  1. @LO_Beastie any chance I can get my hands on the pellet damage that you've used in your graphs? I kinda just eyeballed it in the ones I made so they might be very inaccurate.
  2. To throw in a bit more in regards to the shotguns to make them get in line with other CQC weapons. I threw a few ideas around with @Kewlin and we figured that lowering the "consistency" of the shotgun would prevent it from being overly strong in CQC. I whipped this up using your graph to get a rough line and numbers, then did a bit of tweaking. AGAIN. Take this with a grain of salt. If you were to to combine the dropoff range of the shotgun with a more straight line, you should be able to make shotgun hit a sweet spot where it would be consistent enough while not being able to snipe people at 30 meters. So I would maybe add 3 meters to the previous graph, making the shotgun 2-shot able up to 13 meters. This would also make IR3 relevant on shotguns if you long for that bit of extra range, making it 20 meters instead. The dropoff range might have to be quite aggressive though. Seeing as you would still be able to 2-shot past the 13 meter mark since you're doing 651 damage. At 15 meters you most likely still do 500+ damage, meaning it's still a 2-shot if enough pellets hit on that range. Here is the dropoff changes that seem to make the most sense combined with the curve system. The current curve makes it too forgiving even if you miss a lot or shoot people on range where half the pellets don't hit the target. The reason I am posting here @LO_Beastie is because this is not aimed at either the A or B variant, but the overall shotgun change. Another curve that's a little more forgiving but still less than the current
  3. Just tested the CSG just for the sake of it.. And I feel like the biggest issue now is the distance. Right now you can 2 shot up to 18 meter! 18! METERS! With a shotgun... Oof. And I believe we managed to 3 shot up to 25-30 meters. Problem is that you have to find a place where it can be in the same spot as the OCA but not be A LOT better. OCA has a TTK of 0.64 while the CSG is 0.68 if you get the PERFECT fire rate. But the OCA can't corner pop like the CSG can, so in a one on one battle the CSG is most likely to win because you expose yourself less compared to the OCA. If that is the case, the TTK will go up quite a bit for the OCA. It's hard to make up something that is realistic, but I did make a graph to show some possible changes to the CSG dropoff that would keep it in it's own place. e.g. super CQC. This would make the CSG VERY dangerous in CQC, even against the OCA. But at distances past the 10 meter mark the OCA will slowly gain the upper hand. As it should be? I am in no shape or form a master when it comes to balancing. I would personally to it over multiple revision to find the sweet spot. So take this with a grain of salt. A shotgun is hard to balance, especially in a 3rd person game where you would usually have the upper hand against pushing enemies. If you have any better suggestion @ me.
  4. @LO_Beastie does the shotgun changes apply to ALL shotguns? Shredder, Ogre, nfas, ETC? I am a big fan of the Shredder. But it's hard to use cause of the same issues that the CSG/JG have.
  5. That looks more like packet manipulation or RAM/CPU OC'ing on the fly.
  6. Come on man I just finished my PTSD therapy Know what's even scarier? Bronze HVR's!
  7. There is a reason why this community is scared of silver HVR's.
  8. No you won't get banned for using scroll wheel to shoot. People just get salty. You're fine.
  9. That's why we have https://apbvault.net with somewhat up to date stats.
  10. Seems fair enough. If you can't then no hard feelings. I am just having a hard time with some of the guns and don't notice much of a change. That's why I wouldn't mind seeing how major the changes actually are.
  11. Is there any chance you can share something like the above with the other weapon changes? Or is that just something you created to show us? I, for one, would rather have raw stats for the changes than just getting told that it was slightly tweaked or lowered/upped, etc.
  12. That sounds like a good way to move forward. Does this apply to the other weapons as well? I guess you're just waiting for feedback and then change the weapons accordingly?
  13. 1. Locate your Live APB folder. (Usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\) 2. Make a copy of the entire thing a rename the folder to "APB Reloaded - OTW" (Or w.e. you feel like calling it.) 3.1. Navigate to the "Launcher" folder and download the OTW "environment.config" here: http://apb.zone/Misc/environment.config 3.2. If you don't want to download the file you can right click and edit "environment.config" and replace the code with the following <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Launcher> <EnvironmentSettings PatchURL="http://apb.patch.ot.gamersfirst.com" NotesURL="http://apb.notes.ot.gamersfirst.com" CrashReportURL="http://apb.crashreport.ot.gamersfirst.com" CrashReportReporter="Launcher" LogReportEnabled="False" LogReportURL="http://apb.crashreport.ot.gamersfirst.com" LogReportReporter="Launcher" RegionSelectionEnabled="False" /> </Launcher> 4. Replace the "environment.config" with the above file or replace the code with the above code and save. 5. Run the "APBLauncher, exe" and it will now update and change to OTW.
  14. Actually, I have oneframethreadlag turned off on live cuz it affects my mouse movement, but I don't observe any problems with it on OTW OTW run at 146 fps vs the 122 on live. That could be the reason? Also less people overall on OTW could play a role in that too.
  15. I believe people have different experiences with this.. Some people say it helps with stutters* while others say it does nothing or makes it worse.
  16. Difference between using all weps and tryharding away with ONLY meta weps as if it was live server still. Some people get off to that stuff.. /shrug
  17. Well shit, did we even need a test district to know these guns are still bad? No. Just from reading the notes you could see they would STILL be bad.
  18. more specifically pretty sure it's a toggle for OneFrameThreadLag=True/False @Androvald might be able to confirm that
  19. I only want to test shit weapons against other shit weapons.. This way I know that one shit weapon is better than another shit weapon! But I don't want to test how it holds up against meta weapons! That would be silly.
  20. lol.. I am sure this one is going to get your point across.. 10/10
