We have gotten reports from a few players that Battleye can be picked up by their firewall/antivirus solutions. If this is the case and it is preventing you from playing APB, whitelisting Battleye has been known to solve the issue. You can also check out this thread for common fixes.

Engineering has been notified. If others are experiencing this same problem, please let us know here.

Older designs are fine, so long as they have not previously won one of our contests. For your specific case, I would suggest getting your friend's permission before submitting something you worked on together.

There are no limitations on your design. You are free to pull out all the stops, but we are looking for designs that can wow Matt, regardless of the technique.

Joker Store renovations began this week, and the observant among you may have noticed that Joker Corp has begun hiring already. Anne Partridge is hanging around the shop to begin her training. But she won’t be alone for long! Joker Corp is looking for 10 new salespeople from the streets of San Paro. That’s where you guys come in. Joker Corp only wants the most interesting employees representing them on the sales floor, so we are opening things up to our community of talented designers. We are looking for 10 fresh designs that look like they could be a citizen of San Paro, and we are offering a 5000 Joker Ticket bounty for each design we choose! Here is how to enter: Reply to this thread with pictures of your contact (front and back) Include a small blurb about your character’s backstory (optional). How do they fit onto the city of San Paro? Please don't use any copyrighted material other than APB or our lore Designs must be submitted within 10 days (5pm PDT on 6/21) to be considered Matt Scott will be personally choosing the characters he likes best to add to the game! If you haven't already checked out the battleye FAQ, I would start there. It has solutions to many common issues. Usually, battleye will give you a filepath to the problematic element. Many times you can solve your issue by removing the problematic file from your game folder or renaming the extension so it doesn't activate.

Hey everyone, With the change to Battleye, a few users have poked me with issues getting their games running, so I figured I would create a thread for you all with common problems and solutions. This post will be updated as more common issues come my way, but for now I highly recommend anyone with an issue check out this FAQ for Battleye. It has a lot of useful information and has helped most users resolve their problems so far. Some common issues: If you have custom configurations or are using the advanced launcher and are having problems, try starting from a clean install of the game and then add things on bit by bit to find the problematic elements. As many community members have pointed out, Reshade is not supported by Battleye. Please be sure to disable it before running APB Some users have had issues with Battleye being caught by their firewall/antivirus. Make sure Battleye is whitelisted appropriately. If you are being kicked for AutoHotKey/AutoIT and can't find those programs installed on your machine, it may be because you have a program which uses those elements as a resource. Here are some common troubleshooting steps you can try: Ensure that you are not running any programs can create macros or allows you to run macros. This includes some mouse drivers. Ensure that you don't have old drivers installed such as outdated WiFi drivers. Ensure that you are not using VmWare. Some headphones and mice have AHK/AutoIT as part of their native software. Try disabling your mouse/headphone software while playing. If you are experiencing a "Bad Service Version" error which kicks you out upon joining a district, this can sometimes be fixed by restarting the game or by restarting your PC. Finally, as a reminder, you should avoid using any 3rd party programs to modify APB. The only approved program that doesn’t violate our TOS is the advanced launcher found here. For anyone with issues using Battleye, this FAQ is a good resource. It details many of the common problems users might have getting a Battleye protected game to run.

In the Joker Store, once you have purchased a weapon permanently for Joker Tickets, you can then always repurchase that weapon for APB$. This means that you no longer need to keep that weapon in your inventory if you don't want to.
