  3. Hey everyone, Here is the second article on our big patch this upcoming Wednesday (9/16). This article covers our ongoing efforts to dial weapons in to a healthy place. 4. That is still on our list, though I don't have an ETA I can share at this time.
  5. Some good questions, guys. Let me try to answer a few of them: Bundle discount procs on items you own the unlock for. That means if you purchased things through ARMAS, you still get the discount on bundles if you own items from that bundle (no matter where they came from). Yes, some of the items that are only available through cross faction packs will slowly be made available. For example, with this patch, Handgun Leg Holsters and Spray Cans are available for both factions. In addition to those, the faction specific rigging, Tactical Leg Rigging and Urban Leg Rigging are also both available for both factions. Yes, items are customizable! We have another article planned for tomorrow

  9. Did you try having your friend download the launcher directly from our website when Steam didn't work for them? If not, I would suggest giving that a try. If that still doesn't help, contact support with your details and they will do what they can to troubleshoot your issue. Mod edit: Moved the thread to the PC Bug and Tech Issues section ~@mayii

  11. That is my understanding. It looks like the confusion comes from the fact that premium is a 30 day grant and August has 31 days in the month. You should get the free premium grant once again on the 1st of September.

  13. Please wait a bit before submitting a ticket. I will bring this to the team. If this is a more widespread issue, we will want to resolve this systemically rather than ticket by ticket. Also, could you please clarify the issue for me? It is currently still August according to my calendar (8/31).
  14. I am seeing a lot of great comments here. Keep it coming! For those of you suggesting new items, are there classic favorites you find yourself wearing all the time as well? We want all the feedback!
  15. Hey everyone! September is Style Month, and we have a few exciting things planned. In the meantime, we'd love to start a conversation with all our thread heads out there. What are your favorite clothing items or accessories? What kind of items are an auto-include in your designs? Let us know here when you get a chance, and stay tuned for more fashionable news in the next few weeks! Sakebee
  16. Hey @Daimnon Can you please PM me your launcher.logs files so we can take a look? These can be found in the Launcher folder in your APBGame installation (example filepath: C:\Program Files (x86)\GamersFirst\APB Reloaded\Launcher)
  17. I understand your frustration and we would hate to see you go, but our anticheat measures are an important part of maintaining a healthy APB community. Have you tried the solution suggested by support? If you disable the macro software as instructed, you should be able to access the game properly. This solution has worked for many other users with this issue.

  20. Hey everyone, Covid continues to be a concern, but we are all in this together. We remain committed to our community and doing what we can to make these challenging times a little more doable. For everyone, we are continuing free premium through the end of September. For those of you who might be heading back to school, please be sure to take all necessary precautions. Stay safe, practice social distancing, and use a mask in crowded areas or if you need to venture out doors. We continue to get support tickets regarding this free grant. Before you submit a ticket, please read the following: For those of you who didn't have premium already - yay! You should be all set. For those of you who had premium before, there is currently a display issue where it looks like your premium is counting down. Please don't worry! We are aware of the issue, and there is no need for you to submit a support ticket. Your premium will be automatically extended for the length of the free premium period. You are not losing any time or missing out. If you have a reoccurring subscription and find yourself needing to tighten your belts as we remain on lock down, we understand. You will need to end your subscription manually. As above, you will get the automatic premium extension equal to the duration of this event and you will not lose any of your paid time. We hope this answers any questions you might have. Bee safe! Sakebee
  21. Sort of. Anti-cheat numbers are tricky because it is a bit of a red-queen problem. On average you tend to see sinewaves in the data as bad actors attempt to bypass, are caught, and then a new strategy is attempted. I don't want to dive too deep into the numbers because I don't think a running commentary on the statistics themselves help make for better community interaction. Inevitably they will be too low or too high depending on where people stand on the issue in APB, but I felt a small glimpse might be helpful for those worrying about the change. Ultimately, it is an ongoing process, but my hope is that by talking about it we can address some of the worry and rumors flying about, as well as encourage people to deal with cheating concerns in a way that helps the game as a whole (submitting a report rather than accusing players in game - something which might be cathartic for the accuser, but is ultimately unproductive and makes for a worse game experience if they happen to be wrong).
  22. Hey there @VanilleKeks We appreciate you posting your feedback about our anti-cheat solutions. We did a little bit of number crunching and started a thread inspired by some of your questions. Hopefully this answers a few of your concerns.
  23. Hey everyone, We have continued to hear concerns from various parts of the community about bans and that BE isn't working as well as EAC. We take these comments seriously. So as an experiment, we pulled the previous 10 months of stats from EAC before we switched and the last couple months of BE for comparison. We tried to think of meaningful ways we could compare them, and while I don't think these data are definitive proof of anything, I figured I would talk a little bit about what we found. Before I jump in, it is worth noting that when we first cut over to BE, we had a bug that prevented bans from happening properly. This meant that, early on, we had a lot more cheaters than normal after the transition. That bug did eventually get fixed, but it is fair to point out that we got off to a bit of a bumpy start. Also, knowing that we haven't been running BE as along as we had been running EAC, we had to come up with comparisons that wouldn't be skewed. First, we compared total monthly average bans between EAC and BE. Without giving specific numbers, I can say that BE bans players over 4x more than EAC. Second, we looked at the highest amount of bans in a single month, and BE still banned players 2x more times than EAC. This data indicates to us that in the first few months of the transition, we have had many more players trying to test the new system (thinking they can get away with things) who were then caught successfully. Furthermore, while it is too early to state definitively with only a few months under our belt, those ban numbers are already appearing to trend downward, meaning this initial surge may be tapering off. New cheats can and do pop up, and those players may get away with it for a while, but BE has methods of detecting, and eventually they get caught. Hopefully players will continue to settle as we provide improvements to the engine and the core gameplay, but either way we remain committed to improving player experience in APB and doing what we can to ensure a fair play environment. As players, the best way you can help is to play and enjoy the game. If you come across something you think is suspicious, use the report function or submit a ticket with the evidence you have. That will help our team investigate as necessary, and it is much more productive than whispering at players or trying to accost them directly. Let's all do our part to make APB a great place to play. Thanks guys! Sakebee
