[Updated] Custom shaders Not allowed & Advanced Launcher is now OK to use, for now.

Recommended Posts

it should stay blocked since you can gain advantage in combat by having no overly saturated particles, like people who dont use it.

it should be available to everyone via options like it was being discussed in the Q&A stream.

For the amount that USPStyles has helped the community with his advanced launcher why dont they just hire him on and let him be part of their team? Or give him some kinda credit something idk. Regardless of the purpose, his advanced launcher has legit helped more people than he can even count or any of us can count.

Im just sayin

On the plus side, they finally show signs of giving the official version of it integrated in-game.

But yeah, kinda worrying. (but also necessary i guess)

At least we know their position on this.

Feelings about the engine upgrade to UE 3.5/4 aside, it should give better options along with it. The advanced launcher is nice to have. Frankly the main thing I like it for is the transparent menu, not for an advantage, I just don't like the solid gray on the marketplace or inventory. Hopefully they also make the splash screens skippable or removeable altogether.

Is it okay to put a sheet of tinted cellophane with a crayon dot over my monitor?

That isn't what you are supposed to do with it.

But it is the closest I can get to shaders.

I use my crayon without the shades closed.

You take hardware acelleration off, and set the slider to zero then back to 6, in windows control panel mouse options. That's what people have told me.

Any setting fixes the stutter for me, or maybe it's placebo effect.

i mean, you say to set it to 6, but you've got it set to 7 🤔

The problem for color blind people is not mainly the color of the crosshair. It is the color of the enemy name tags. To red/green color blind people like me (which is the most common type of color blindness), in some lightning conditions it is impossible to tell an enemy nametag from a friendly one. About 8-10% of males are color blind, so it's pretty common (1 in 200 for women) and it has always been a problem for me.

Please update so we can change the color of the nametags, and perhaps the opacity too so that it doesn't shift color depending on background light etc.

I'm blind in all the ways, so I feel I could benefit from the new crosshairs. And I appreciate that they are taking in account what we are putting out there and requesting.

Honestly today I got rid of no particle config and Advanced APB Launcher and just reinstalled APB. I set the minimal settings and I really don't feel any difference. The game looks pretty much the same as before and the performance is also the same.

Advanced APB Launcher will always be allowed, and if not then you can just do manual configs.

There is no way this will EVER be banned.

Look at CS, Fortnite, PUBG... You can use configs in those games just fine because you're basically doing the same as you're doing IN GAME!

If they were to lock that, then my god.. They should rethink a few things.

Shaders should just be compiled and shipped with the game, problem fixed.

Make nvidia add APB to freestyle, and we can have free colorblind modes with that.

Advanced APB Launcher does nothing but read a file and make changes to that file.

You can basically do the same with notepad? Should we ban notepad as well?
