Wasted_Potential 106 Posted June 23 Some modern cards, mainly Intel's lineup struggle with older non DX12 games like APB. I know in the past Matt mentioned that he wanted to update the game to DX12. Is this something that is currently being worked on or is it just something he would like to do but is a low priority now? Thanks.
TackoGirl 130 Posted June 23 Crosshair Dot Option (like in Social District) ?In the Social District, there’s a small dot in the center of the screen. Could we get an option to enable that in all districts? For some players, this acts like a minimal aim assist, and it would also reduce the need for third-party overlays or software, which is better for the anti-cheat system overall. More Cars and Tuning Options ?Are there any plans to introduce new vehicles or expand the tuning/customization system? The current selection is solid, but more variety (especially for older or underused vehicles) would really refresh the game. New Map Incoming ?Any news or rumors about a new district/map being developed? A new location would bring a big breath of fresh air into the game and give veterans something new to explore and learn. Yapopal 198 Posted June 23 Will the gameplay issues be resolved? I'll list some particularly dumb solutions. 1. The cars of third-party players are not an obstacle to bullets. By seeking protection from fraud, you sacrifice common sense. 2. Grenades, rockets fly past the sight near cars. This solution is from the same series as the first one. It works, but it doesn't make sense. 3. Shotguns are dead. Completely. They have no advantage at any distance, under any circumstances. Their damage is unpredictable, each shot is like choosing the side the goalkeeper will fall on when catching the penalty ball. 4. Escalation. Mission-breaking bullshoot. It has no other function. 5. The fight against rapid cargo transfer has been going on for many years. Have you thought of adding a timer to roll back the sprint and jump for a second? 6. Armored glass fences and, in general, problems with collisions and the drawing of some obstacles. 7. Health - slope interface. Add stereo sound from the bullet hitting the character and link it to the camera. Add a huge red mark from the first shot of any weapon. The choice of further actions is based on the information received from the health interface. Often this slope does not give out any information at all. 8. Underground explosions OPGL. Collision problems. And for some time now, Iran. 9. Jumping machine gunners and snipers. 10. Gold and bronze in one mission. It's the same as a ferret in a chicken coop. Who am I writing this to? Matt will come up with his own ideas and answer the questions that concern only him and Frosty)
Nanometic 266 Posted June 24 Is there any concern that discussing the new anti-cheat today will cause it to be less effective by exposing its inner workings to those who would want to exploit it?
Westford 189 Posted Wednesday at 11:44 PM (edited) Since the anti-cheat "topic" has come up.. Can you provide a status update on the "GamersFirst Technology Platform" initiative ? This platform, as was earlier described , was going to include the in-house developed anti-cheat. How is the progress, good news ? Many of us are still hanging in there . koenyboy500 66 Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM (edited) Any chance we get to see a 'store' option to set like a 'loadout' for weapons? I've accumulated tons of duplicate mods just to (spend my cash but also) speed up the process of swapping weapons in the midst and crucial points in a mission. And I've also been wondering if LessThanLethal weaponry could get attention one and possibly an opposite thing for the criminals? (no idea what to expect from this but highly curious nontheless) EDIT: One thing that bothers me is (on a smaller scope (heh) the weakness of the Scoped N-TEC but more importantly: The added redmod that increases range made the SBSR 'IRS' completely outclassed by the SBSR "Corona", I would love to see a small change/nerf(Corona)/buff(IRS) to give an advantage for either gun in their own way. MACKxBOLAN 465 Posted Thursday at 02:27 PM worthless thread, first off LO has only owned it for bout 8 years, cuz it was 7 years or so they let golds come into bronze district and desegregated so they could hack legits. it was also matt who had a bleeding heart for so called false bans, it was also matt who recruited thousands of hackers by unbanning them all. Matt said he wont ban hackers just give them cheat points, so they still gonna be in the district harassing those they know don't hack. I trust matt and his so called anti cheat about as much as that nurse with the 10 inch needle

Thanks. This isn't APB's fault. It runs on Nvidia and AMD's latest GPUs. It runs on Windows and Linux. It doesn't need DX12. It barely utilizes DX9. The only graphics intense part of APB is the particles, and that's because APB overuses them, going against Epic's best practices for Unreal Engine 3. It will be far less work if they reworked a few particles like vehicle explosions, muzzle flash, and blood.
Yapopal 198 Posted Friday at 07:09 PM Why is the health interface not working? I have a clean client, the health interface option is enabled, and a high level of graphics. I'm sick of wondering how much health a character has. This is the main reason for losing a fight. I would like to note that the health interface works, for example, on sniper rifles and shotguns. But it is absent on other types of weapons. Most likely, one of the main parameters of the weapon is responsible for the operation of the health interface, most likely this parameter is the traumatic effect. FPS drops to 25 frames if you arrange a 4-on-4 match with NFAS weapons. This is a typical example of an no optimized use of particle effects. Bruhd101 27 Posted Saturday at 06:06 AM (edited) Not sure if it would even be possible, but with the anti-cheat, before even banning them, will there be any ways to mess with them (super low damage, bullet ghosting, and gun jamming) because annoying them would have done alot more to make them give it up, than just kicking them or Banning them just to do it again because whats gonna really stop them especially with GM rarely around nowadays also, well there will PVE ways for enforcers to make money, like maybe frisking NPCs to check for illegal drugs or counterfeit money, and for criminals, can there be more animations for grabbing NPCs that do some specific animations (crouching, running away or doing some special animation) which always prevents you from mugging them Edited Saturday at 01:30 PM by Bruhd101
