Heavy Barrel makes sense on the COBR-A since it's more accurate firing those first 7 shots than firing the 6. The 'Frenzy' doesn't seem to benefit the accuracy enough to justify the ttk loss. If I'm often shooting over 50M, I rather have Long Range Rifling. Less effect on TTK up close than HB2, and more range than IR3, without the max bloom downside.

It was nerfed, then people stopped using. The jump accuracy penalty and max bloom multipliers were increased. Now it's similar to the way it used to be, Current: From APBDB:

They've buffed so many secondaries the last few weeks. I'd say leave it as is, maybe even buff the range by increasing the minimum damage range from 45M to 50M. Not a huge change, but enough to make it feel worth using over the FBW in some scenarios.

1. That sounds like a bug. Random mission rewards have been messed up since the Joker ticket bonus was added. Try pledging to a different contact. Maybe it will temporarily fix it. 2. This is most likely a limitation of the character encoding and fonts used. I don't know which encoding APB uses.

Dark, have you even played this game in the last 10 years? Threat hasn't been determined by wins for a long time. It goes by score. There's a bonus for winning, but it's barely enough to affect threat. Same with the team lead kicking you talk about in this thread. That hasn't been a thing for a while. You need a demerit to get kicked, long before we had the option to vote for team leader. If you get kicked, it means you team killed, suicide multiple times, or went afk. There's a few people who will try to get you to team kill so they can kick you, but usually they end up team killing first and throwing the mission for themselves.

Are you suggesting we remove weapons that are less affected by server lag? The better thing to do is buff weapons so they're all less effected by server lag. I'd start with getting rid of the exponential bloom curve, and switch it linear, that way there's less variance between the client's visual bloom and the server's bloom when there's lag.

The DMR should have never had damage ramp-up. Doing a flat 400 damage from 0-100M would have been fine.

TF2 is a terrible example. It's flooded with bots. Technically, LO do issue HWID and IP bans. The way they get a unique ID is useless for ban purposes, it only screws over legit players. IP bans don't work, because it's too easy to get a new IP address. Trade lock uses HWID and IP addresses. So far, I have been trade locked when the following occurred: - Swap RAM. - Add or remove internal storage. - Add or remove external USB storage. - Windows Update. - Receive a new public IP address from my ISP. None of those things should trigger a trade ban on their own, but they do. There's still enough information to identify you, but LO can't seem to do that. Most home users can get a new IP by restarting their router, or worst case, play with a VPN. Due to the poor service the APB servers rely on, a VPN is often needed to get the best routing to the servers. If you ban a VPN IP address, you've just banned everyone who uses that service and happens to get that shared IP. Same with people who share internet service through their school, landlord, or other type of multifamily housing. What if you get a banned IP address out of pure luck? It's happened to me on community hosted servers with their own private IP ban list.

It's not the weapon, it's LO's fault for going with a garbage tier service provider for their servers. By the time you see the other player shooting, they've put half a mag into you.

Troll power? The starter car will be the most expensive vehicle to spawn. That thing fits everywhere.

Can't we disable factions temporarily?
BlatMan replied to RealSlimShady's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Maybe these suggestions are sarcasm, but that would make bronze players even less skilled. They'd get used to being able to see other players. Then they hit silver, and now they're visible on radar and can't see where others are at. Besides, players often don't show up on radar if they don't hit their opponent, which is a common occurrence for bronze players. -
I haven't tried the FBW, but I noticed the RFP-9 seemed to have a higher Burst Interval, or delay between bursts. I had to time it like the OBIR. It's suppose to be faster. Not this patch, but something within the last week or two is causing my game to stutter after an hour or so.

Only if I can stick them to teammates too.

I can't download the game.
BlatMan replied to nonameloser's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
If you have a Steam account you can try downloading it there. If you don't have your Steam account linked to G1 account, launch the game using the launcher, or the APB.exe instead of clicking play in Steam. -
San Paro feels Emptier than Normal...
BlatMan replied to a Pair of Socks's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
I joined a low populated district and noticed the same thing. This isn't the normal pedestrian pile ups. It's like they're not despawning. -
I don't like the UL-3 change. Balance wise it's fine, it just doesn't feel right. The weapon feels too smooth. It needs that slight camera jerking action. Maybe I'm just too used to spraying 7.62 ARs in PUBG with a 6x.

I'm going to miss climbing walls with my Bishada. It's nerf 1 weapon, or buff many weapons. No matter what someone's going to be mad.

I'm with Cookie on this one. I rather have people who don't want to play exit the game. I get accused of cheating when I run people over with a car. People call cheats way too easily.

Unopposed missions are no longer created, and there needs to be an equal amount of players ready per side to start a match. They also dropped the district population from 50/50 to 40/40.

Quick Question Regarding RAZER Synapse
BlatMan replied to NoRAGE's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Technically, yes. Realistically, no. SARD anti-cheat does not do anything at the moment. Little Orbit don't manually ban players who use aimbots on Twitch and Youtube. I doubt they're going to care if you use a macro feature in your mouse's software. -
The servers were unstable back then. It was originally the hardware. Reloaded tried hosting their own physical servers, called Overkill, using desktop hardware and overclocking it. I remember the overkill servers crashing all the time. Later on the DDoS attacks would take out districts. Reloaded would turn off DDoS protection after maintenance, the servers would go offline, then the DDoS was turned back on. Hit registration was near perfect without the DDoS protection, excluding the high ping lag compensation. When the DDoS protect was on, hit registration was like the way it is currently, broken. Character slots were given out when a region would go offline for an extended period, so players could play in other regions temporarily. I received at least 6 character slots. I don't know who Reloaded was using for DDoS protection. Little Orbit was using Path Network Inc, Path.net.
-
I don't think it's a server spec issue. The tickrate isn't 100% stable, but it's stable enough. It acts the same as when Reloaded would enable the DDoS protection after the servers were attacked. I'm leaning towards their anti-ddos protection not having enough bandwidth, or the service isn't prioritizing APB's traffic properly. I doubt they changed their infrastructure much.

Weapon mods change the weapon stats. Cheats don't. You need to explain in more detail because I have no idea what you're referring to.
-
Explain how a cheat can make the .45 better without also making every other secondary better.

I'm not talking about escalation, I'm talking about the one sided backup when the team threats are unbalanced. It calls in backup for both teams. It's broken.
