I use the APB advanced launcher downloaded from the GamersFirst website to force everything related to graphics to max possible. With GFAC etc can we still use advanced launcher? -

i got stuck loading the world, after 10 minutes the game is crashing, tried APB launcher and advanced launcher and its not working is there something more to do ? -

Hello everyone, as the title suggests: I wanted to get back into APB after many years and, for the occasion, I decided to start fresh. So I created a new account and downloaded the game launcher from the official website. When attempting to launch the game, the launcher opens briefly for a few seconds, displaying an half-loaded screen before closing automatically (I tested the Steam version and this also happens there). Initially I thought that the problem was within the launcher itself (as others reported similar issues in various forums), so I attempted to use the Advanced APB Launcher first, however it wouldn't open at all despite following the instructions in the included .txt file. Then I tried launching the game directly from the APB.exe located in the Binaries folder, and the game actually started and seemed to work, but when I try to log in I consistently receive the error code 8, so I can't even create my new character. Despite spending half of my day trying various solutions and workarounds found across this forum and internet (such as deleting the clientfiles.xml and re-open the launcher, changing the content in the EnvironmentGame.ini file, re-installing the VC2012_Redsit etc..), none seem to resolve this issues. I am genuinely losing hope - is there any other way to resolve this problem?

Using the advanced launcher you can still play APB today without Steam. Players like me who still do this I don't think would show up on the Steam charts. Although admittedly the last week population has been limited. -
GFAC BAN list??????? or is this such an advanced super anti-cheat that there is not a single ban?

@MageLO apb.exe keeps crashing on start...after each time starting the apb launcher it updates scans everything then gives start button. After pressing Start, apb shows for second in tasks processes and then just vanishes without initializing or doing pretty much anything else. I hope you guys will work it out. Thanks in advance P.S. i am using gamersfirst client not steam so maybe client has some problems P.S. 2 i got nod32 anti-virus and i excluded GFAC from being interfered so thats not it -

Myself and my daughter both immediately tried, we received an update in APB Launcher, GFAC update appeared to also update, but then after pressing Start the launcher closes down and no further processes running. I'm running on Linux and she is on Windows 10.

When I start APB Reloaded through Steam, the launcher will open a window "Updating" when this closes, the APB launcher will scan files, and when this completes I can click 'Start'. At this point the launcher window disappears, and nothing further will happen, when checked there are no APB processes running. APB Reloaded installed through Steam, running using Proton on Linux. CPU is Intel Xeon E5-2667 v2 64 GB ram RTX 2070 Installed to NVMD Drive with 60% free space Linux Mint OS, no anti virus. Prior to this update, APB Reloaded was working fine with no issues.

digging for log file, figured out that for some weird reason sound banks are now 0kb size and launcher won't do anything about it. killed them manually, redownloaded - sound is here again (for who knows how long)

I have 2 copies of the game. The first through the apb launcher. The second through steam. In both versions on the main account I can't get missions and get into the fight club. On the new account on any version I get missions.

Huh, very curious. For the veterans who keep coming back to APB:R I would see this as a win. But the devs would probably blow up something in the spaghetticode so I'm gonna play it safe xD -
There should be an option in the G1 launcher to "use steam authentication", was at least earlier. That should work if accounts are linked. I think. I dont use steam, but still trying to help. Which ever way you try - the update takes LONG for some, so tab out and let it do its thing for a while. The G1 launcher might exit after logging in or after completing the update - should work normaly after you relaunch it. If nothing at all works, then i guess thats just how many people are allowed to log in into this. -
Users that have applied this fix can now safely revert to the default MTU value by running the fix again but with the following command: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "NameOfTheAdapter" mtu=1500 store=persistent

The game is up, but not for everyone. We sneaked into LO testing it, so for some it doesnt work (afaik - some steam users can log in via steam. but it doesnt work for all. G1 launcher seems to work for most). FE UPDATE, YAY: LO is the best thing that ever happened to FE.

Hello everyone Last time I used my laptop was for playing APB a couple days ago. Today, when I run it again, was trying to yet again play APB but after I press "play" button in launcher - nothing happens. Tried fresh reinstalling the game on another drive since I wanted to do this long time ago, but no result. After I checked game logs I found out that SARD can not initialise and game closes. Exitting. 08:38:43 - Log: appRequestExit(0) 08:38:43 - Exit: Exiting. 08:38:43 - Log: Log file closed, 06/09/24 11:38:43 Did anyone encounter that type of errors? Is there any way to reinstall SARD? I cant find it in control panels' app list No mods or configs were used, just vanilla apb Thanks in advance

Main issue i have been having is the anticheat. every time i shut off my computer and turn it on. if i want to log in i have to. log in, get told i have an error. log out fix said error. log in, new error, log out rerun launcher, error is fixed. Then i get stuck with the person who is trying way to hard on a saturday afternoon for the 5 matches i'm willing to play and leave.

@MageLO I can report that loading speed is fine but absolutelly no sound in the character select menu nor in game, i turned it all the way up n no sound. thats from NA n I live near LA so low ms New report. I did a launcher repair and my sound is back. So No issues Magelo. However some are reporting slow log in loading or world loading, infinite loading from discord. I had no problem with loading log in or world, got right in. -

Kaspersky anti-virus blocks the download of launcher updates. Why don't you fk write about it anywhere? I came across reviews in steam. The dude writes that the game was closed and it's all a hoax. I came across questions in third-party forums. Why the hell don't you write about such things? I thought the European servers were down. -

Kinda sad that one of THE golden rules and staples of APB:R survival strategies I've set up out there to the public is being adjusted. I always felt like these things in particular had SO MUCH APB soul to it. But alas, I suppose that for new players this would... make sense? It will probably not help them much though. Advanced players will now try to avoid entering like this and newer players I can imagine will fall prone to it. But if the newbies get a clean kill once in a blue moon cause a veteran tried to enter their car, I'm all for it.
