  1. Isn't that what he said? They would add the AL features to 3.5?
  2. I believe BE bans if 3rd party software reads packets/decrypt or the like. Not sure exactly what caused the ban. This was a huge issue in PUBG since people could read the packets and make a radar that wasn't possible to detect. though I doubt dropping packets would do this, since APB has a tendency to drop quite a few at times.
  3. ==29/05/2018== Minor fixes. Still finding more stuff to change in random places.
  4. Seeing as PUBG use BE and UE, and you can make changes to the config just fine, I really doubt it'll be any different when it comes to APB.
  5. Instead of telling them what not to do, how about you help them and point out where to go and what to look for? Not every person can work a PC like you, seeing as you've been a tech for Time Warner and all. :^) Stop being paranoid.. The tools provided do not spy on you unless you use some cheap Chinese VPN. Seeing as how NordVPN is one of the top rated ones, I am sure he's in the clear. https://thatoneprivacysite.net/
  6. Using a VPN is fine. Using the tools a VPN provides should be fine too. They do not make any changes to the game, so there is no reason for BE to do anything. If anything, you should be able to just punch in the actual VPN info instead of using their tools, and then you're even more in the clear. Your provider should have this info somewhere on their site. You can check that here: https://nordvpn.com/tutorials/windows-10/pptp/ Or the full list here: https://nordvpn.com/tutorials/windows-10/
  7. Not my clip. And we're talking desync here. The guy is way behind cover, and this is a normal occurrence. I can show you more if you really want me to.
  8. Sorry what? Are we playing the same PUBG here?
  9. Most common reasons: Entertainment: Sometimes hackers just get a kick out of it. Lizard Squad is a popular hacking group. They took down Xbox and Playstaton networks one christmas because they found it funny that all the kids that got new gaming consoles for Christmas couldn't download required updates to play their new consoles. Leverage/Ransom: A hacker/group may DDoS a company or service until that company pays some ransom (money, bitcoins, etc). This is frequently seen in Healthcare where private patient information is at stake and can completely destroy a hospitals reputation and trust with its patients. Market Competition: A hacker/group may DDoS a competitor in hopes users will switch to their service. As a made up example, a hacking group may DDoS Walmarts online shopping site in hopes users will go to Amazon instead. Gaming: A hacker may DDoS another gamer to make them unable to compete/play, thus granting them victory via absence of competition. Sabotage: A DDoS attack can result in loss of revenue for a company or drastic cost increases for better security and network capacity. Personal: Sometimes it is simply just a grudge against someone or another company. Making their life a hell for awhile brings the attacker joy.
  10. "Take this post with a grain of salt. I don't know every single detail in regards to GDPR, so this is more a "that could be cool" kinda post." I do not expect them to actually do this.
  11. I guess my disclaimer at the top in OP was fine then. And my edit in the above post.
  12. Then why would valve go through the trouble of showing all the data that they have collected on you? I am pretty sure it's in regards to what data is being stored and used, game data or personal info, the data is related to you in one way or another. GDPR is in no shape or form easy to understand, so I could be wrong. At the same time, Valve could just be covering their patootie in regards to this, so they're just showing all the info they have on you. It's hard to say.
  13. Match data is private info. So it's not much different to the fact that people already take screenshots of the scoreboard, so the people who care about such things most likely have it all saved already. People can stroke their e-peen all they want if you ask me, I just wouldn't mind actually being able to see some of my past matches and data.
  14. Well, I like to stroke my e-peen! So I would be a bit upset if I lost my stuff. :^)
  15. It seems to be 50/50. You could ask @Lixil, she might be able to sort you out.
  16. Take this post with a grain of salt. I don't know every single detail in regards to GDPR, so this is more a "that could be cool" kinda post. Seeing as GDPR is the big thing right now and you've mentioned you're working on being GDPR compliant. Will we be able to browse our match history and more? I am guessing you store some kind of game/match related data on each person playing the game to make support easier. Valve has enabled this for all their titles. (e.g. CSGO - https://steamcommunity.com/my/gcpd/730/?tab=matchhistorycompetitive)
  17. It does more than annoy. People can't play the game, and it'll cost the company money.
  18. Of course having better hardware will improve such things. But that still doesn't matter if they are being hammered all the time. For what APB is, the tickrate isn't even that bad.
  19. The fact that Matt is aware how terrible this community is already, I am pretty sure they have all that stuff covered.
