I'm going to ignore the talk about the other mods, because this thread is about IR3 specifically. I disagree that the downsides are minimal. Being able to CQC spray-down is one of the strengths of having an NTEC, and reducing that effectiveness cuts into the versatility of the weapon for some extra range. Now, with that being said. This thread is saying that there is absolutely no downside to IR3 because it's broken and doesn't work properly. I was originally saying that, no it's not broken. I already felt like I was taking a lot of extra time to prove you wrong. Could you at least acknowledge that this mod isn't broken?

Alright bud. This is kinda shoddy, but I think it's apparent enough the crosshair is bigger. Just for the record, the modifier essentially raises the cap on the max possible bloom. This image is WITH IR3. This image is WITHOUT IR3.

What are you even talking about? There is a downside on IR3 and it works on the N-TEC.

Yeah of course he's frustrated. But, it's not really appropriate to take your frustrations out on public forums under the guise of a weapon imbalance. And no, I'm not trolling. Russians low yield spamming and quickswitching is a thing. Obviously the vodka is a joke (kinda I guess).

There's Russians running around throwing 3 low yields at a time, quickswitching as if it was the only way to kill a player, spraying vodka in my eyes and you're complaining about a balanced weapon. Settle down, okay?

We really don't need people calling ideas "trash." That being said, this game does not need more gimmicks. It needs refinement, and more content in general.

The NTEC has already been nerfed quite a bit over the years. It use to be deadly at 90 meters (minimum damage was MUCH higher than it is now), and HB2 would keep it at a 6 STK while allowing you to full-auto TTK up to like 40 meters or something crazy. Both of those are no longer possible, because people called out the very specific problems with the weapon. @OP, if you think the NTEC is still overpowered, why don't you tell use exactly what is wrong with the stats on the weapon? Again, I'm talking specifics. Spamming threads and crying like a child throwing a tantrum doesn't accomplish anything.

Ideally the NTEC is used behind cover. If I'm not behind cover, I have my pistol out. If OpFor is too far away for my pistol, and I'm in the open (bad positioning and should not happen often), I'll just sprint for cover or crouch with NTEC and take the duel. 3PS3 offers a lot more flexibility in CQC-oriented situations. If I'm pushing a corner, I could be counter-poking and circle-strafing with my FBW in one moment, then jump-leaning around the corner with the NTEC in the next.

The DMR-AV is a direct upgrade to the SD, and even then it's incredibly niche. The OBIR is a better support weapon overall.

The cheater was stream sniping Shroud and killed him in the first game. The subsequent games the cheater decided to be more or less friendly, and Shroud took advantage of it.

I remember watching this live. It wasn't a hacker, it was a weed wizard of some sorts.

Strange that people think partial shotgun hits are due to lack of skill. The JG in particular is in such a bad spot, I would say this change to shotguns is warranted.

Nothing really to say about this one. I was bored and had some footage. I'm not happy with the way this one turned out, but oh well. Really hoping this game picks up, wouldn't mind making other types of videos.

I understand where you're coming from. But a lot of us feel that a lot of these things are imbalanced and unfair, so much so that it makes for a stale meta. It's too bad I never recorded some of the old in-house 4v4 clan matches we use to do with these rulesets. Some of the most fun and intense gameplay I've ever been a part of.

I didn't realize you were an advocate of competitive APB. This is a fairly standard ruleset. Everyone I've come across that actually wanted to play this game in a competitive environment agreed several bans on weapons/equipment were necessary. This is probably the best advice in this thread so far, SKay.

Definitely not the worst. My socially awkward a** would've been the worst. I'd say Kemp did a pretty good job on the interview.
