How far along are the plans to get GFAC working on Linux? You guys are the only reason i keep a dual boot with Windows around. The latest update i can find on this topic is from last year august just saying it is high on your todo list.

I have been playing APB since 2014. I’m a grown man now and I still think back to this game every once in a while. Do you have any roadmap for a potential mobile release or resurgence?

The biggest reason I eventually left was the anti-cheat system. Spending £500 as a 17-year-old on customisations and Armas was a huge investment.

As much as I loved APB, the game undeniably declined because of the lack of updates, the removal of FairFight, and slow moderation response. I know the business has changed hands, but the APB concept was far too strong to be allowed to fade like this.
 

What are your plans for the future of APB, if any? I’d love to know whether there is a long-term vision for the game that might give players like me a reason to return one day.

I have a question, now that as far as members of this game since 2010\2011 have known about the future content that was in RTW files and now with the release of the legends patch as far as contacts rank ect what is left to be released or do you have plans for new contacts and higher rank caps of your own.

2) What is your assessment of the effectiveness of GFAC ?

    Any changes or additions you would like to make with regards to GFAC ?

Is Little Orbit going to start being more open with the community in regards to actions on cheaters? You brought out GFAC but after that you have gone silent and the game continues to have a high number of cheaters openly cheating and even streaming the cheats on youtube and twitch. It feels like LO doesnt care if the problem is resolved or showing the community they are taking any actions on reports.

It runs in a Windows virtual machine. Not ideal, but at least they're not actively breaking compatibility.

- Overhaul of designers (car, clothing, symbols) by fixing decade old issues, when?

- UE5, when? If this is still a thing, please skip it and go for UE4.27. I have absolutely no certainty that you'll manage to make UE5 performant as live currently is right now.
- New game modes (PvP, not PvE), when?
- New districts, when?

- What are your thoughts on buffing the crouch movement speed? Something along the lines of multiplying it by 2.
- Are there any plans on upgrading the pinging system? Perhaps adding a bind which allows for a user to ping a location without entering the map.
- Gun bullet tracers? When?
- Will you ever adjust the in-game crosshair to accurately reflect weapon accuracy, regardless of resolution?
- More account lifetime vehicles, when?

- New VOIP system, when?

Another conversation about heavenly pretzels. Many words, few actions. Lots of promises, lots of excuses. Matt is not the kind of person you can trust. He proved it many times. His problem is that he is unable to assess the opportunities and risks when choosing a goal. There are only one rakes in the field, but Matt managed to step on them probably five times...

It's going to be more of the same, I'll just watch because APB is a game that will always be in my heart even though I haven't played in a long time. 🫶

I’d like to ask if there are any plans to add a separate district and contact with a dedicated mission list for arranged matches? (As far as I know, this mission list was already sent to Frosi.)

There are already several Discord communities with around 60–80 players who are interested in playing arranged matches regularly. I think this should be treated as a priority, because it would also improve the experience for regular solo and duo players by separating them from highly coordinated 4-man groups that constantly sweat in normal matchmaking and make the game less enjoyable for others.

@MattScott You have to gain control of your own servers. 

Not to mention everyone asking for true cross district which means working on 

any contact from either wf or fin. 

 So Why at this stage, after all of your improvements to your engine, 

can a player decide he wants everyone to goto wf and demands it, then 

applies DDS and crashes the server. Why is "Some Player" able to do this. 

Hence, You and LO do not have control over your servers.

5/23/2026 AMA Bullet Summary

 

·         LO plans on adding their own web based Server/District Population Status
to replace community developed https://will.io/apb/
 

·         GFAC Server side is providing great results, more work needs to be done on Client side

·         Matt believes the Color Rank system (Bronze/Silver/Gold) is outdated, and discussed
removing it all together
 

·         Improve New Player experience, recognizes that they have bad player retention
Is not happy that New Players are t5hrust into missions against seasoned Vets
New Players ultimately quit
 

·         They have been playing around on their dev server with BOTS, the purpose is
to create PvE opportunities. This ties in to New Player experiences, Game Tutorials
Leveling Contacts/Stats will occur, but not at the same level as regular missions
 

·         Players using 3rd party tools to gain an advantage have been pooled against
like minded players.
Because of low population, some of these 3rd party tools players are experience
long wait times to go up against other 3rd party tools players


·         The addition of Tails was mentioned, and the subject was quickly changed as
Matt was shaking his head


·         Matt wants to do away with ARMAS requiring you to select a Character when
Redeeming codes and buying items, and just let the purchase be accessible at the Account level


·         Matt is happy with the new Vault features as a way to manage your inventory, and
the transfer of items between account Characters


·         APB is ready for an Epic Game Store release, but Matt wants to improve New Player experience
before Epic release to insure New Player retention has been addressed
 

I probably missed some things, but this was the jist of it.
I like the idea of PvE BOTS, as long as they’re not cheating.

UE5 development is on hold, as they concentrate on Player retention and QOL updates

They don't ban cheaters and want to add bots. Does KRAFTON now own APB Reloaded?
