  1. ddos feels like this one MIGHT be getting under control cheating as of this moment, it is horrible. if you don't play daily then you have no idea how bad it is easy anti-cheat CAN rip out a lot of this IF... IF... it is enabled to do so there is no way any decent anti-cheat could be policy enforcing with this level of cheating oddly enough... feel good about that, because sooner or later, there will be a ban wave dumb game balance certainly that stuff can improve, and should as the population gets under control these threads are all so much alike. frustrated, fed up players who do not feel fair game play. and justly so... all i can say is hang in there and let's see what happens in the near short term.

  4. i understand the spirit of what is being said. yes, it would be great to have a larger player base. and, it is frustrating to not be able to have the same load outs across accounts on servers. i play on jericho and citadel a lot. it is expensive to "dual equip". i always buy account-bound items and not character for this reason when possible. i started on jericho but added my citadel character a year ago because of the dwindling population. but i love the game and don't mind doing so. i think at this time if LO decided to do something like this, jericho might get really sparse. and i don't think you want a single "Europe only" option coming about... especially for us 'merica folks. if you want to know what citadel is like performance wise, just add 100 ms to your current ping time and you'll get the 'citadel experience'

  6. when the cheating is super blatant like this, there needs to be a "safety break" to, at the very least, kick the player for suspicious activity. leaving these people in-game is bad business for everyone. and sadly these folks will be doing this as long as they feel like doing it. if you must have a human eye confirm it, then at least alert an active GM so they can pop in, confirm and then commit the kick. not a ban. just a kick to get them out of the game.
  7. i think this is one of those "things" that get you into at least trying out premium for a month. is that bad? or tricky? maybe... but you have to remember, with the game being free-to-play there just has to be stuff like this to make income. and it does seem pretty reasonable to allow you to customize with limitations in clothing and autos unless you opt to upgrade. you get the taste for what is possible and if you want something more, you can do it for a price. remember, you can pop premium on for a month... do all your edits you want and then let it go away. you can't edit what you did once it expires, but you can at least make the mods you wanted. and, in the meantime you can gain some serious "points" all the way around if you play while being a premium member.
  8. lol.... i know... i know... thankfully it was only "seven fitty" ($7.50 for those who can't figure that out) so here's why i did it... during my "spend-o-matic summer sale stupidity splurge", i racked up some gold rewards. and one was (of all things), a Colby RSA Hunter 15 day trial. i took it with me to asylum. i paired it with my SMG. and, i got into a situation where it did something very, very well. it's NOT a killin' machine as many have stated. however, it is a rather good "disrupter". i was able to get amazingly far away and use it like a sniper, not so much for kills (which i did get a few with it), but to provide 'hits' on players. and with it, i was able to influence an entire outcome of the match. i could strike players, causing them to suspend their direction and move to cover. from my vantage point, i could watch as my team mates would then move in and finish the job. the final match score will never reflect my work, but it was so much fun to use it and "steer" a match. i would have certainly been better off with a sniper, but... having something like this as a secondary when you are in close combat with an SMG is rather awesome. using it in a solo fighting situation i almost felt like it would get me killed. the scope is so view limiting and zoomed that at closer range target acquisition can be a serious issue. but on the plus side, i heard Van Halen wants to borrow it as a stage prop for the next tour (once Poison returns it). ahhhh that 80's paint job! all for just "seven fitty"
  9. i agree the player base is very, very low. and in a game like this one, that really shows. however :0 the game is old and not "shiny fresh" on the front page of steam. nor has it been there for a long time. and, it won't be there until LO gets a few more things done. if they can pull it together, bringing people back into the game isn't a monumental task. but, it all has to be in order before any promotion is done. so yes, it sorta sucks right now. low population. some unfair game play. devs learning this monster code base, etc... and us??? well, we are hanging in there. we are all along for the bumpy ride as san paro gets new paved roads
  10. i just want to add... that hopefully things will correct here shortly. it just seems SO goofed at the moment it's hard to not freak out. especially after spending another pile of mooola on this game... Merged. @Glaciers, feels like lag switching when i see stuff like that. i wouldn't rule out the server just not getting the hits, but when it's the same person(s) over and over and over, you have to find some applicable reason for it happening. you know what i mean? and btw, the server performance has been really good for me on citadel. i was pretty impressed with the functional stuff in the game.
  11. i hate talking about this... but i can't even compete in fight club on citadel today. nothing but open cheats. this oddball movement thing where the enemy moves in circles at high speed right in front of you and you can't kill them? regardless of my weapons i just can't kill them. LMG at point blank. nope. sniper at long range. nope. i even hit a guy with a grenade while switching to my NTek and fillin' em with bullets. they stood still and then shot me with a sniper jump-shot. awesome this is so horribly spun out of control. how in the world did it get this bad?

    not sure if you are using advanced launcher? try the game totally stock and use only in-game settings and see if that helps?
  14. i hope others can find this thread. you guys have posted some awesome info here. and from using the weapons for a day now (in fight club only) i think they very accurately depict the weapons in-field performance. in summary: you fire and fire and fire (hide for a bit) and fire and fire and fire... all at close range and THEN hopefully they die

  16. i like it. comments about adding more 'physics' is spot on. i generally like it when people do use it because i can shoot them off the car 'easy pickins' style. you are literally standing unprotected on top of a car lol. this is sorta crazy... but amazingly, i have never used it!!! seems my joker tickets are always spent faster than i can make them. crazy eh? i promise to try it though
  17. most of us have used this gun in various unique game modes or challenges. every time i get the gun in one of those modes i'm always like "I HATE THIS THING". but, you know... i think a lot of that is coming from the fact the game play going on isn't conventional. it's people running around with the same gun or in a very "non-APB" way. 20 people in a circle with as high scope weapon is a tad rough i am considering adding this gun during this summer sale. i like the idea of a hard hitting, high scope 2nd weapon especially using the SMG (especially especially using the norsemen series). what do you guys think of the gun? good, or should it just be used as a prop an 80's movie
  18. the thing i like about that mode is the ability to hop into a match, play for a bit and then move along. if you don't have much time or you just don't feel 'up' to an enforcers vs crims match, i think this game mode gives you some fun APB'ing. working in more driving would be cool, but... i think at times the maps could be too big as-is. making them larger to accommodate driving would likely hurt gun play. you also encounter a whole new player base. there are people who only play that mode. if you play APB but have never done fight club, you really should do it. if you don't wanna go it alone, send me an invite an i'll run a few rounds with you (gordoIsMyName).
  19. horse mounts for enforcers... i really love the idea. they could likely go places cars can't. so many interesting things you could do there. i also like the idea of police dogs. for crims, i'm not sure what exclusive they could have to offset the enforcer's 'weapons'. something equally interesting and provides a new way to experience the same existing content of san paro.
  20. i think accusing someone of cheating is pretty serious. you really, really need to spend some time battling against someone before you can say whether that suspicion should be taken to the next level; making the accusation. if you had a platform for people to openly post things like this publicly it would certainly be a mess. you just can't do it. it has to be handled in another manor.
  21. rofl... i agree with everything posted about these guns so far. i was hesitant to say anything about their initial accuracy as i thought it could just be me. and i do like to try to get unpopular items into my game as they sometimes provide a strange, unexpected benefit. i must say though, i do get a lot of time to admire the weapon as i wait to respawn
  22. my take.... i do like the variety of the weapons you get in the pack. there is one with a mod that the longer you shoot, the less recoil there is. at like 2 seconds into the shooting, the gun is like a laser. pretty cool. i think it feels fair as you have likely given up your position by that point and hanging in there shooting might get you killed. the unique skins are nice. effective range seemed a tad short. seems to have a very hard fall off. so much so it makes the weapon feel pretty useless at anything over moderate close range. but, at closer range the rate of fire does make this a fun weapon to use.
  23. this is indeed interesting... "with great power comes great responsibility" i agree that giving the ban hammer out to "players policing players" is a questionable solution. neutrality would be a really tough thing to keep in check. feels like the community has a view of GM's as powerless, meaningless beings. that has also been my experience in dealing with them in the past. another layer of hoops to jump through for help that do not provide any real actionable response. i may be a tad out of step with things, but without some form of 'teeth', why is LO investing time even using them?
  24. racing would really be cool. feels like a lot of the stuff is already in-game to make it happen?
  25. through the 'magic' of 50% off, i am considering Valhalla's Chosen pack. i've had it in and out of my cart like 50x over the past year. what do you guys think of the guns? i have a serious attraction to the way they look and sound... which i stupid i know
