game can provide a lot of fun doing missions where you get different scenarios that requires adaption and versatility, if I want play death-match mode all day I'd stick to other shooters with actual hitboxes and such indeed...

Sounds great to me, I'd say someone with the vision seems to be aiming to optimize the resources of this game imo.
-
See that dozen of downvotes your thread got? Well, those are the dozen of players funding the game by spending like x10 what you spent indeed. On a serious note, I really wish they can come with a different business strategy, because G1 always been sticking to cattle the whales leading the game to what it is now while free2play games are moving to new strategies where they manage to capitalize a bigger amount of players, considerably increasing revenues while constantly growing their player base, instead of keeping a small amount of loyal players with a huge rotation of newcomers joining and leaving the game every time.
-
Excuse me guys but I wonder if you are sure this is not a district instance crash maybe? When you guys try to reconnect can confirm the same district instance you were playing is still available? If not, then that means that instance is down, I don't know if this is the case though, good luck.
-
Yeah, exactly that's what I was trying to say, thank you. I've heard a couple of players talking that way about Armas stuff.
-
Maybe he thinks that when you buy a product with real money you are actually "donating" to the game? it is normal to hear people talking in Spanish about "donation items" referring to Armas bought items, personally I hate it, yikes.

Absolutelly. But look, when this thing I said happened to me with some guy bypassing the /ignore function to tell me he would get me in trouble for hackusating him, I was totally new in the game with something about a year or almost two playing as much. I'm not really worried about the GMs, but I know some people when is new in a game sometimes they just don't ask and instead they assume things and get in trouble, idk. Adding another comment to the main thread, it was intriguing at first for me to see if any admins were around, lately it was frustrating to barely notice any presence of them, although I would say there were very few times I would like to have an admin to assist with anything, but these were probably minor violations to the code of conduct that we were asked to report via support ticket instead of saving time for the players and resources for the customer support area by attending to any ingame situation when it is happening to contain it. That's why I bring this basically.
-
I mean, I'm okay with colored fonts, despite it indeed is a bit annoying to me but not biggie, so I was wondering the same when you asked him. >_<
-
Trust me, cheaters will, they do everything they can to avoid the admins, because they can by-pass an automatic system but a human spectator is totally different. Specially the closet ones and those of them who lasted long enough, these players really develop an intricate and complex skill to hide their cheats, and I'm pretty sure they could be just super good at the game without cheating if they'd put that huge effort on attempting to master the game instead of cheat. lol Thanks for asking him that.
-
Totally >.< This is something I'm very intrigued to see, I really think of two possible scenarios, of course the first is about how well will a GM refrain from telling his closer friends about it, and the second is a bit more murky where I wonder if GMs could try to boicot another GM by spreading the voice of who they are if they find out, but that would be only if they pick any bad seeds which I really doubt Lixil will. I remember a former SPCT I hackusated and ignored after a rude exchange that then by-passed the ignore function to threaten me, lately he was spotted using triggerbots and even trying to defend the use of it and ofc he got removed from the program and banned. But sadly, because of a very few ones, most of the player base ended up disbelieving of all the SPCT/SPCM, at the same time most of them stopped being communicative and nice with the players which is imo justified since the regular bashing they were exposed to.

Yeah, the suggestion was for the tag they'd wear when they are on-duty / incognito, that's how its gonna work so I was wondering if they'll be using the same GM tag as any GM and for 2-way communication, I beg for that as I said in the main post, totally. I agree, they'll be using the tag on an alternative account anyways, and Lixil said they'll wont be allowed to reveal their private ingame identity, also is true that it is harder to caught a cheater when they are toggling off their cheats because of the admins, but also, since chasing cheaters will not their only function, sometimes the visible presence of an admin in a game makes people behave properly in every aspect. I brought this question because I'm aiming to create more empathy with the upcoming community GMs, we will not know who they are but it could be any player around, and looking at the positive side of this, it means that when we express our concerns and suggestions to the GMs will do it being confident that they'll listen from the perspective of a player instead of having some staff that is indeed disconnected from the game and the community as it used to happen some times. Many of us should remember the times before online gaming became massive, we used to play in private servers where the admins where also players and I think we'll agree players used to be very respectful with the admins and if someone was pushing the limits on every opportunity an admin kindly warned a player we saw how they just behave better. That's why I brought all this. Also, I edited the main post removing the second question of the poll and shortened a bit some text because Lixil already said her GMs will have the same tag once they are promoted and the thread is intended to exchange our thoughts and ideas than suggesting anything.
-
Have you read it? I'd like to know what do you expect from the GMs and any other thoughts you have about it, that's what this is about. I'm open to consider changing the tittle if you suggest something, wasn't trying to do a click bait but trying to make it attractive.
-
Also, from another thread to answer this here since its related with this topic: I agree, indeed I voted they should wear the red tag, but I really think there should be a few considerations when assigning the same tag as the company staff, impersonating company staff on support matters is one of them, and right in the opposite sense a player could confuse actual company staff with regular players idk. That's why I brought it as a suggestion with a poll, because I'm really interested to know what do you and anyone else thinks, and discussing this here on forums opens the debate to a wider diversity of opinions.

We are banning for hacking and cheating
Salvick replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
I agree, let's bring it to the other thread where you also posted? What you think? -
Well, right after posting this thread I saw what you said about Lixil answer where she stated that every GM will have the same tag. This changes some aspects of my thread but I'll leave it as it is and see what other players think about. To answer your question and after seeing this clarification you brought from Lixil in the other thread there's no need to differentiating them since only Lixil and a few staff will have real power to ban a player and they should be very easy to spot, so I'll edit the main post to clarify this.

We are banning for hacking and cheating
Salvick replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
If you ever get a latency value like that and have the chance to put two computers together to play and test you'd get surprised, I really changed the way I used to think by 180° after doing it. Lol, well I wasn't talking about that kind of /whispers, but we can also prevent that if we are experienced enough to detect when a less skilled player is getting stomped and we just kindly whisper them in the middle of the match to assist them or at least to let them laugh a bit with a joke between kills. I mean, usually the angriest players are those that are still struggling to get better but are actually getting bullied by tryhards and pre-made groups of tryhards imo, I started to see these kind of message less often when I started communicating with my opposition in a friendly way when I feel is necessary. And what do you mean about segregating? The current Trial GMs already have a tag like <TGM> and I'm not sure if it is a good idea to mix players with actual company staff at the eyes of everyone else. -
I think a lot of stuff has been said in the recently closed post about the GMs program and I'd like to bring this now: The community GMs will be basically players, regardless their ingame stats and performance they are players like us who wants the better for the game and the other players (I believe so) and the idea of bringing or enforcing more ingame moderation should be a definitive solution for a lot of things that makes many players feel uncomfortable often. Either it is because you don't like cheaters or you don't like to be harassed with hackusations, or be it because of a player de-threating or ruining your mission on purpose or simply because you are lost in a higher threat district than your current threat level so in that case someone could assist you to find a more appropriate district instance or something like that. As many things here are changing, this GMs thing is something that will also evolve (hopefully), and will keep dynamically changing along time to improve, and these players will be around here too, listening and bringing their concerns every day as everyone does, and all of this will be under the direction of Lixil and LO management whose will be always there as they already demonstrated and they are very accessible if you need to reach them. I would like to know, what would you kindly request from a GM regarding ingame moderation and what are your positive expectations or any constructive opinions you may have about this? I hope this thread is welcomed since I also want to take my chance to humbly bring a few things for any Community GM, TGM or GM, based on a few issues I've been facing or have seen others do over the years playing this game: Players behavior ingame, many issues can be avoided with a kind word of warning from a GM. It would be great to be able to poke a GM ingame any time we need, even if we get a reply like that he is actually busy or that he is unable to address a particular concern or something is a million times better than feeling there are no GMs, since we will know someone eventually will take care of these things we can't handle ourselves as players. Oh and events, hope to see some crazy announcements in the ingame broadcast where they'd invite us to move to a specific district to meet with the GMs and have some fun there with them and their tricks. A little wall of text there so sorry for TL:DR ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (And please refrain from off-topic/shit posting, I'd be requesting to clean up the thread if needed, so don't say you didn't read the small print. : P ) EDIT 1: Right after posting this thread I've read in another thread a comment where someone asked Lixil about the red <GM> tag and it seems she stated all the GMs will have the same tag, that also implies that it shouldn't be necessary to have different tags because only Lixil and a few staff members from Little Orbit will have ban powers, and they are easy to spot. I'll still leave the poll open to see what people think about despite we know now how its going to be. EDIT 2: Removed the suggestion for GMs Tags, although I want to clarify the tags would be for GMs on duty and no the players. Shortened the suggestions I made at the end of the post. EDIT 3: I forgot to mention also that it was said by Matt that Tiggs's GMs will remain, which means we weren't lacking of GMs during this transition and experimented GMs are already in the team and perhaps ready to introduce and train the TGMs if needed too.

I believe there are countermeasures that are really easy to implement to avoid this. One of them is what we already had that were the "Trainee" districts, but since a lot of cheaters and also experienced players used to reroll on new accounts everytime, destroying newbies in the Trainee districts all day in their way through higher threat districts, there's the need of another step to stop rerolls from crushing newbies. The most simple solution I'd try is locking new accounts (not new characters) to Trainee districts for an entire hour before they can see the full list of districts, this way you not only get the new players playing safely against each other but also those thinking on breaking the rules will think twice before they get stuck for an entire hour on a Trainee district every time they reroll new accounts, now if you are just creating a new character then it does the inverse and only show you the advanced servers. Also I don't know why it doesn't count the played hours for match-making, I mean, does it? I think it doesn't count your global hours but just character wise or am I wrong with this?

What about this, the provider will not charge the days the server got DDoS for x amount of minutes, so Tiggs is paying $3 dollars x day to a DDoS'er to attack the servers and get the service totally free of charge, all this under strict instructions of Sadam Hussein who is still alive in an island with Michael jackson and lot of dead people who are not dead. >.< But being honest and back on-topic, I agree that maybe trying a different provider wouldn't cause any harm, but I really don't know about this, so.
