  1. That sounds awesome. @MattScott should look into bringing that back.
  2. I'm also an enforcer main, but I've capped out multiple crims over the years as well. On the surface level, there's a ton of things that seem like favoritism for the criminal faction. However, if you take the time to examine these things, in most cases that's only a coincidence caused by one or more of the myriad of bugs in this game. It's always been an amusement of mine to claim the devs favor the criminal faction, using these issues as a basis to support the claim. It's provably false, of course.
  3. Everyone has the RFP because everyone was given the Fang and Talon for free (two week lease on both, but via the ingame mail which means the timer doesn't start until they take the attachment). You'd be insane to think that people won't mess around with the shiny new toy they got while they have it.
  4. Many missions are bugged though, don't mistake that. The most egregious example of this is the mission with three spray points. If enforcers have a point lead, they need to hold at least 2 of the 3 spray objectives to win when the timer runs out. If enforcers are behind on points, they need to hold all three spray objectives for overtime to start, and instantly lose if a criminal takes one. This is just one of a few examples of missions that have been broken for many years, which was made more obvious with the introduction of overtime. Let's not even start getting into how overtime can't even function properly on the item-based missions, since it doesn't even track the items themselves.
  5. There's basically nobody that purchases their phones upfront/outright, 99.99% of people are taking the lease contracts that every phone provider offers. They do this because they see "Only $60 a month for 12 months!" or whatever and think it's an awesome deal where they get their phone for basically nothing. To which anyone with a functioning brain cell in their head simply runs the math and realizes you're paying significantly more over the total lease contract than the original price was. Then on top of that, you don't actually own the phone once the lease is up, they'll make you an offer to either continue paying monthly (at an increased price as well), or pay a lump sum of $200-$300 to then finally own the phone. Bearing in mind, that you've already paid more than the original purchase price by this point in the first place. So yes, people will balk at that price point on these cases. Also there's simply the fact that you can get significantly higher quality cases for less, elsewhere.
  6. Welcome to Razer, the Apple of the PC market. Why charge something reasonable when you can instead push brand recognition to charge 10x the price while also using inferior parts?
  7. Which is why it was applauded when @MattScott originally stated the game wouldn't be marketed prior to the engine upgrade. The game's current state will do nothing but drive any new players away, and since they don't have the history with the game that we veterans do, they'll likely never return. Will likely also tell all their friends to stay away as well. Really just an all-around bad move to do this Razer phone skin promotion at this time.
  8. It always amuses me that these are called "cases" when they don't encase the phone. They're skins, nothing more. You want a case? Here's a proper case:
  9. You ever think that maybe you're causing your own problems? I mean that in a generalized "you" to everyone who also has similarly modern rigs but somehow gets such horrid performance from the game. If my hybrid monstrosity of a rig can pull consistently stable 60 FPS with parts both old and new (and all mid-range at best), there's really no reason you should be having problems. Hell, I remember years ago prior to my partial system upgrades... I used to use a config that removed the game's inbuilt FPS cap and would regularly run around with 200+ FPS (except when smoke particles would appear, at which point I'd tank to shit because my old GPU couldn't handle that particular type of rendering).
  10. Considering that's literally the entire point of Kevlar, I'd feel just fine. That player is giving up all mobility (the strongest stat in this game, bar none) for that extra durability (and in Kevlar's current state, that extra durability is almost non-existent against most weapons).
  11. I keep seeing people mention that the HVR has recieved a nerf, yet checking the data it still deals 850 damage up to 90m and is thus unchanged. https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_SniperRifle_HVR762 Maybe someday it'll get nerfed, but that day has not come and there's no signs that it ever will.
  12. So... Unreal Engine 4 upgrade is shelved. Also, APB franchise no longer has any hope for a future, and will die with this game. Chinese trash mobile games and PC knockoffs aren't APB, just saying. How is this supposed to be good for us again?
  13. Basically every car in the game flips way, way too easily. Not to mention the weightless "dance" most cars do when landing after taking a ramp (which also usually results in flipping, for obvious reasons). Really my only complaints, overall the vehicle play in this game is sublime. Also, the recent suggestions by newer players that vehicles should be transitioned client-side would be terrible. Don't do this. The server-side nature of vehicles is what gives them their unique and incredibly satisfying feeling.
  14. It would actually be smoother/better to reduce it further to 30v30, to force a split between two district instances. Although to be fair, this would of course work significantly better after phasing is implemented since then it could pull from both instances making it a 60v60 total pool.
  15. That would be a safe assumption, since that tech is already in place and serves this purpose.
  16. There is no plan. The GMs have no power to do anything under Little Orbit, and they never will. @MattScott specifically intended this, to avoid power abuse like GMs under Gamersfirst/Reloaded did. Course, this also means we have zero ingame moderation, and all the problems that go along with that.
  17. Is the ARMAS portion of that coming soon? Or will it be coming after the engine upgrade, like the contacts?
  18. Remove it. It's objectively broken in its current state (Criminal faction is bugged, even), and fixing it won't ever happen because what's needed to fix it would never be accepted by the playerbase.
  19. That's wild. It even sounds better in that game, more weight to it...
  20. I do as well, it's one of the better reports in the game currently. Not the best though. I was just pointing out that from what I've been understanding, it was the origin of the meme as it was the actual literal case.
  21. It would be nice to get a bit more elaboration on what exactly is happening, the current description is moderately vague. How exactly would this affect someone such as myself, who is on the West coast of US? Should I expect a substantial latency increase like I had back when I played on Joker? Or will I still maintain the sub-20ms I get to Jericho? Are there going to be actual safeguards in place so we don't lose a bunch of our stuff like every previous server merge has resulted in, or should I start cataloguing all of my inventory to slam the support desk with a fat ticket afterwards? I could go on...
  22. This really just makes me want the Talon sans silencer even more...
  23. The vanilla NTEC, and the NTEC Stock variant as well. The Mountie series is the example I always go for for that, since it's the most egregious example in the game.
