@MageLO unknown error gfac launcher app 3, error 53 gfac launcher. I have repaired the launcher, gone to files n updated gfac, still same error. -
So im having the same problem that appears to be prevelent in here. GFAC fails to initilize and when clicking start the launcher auto closes and the game doesnt start. I am running through steam and I am still using windows 10. I deleted all GFAC files and the launcher fails to initilize GFAC to reinstall them with anti virus off.

Hello peeps, I had my fare share of issues with APB like anyone else here, but this time the game wont start immediate shutdown after clicking start from the launcher. Help. Thanks for your help in advance.

Fixed it by running the Repair in the launcher and the Update in the GFAC

Hi, logged off yesterday evening. came back today, logged in and getting the Message, my Characer is stuck in a Social blablabla and is locked for 15 mins. Trying to get in for about 3 hours now. - Repair option through Launcher done - Installing GFAC again still the same issue. Someone can help me? Thanks! Carnova

The servers are coming back online now which mean's the Christmas event is LIVE! If you are having issues connecting to the login server please restart your games and run the Launcher again! Please let us know if you encounter any issues and keep an eye out for the announcement for the Christmas sale later today. -

I fixed this by uninstalling GFAC then restering PC and deleting the GFAC folder in Program Files , then opened the launcher and let it reinstall GFAC -

i tried everythink no luck at all.Any idea? I have updated repaird tho launcher and updated the GFAC no luck -
9:20 EST Failed to connect to both NA & EU World Server after successful Login Disabled BitDefender anti-virus ... Ran APB Launcher Repair does not appear to be a Client issue. Reboot Router .. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. -
Updated APB to the Valentine's patch while waiting for Windows Update (KB5077181) (26200.7840) to download and install. (Also Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.139 (KB890830)) Launched APB, went to Social, visited mailbox to retrieve new stuff, went to the new Vault, pressed key to interact, game crashed to desktop. Crash reporter always gets stuck at "zipping file;" has been a problem for years. Exited. Windows Update KB5077181 finished; restarted PC. Tried to launch APB, received the GFAC Error ID: 53 as posted in an earlier comment here. Ran APB launcher again, this time selecting 'Repair.' Still crashed with same error code. Followed step 'b' in this post to uninstall and reinstall GFAC. Restarted PC. Tried to launch APB, received the same error. Stuck. Is this possibly related to the new Secure Boot certificates in KB5077181? Can't play event, can't receive login rewards.

No, but the launcher was bugged for most of the day and required a bypass to be able to play. It is down for maint now. The bypass: If youre using the G1 launcher - open FE install location and type "frontend LOGGEDIN=TRUE PASSWORD=" into the address bar, hit ENTER. If youre using Steam - same, but with "frontend LOGGEDIN=TRUE PASSWORD= STEAM=TRUE".

nope,i did a repair on the original client side launcher i dont use advanced launcher. -
@MageLO, if you could ask the Dev Team what process should those players use that are having issues launching the game because of the GFAC issues. a) Normal Operation - Start the APB Launcher, allow the GFAC update to complete - Press Start to enter the game b) Completely uninstall and remove ALL GFAC before starting the APB Launcher - run the C:\Program Files\GFAC\uninst.exe - delete the C:\Program Files\GFAC directory - Check the Registry Entries for any GFAC references and delete Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\Little_Orbit - Reboot the computer - Start the APB Launcher, allow the GFAC initial Install, then update to complete If the Dev Team believes that option "b" is unnecessary, then please let us know sometime tomorrow. Much appreciated

FE launcher / updater / whatever was bugged for most of the day and required a bypass to be able to play. Game is down for maint now. Edit: its back, issues ^ fixed. -
Hello everybody, today we're releasing our in-house Gamersfirst Anti-Cheat, we have spent the last few months pouring all available resources into the project and are excited to finally release it to the public. However, this Tech is extremely advanced and is bound to have some issues so we're going to keep a list of all known issues related to GFAC in this thread! Additionally, if you encounter an issue related to GFAC we would like you to post about it in this thread and try to keep unnecessary chatter to a minimum as this is not a feedback thread. Known Issues: Some users are unable to launch the game while steam is open. (Investigating - For now users can launch the game by closing Steam prior to opening or using the "-nosteam" launch argument together with the APB.exe located in the Binaries folder) In your report please include the following: A screenshot or video of the error/issue you're encountering. Details on when the error/issue occurs. Date and Time of the issue. Are you using any sorts of file edits? (Configs) Your relevant Computer Specifications such as: Processor. Graphics Card. RAM. What kind of drive APB is installed on. (NVME/SSD/HDD) Operating System. Anti-Virus software. We may also reach out privately to ask for more details but the above should help us track down issues so we can fix them as soon as possible! Thank you for your cooperation.

Any game mechanic that reveals enemy players without requiring visual contact (at the very least) is a dogshit mechanic keep that shit deleted, and bin firework launcher and spotter too just for consistency -

Are the servers/gfac still having issues? I've tried to play yesterday and yesterday I kept getting the error "Init error: Please check your internet connection.", I thought the game is still on maint but today it still won't work. Now I keep getting two errors at the same time after trying to launch the game via the launcher: "Init error: Update GFAC" and "System Failure, can't start game." I'm using the normal launcher (not steam) and also am launching it as admin, but I won't get past the launcher even though it still worked fine on wednesday. I already tried repairing the game files but it didn't help. I don't know how I'm supposed to update just GFAC, it's running version 1.0.0 ever since it's been implemented. Edit: I've found the way to update just GFAC, it's in a different folder and called GFAC_updater.exe, for anyone having similar issues. Game seems to work now. Edit 2: Yeah game would work but sadly the login doesn't. Oh well. -
Update: Decided to reinstall APB as a possible fix - Uninstalled APB - Uninstalled GFAC - Reboot - Reinstalled APB - Start APB (from launcher) - Launcher disappeared and GFAC installer for 1.0 appeared and completed install - Pop up Window with Error "Init - Unkown error handled! APP: 3(GFAC_LAUNCHER); Error ID: 53 https://imgur.com/a/G3npr5i Not sure why the image is not displayed. The option to "Insert image from URL" does not work

Solved it. turn of any antivirus -not just the basics, but advanced options- and after you will receive an error from GFAC saying can't update. Go to the folder of GFAC in programs files and run the updater manually -if you have 2 files called updater Run them both- then turn the antivirus back on again. Now the game will run.

The Xmas Event was rigged, not just that the elf only came at night but the beacon having such gun levels that allow jumping or things that look like hacking without first informing the players of those special abilities. The elf contact lead to no progression of the contact. Elf was always at level 1. Lack of knowledge as to how to advance Holiday Role, was actually playing regular missions. This following a discord ban for no given reason and staff did nothing to get me back in. Was a great Xmas gift. Furthermore, No compensation for lost time on premium and or non prem accounts, for the excessive down time, dds, server issues prior to and throughout the xmas event. Then lets add in that either your anticheat was dysfunctional during the event or turned off and the flood of golds and cheese heads who took over NA. Lo's toxic buddys running people over, being blatant. Politics are suppose to be forbidden, yet I get all kind of political rage bait. I could go on for hours, but I'll leave it at this. LO has become part of the problem, they have sided with the toxics, the hackers, and grievers. They get not a Dime from me. Open Bronze dist for silvers and lower, reinstate me to discord, turn the ac back on n then we might come to a point of me trusting LO. -

The game is mostly the same it was back in 2014, if that helps, just no marketplace, and no reward points. From what i know right now - its safe to say the AMA will be APB centered. I asked about one for FE too, but didnt get anything concrete [2nd quote here]. But there is a real posibility of getting FE info during APBs lucky day, especially since knowing FE players - there will be at least a few lurking there and asking about FE all the time. Whatever FE related info gets dropped on discord and not reposted to the forums by LO themselves - ill put it here.
