    Sorry but who thought these MM changes were good?

    Too many people who would very much give 100% false-feedback if it means they get to s♥mp more to LO.

    It is ironic because most of them now decided to lay-low. They can't show face with the current outcome.

    Now you can see that 50-100 players on average leave the game every week.

    That's much higher than the true-rate but yes. Players are indeed backing away.

    Realistically speaking, 50 Players WILL dip for sure once they reach the new Max Rank.

    I think we need to push the idea of the game balance as much as possible, as it was before (at least).

    We have but it felt on deaf ears. At least we reverted the nonsensical x2 Med Spray healing speed as well as managed to introduce a downside to Highburn Fuel.

    LO didn't display balancing efforts beyond minor or illogical tweaks.

    For now, there should be a balance patch this September. Let's see what they will do this time. I genuinely hope it would be a step in the right direction but I wouldn't celebrate till it actually turns out good.

    It would also be useful to have AI, to simply collect information about how players usually play, their paths to points, and create an AI behavior pattern from this information.

    LO was never good with experimenting. It is also not a good idea to have AI learn from all active players. A good number isn't good enough to be an example for AI to learn from.

    It would be faster and more consistent to do something standard for AI PvE NPCs.

    I have friends who don't play this game because of the broken balance.

    When asked if they would play this game if it had PVE, 8/10 friends said they would play this game, the other 2 friends only want PVP but with balance.

    Based on a survey of my friends who tried APB and quit after a few missions (and losses in a row), but a couple of friends lasted in this game even for a week and only because of me, but quit the game because of the too broken balance.

    That's why I'm more than sure that if APB has PVE, it will be online and players will buy various items in Armas.
    I'm personally ready to buy something in Armas once every 1-2 months if the game starts to bring me pleasure as it did with a working balance.

    Spot on.

    I agree with your friends. Balance is definitely lacking and was deemed low priority for a long time.

    Honestly, I'm ready to try to make AI for APB Reloaded for "thanks".

    This is the game of my childhood and giving the game a new life would not be so difficult for me.

    Unfortunately, the developers do not listen to that percentage of players who want to play the game for fun and immersion, the developers listen only to those players who have configs that turn off smoke, explosions, shots, objects on the map, ragdolls and even parts of the map, which gives an advantage in the game compared to ordinary players whose goal is to enjoy the game as it is, and not a game with graphics in the style of Potato Mode.
    Players with configs play for dominance, for self-affirmation, and players who play this game for the entourage and immersion suffer and leave the game FOREVER.

    Now average online dropped to 700 players.

    MattScott in the AMA declared attempts to make PvE. He won't 'spoil' it and may give information at a later date.

    I'm not sure if he'll let you in on that but the possibility exists.

    Word in the community and (unconfirmed) information from known cheat providers is that client-side is either turned off or not working. EAC detected cheats can be used and server auto bans are off.

    There are actual r270s snapping in fightclub farming the entire lobby for hours.

    Not sure what genius idea it is to "test" your AC on the biggest patch in half a decade, but if you wanna get rid of the returners asap it's a good strat.

    High mmr missions are unplayable more often than normal, with people straight up running down spawn points.

    How much more data do you need before you start banning people?

    And you are more "genius" for spreading the word that EAC detected cheats are now possible to use .. on the official forums..

    Great job.

    Yeah fair enough.

     0.04s won't make much difference though from the point I was making 😎

    The point you were shooting for isn't the problem.

    This thread exists to try and nerf Colby .45. The problem is that "0.96 s" says that a 6-shot-to-kill Colby .45 will be faster than FBW when in reality, they will be exactly equal.

    I am afraid even 0.01s can make a difference since people are using "macro" as the measure of performance.

    The .45 doesn't have a lower TTK than most guns.

    (seconds)

    .45 = 0.8
    FBW = 1.0

    FR0G = 0.8

    N-FA 9 = 0.63

    STAR = 0.75
    N-TEC = 0.7

    CARBINE = 0.75

    OBEYA = 0.84

    OBIR = 1.2

    OCA = 0.7
    PMG = 0.7
    JG = 0.65

    Correct.

    The primaries can kill even faster if the Player is willing to sacrifice reliable range by equipping Cooling Jacket. Something Colby .45 can never have installed on demand.

    With current matchmaking there's problem to even start one mission, yet alone segregate anything.

    Maybe they should fix whatever they screwed up first.

    And they made it even harder by reducing district capacity from 50v50 to 40v40.

    I think escalation is actually great thing you implemented which stop problem with one-sided matches you forced to sit on.

    I only got two problems:

    1. This one is fairly obvious and I think universally noticed - mission weren't modifed for escalation... that problem is especially visible in finales which don't properly scale up and usually side more with defending sides, especially if we talk about point capture finale or VIP ones.

    2. Here's problem is implementation of escalation itself - I don't think escalation should have approval of both team leaders - often it leads to pathological situations in matches where escalation is needed but enemy team leader will veto it because they win said match. In my opinion there's better non-autocratic alternative where escalation request is voted by one entire team requesting escalation and then if accepted by it, escalation happens. I know this proposition is controversal but problem is if we allow for escalation to be in current form then current situation with toxic playerbase will nullify it's impact to zero.

    If I could agree beyond 100%, I would.

    Pure facts.

    So it's fastest TTK in it class and it almost on pair with a most powerful primaries in the game. The FBW has a slower TTK and it less accurate on a max ROF.
    Regarding the STAR you need to stand still and shot in burst to achive accuracy, that Colby has when hipfiring on the move. So you cant compare them this way.
    PMG/OCA etc. are CQC weapon they needs they needs to be exeptional up close.
    Back in the they(before the NANO was relesed) everything was almost perfectly balanced(except ACT 44 GM, but P2W was a thing that days). You can use N-FA for close and preson, it was a beast in CQC but you'll literlly need to stick into enemys face, PDW was a good pocket SMG, not as good as primary but still usefull as backup weapon on a short ranges, FBW was a just a good all around pistol which is not best at anything.
    Nowdays non of them work anymore because of Colby 45 outclased them all and you can just equip Colby 45 and N-Tec/OBEYA and be covered at pretty much every range possible(except extremly long, but N-HVR was nerfed to the ground so its' not an issue anymore).

    Nerfing Colby .45 will not make PDW better. The same goes for the other weapons you have mentioned.

    People will simply use the next best thing available, which is why it is simply best to instead buff PDW and the others.

    s still a broken gun, its good in CQC and has way too much range, it should be one or the other-not both

    Not true.

    Colby .45 at best kills in 0.8 seconds.

    This is APB, "good in CQC" doesn't mean it is exceptional in CQC. With that time it literally loses to STAR in CQC. What justifies its nerf in CQC vs PMG/OCA/JG/LMGs?

    Colby .45 is fine. Losing to it in CQC is a Player-fault.

  12. 2 hours ago, ninjarrrr said:

    the gun is a pocket primary imo, the same reasons why the RFP got nerfed

    RFP got nerfed because 'Fang' had a tier 3 mod, being inaccessible for regular RFP without paying. Regular RFP was completely inferior.

    Colby .45 is a different story. Any Player can get one permanently for as cheap as 3000 JTs. No need to even spend real money to get it. There are also secondaries that act as primaries with mods even. It isn't a negative point against Colby .45.

    Confusing. This seems to be misworded. And this is a 3 shot AV sniper. So we are increasing the range from 88 to 95m to get a two shot kill,

    for an anti-vehicle, and the stamina effect, yet the DMR-SD which is notorious for being used as a stunner, and is a two shot sniper,

    is not effected by these changes'. It is almost like they have mixed up the two guns

    Both DMRs have a hidden special ability that defies logic. Shots gain more damage over range, similarly to how 'volcano' rockets deal more damage the further they fly (volcano gains damage more gradually, DMR requires extreme range for the damage bonus to start taking effect)

    In a sense, DMR shots are rocket-powered.

  14. "Increased the range in which Mobile Spawn Points become invalid from 35m to 55m."

    About time. I'd like to say better late than never but I still wonder as to why this took years to happen.

    --------------------

    "Decreased the Health and Stamina damage of the DMR-AV Sniper Rifle to decrease the range in which it can Kill in two shots from 88-100m to 95-100m."

    I can see through that... It was deliberately set to 95-100m to try and kill AV's ability to 2 shot at long range without explicitly saying so.... Because within its 0.6 seconds time-to-kill, the opponent can Sprint a distance of 4.8 meters, effectively getting out of the 100m play range.

    For the millionth time, stop wasting time 'testing the waters' with obvious meta-nerfs and buff the irrelevant weapons like you said you will in may's recap.

    Also be nice if they posted an official notice of what factors raise or lower your threat.

    In addition the system is broken, has been because why does one upthreat from bronze to silver

    after losing a mission and doing poorly relative to the team, and You up threat.

    I was going to ask as to where you got that '+1000 score average over x20 missions' from, but you just asked the *golden question* (pun not intended but I might as well keep it).

    YEARS ago, upthreating/dethreating was decided by winning/losing. Now, it is decided by relative score. Winning a mission simply gives a +700 score boost.

    Yes, the system is broken and can rarely bug out (especially in 2v2 matches), but generally the player must be in the upper-half of the scoreboard. Say in a match of 4x4, one should be at least 4th in terms of score. The further away the player is from 4th and 5th places, the greater the impact to their threat.

    By contrast, this effect also drives those who excel in a given area to think the task is simple for everyone, leading them to underestimate their abilities.

    Let me quote a Gold chatter from last night. "Gold is so easy to get, almost everyone is gold now'

     Ya know this isn't the 'Space Race' its a pretend video game.

    It indeed is simple to press F at an objective.
