  1. I wouldn't care. Because Golds would only go down to Silver. I'd have no issues with them there, because at least newer players (what few even try out APB) are protected from the 255's.
  2. Even though I still didn't get the title for finding him.....................................................................................
  3. Because a lot of APB is custom coded Unreal modules. How about this. Dynamic Day and Night cycles didn't exist, until APB made the module for it. There is quite a lot of custom coded and strung together modules, that even the developers don't know how they got it working. This has been one of the largest hamperings to upgrading the Engine. Because so many custom modules and coding is linking all of this together, and changing one thing has had huge impacts across the entire game. For example, Tracers. The game had a massive team (300+) as well, and a lot of mismanagement, and even departments not knowing what one had was doing from the other. RTW raised over $300m. APB had $150m sunk into it. And do you realize how far Game Engines, and coding has come since 2005? 6 Employees trying to rework a discombobulated old engine code that over 100 coders made............................................................................ And even those original coders don't know how everything worked............. And you think, them getting (per Matt Scott) 90+% of it done, is them not giving a shit?
  4. This is exactly why even RP was doing things that the community didn't like, but were out of the norm. Best way to learn the code you are trying to unravel, is to use it in a practical way. But this community continues to be garbage, because they can't see for the forest for the trees.
  5. Yes, because after 5 years, and 150 million dollars, EA wanted something to show for their money. You do realize, that in order to add in new content, they'd have to do the EU anyways, as the heavily customized Engine that APB was running on was not fully understood by the 6 coders G1 had left, right? How sweet. ^.^ Now, are you still Gold in Bronze, using OSMAW's on R15's? Says the guy that was Gold in Bronze nightly.......... Ooooooooooooooh, the irony!
  6. Exactly. I don't think threat segregation hurt APB at all. Which is why it's so funny when people use it to keep being Gold in Bronze Districts. If you look after it ended, that's when APB started to hemorrhage players.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... It's almost like the community was one of the biggest sources of player loss.
  7. Here is a tip. Git.... Gud.... The best balanced primary weapon in the game, you get as a starter rifle. OMG! Nurf da STAR! Seriously... 7 years, and you still don't know how to fire a FBW?
  8. How to Counter NFAS: Shoot them from a distance. You're welcome.
  9. I was gonna link a vid for lawlz... But... Cheaters are scum anyways.
  10. Ooooooooooooooooooooor.... Just make a new account, and let it idle in Social... And not do anything while you sleep with a belly full of tendies that you used GBP for, and wake up and cheat all day while REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-ing at legit players.
  11. So they just idle characters in Social, and then can hop in. when they wake up... Sounds too easy.
  12. Fairfight, undoing unjust bans, putting the EU into tester hands, events, ARMAS reworks, blog posts, active CM and GM's, CEO being active on the forums, a roadmap, sticking to the roadmap, admitting when things aren't going the way of the roadmap..... Yeah... I'd say a lot of those things are quite game breaking around here. What does "Øݺ" mean?
  13. Cookie trying to save himself from being banned again.
  14. For a comparatively priced processor, the FX chips were much better than the dual-core chips Intel was offering. The i5-3570K was $250-ish at release. My FX-6350 was $140-ish. I got a mobo, CPU, and RAM for the cost of the i5. And it's still not -THAT- bad. Because that is a server thing, not an engine thing.
  15. It doesn't matter about their previous library. What mattered was Matt Scott's drive to make APB great again.
  16. It wasn't a bash at them at all. I was one of the few that didn't give them shit for a long time, till the whole KttC banwave. And even then, I didn't have a massive grasp of the situation. Except the fact that even the RTW Devs didn't know what the hell they were doing, either. What made me anti-RP was the KttC Bans, and then the year+ silence from Tiggs regarding anything. If Tiggs was even 1/4 of talkative as Matt Scott is, maybe she wouldn't have gotten so much hate (She still would have gotten it, but probably not as much.)
  17. Uuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Yeah... Anyone who thought otherwise was way out of the loop. There have been numerous times that it's been stated that the original APB Engine is a hodgepodge of Unreal Engine, and numerous custom modules that RTW made just for APB. Modules that have been since developed for Unreal, but integrated in an entirely different way. When you start taking out these massive bits, you have to figure out how to get them reworking with the new code. Basically, the entire game has nearly been rewritten. Why do you think it's taken so long, honestly? You have a small team (RP had 6 coders at one time) doing the work that a massive team of 300 were doing. And that team of 300 took 5 years to make the game, and it still got rushed and pushed out without it being completed.
  18. Plus you got to factor in that most of the APB players use computers with onboard graphic chips, and from 10 years ago.
  19. It seems so many forget that even the original developers didn't even know how half the stuff worked.
  20. Oh yeah? Well... I don't look at ates. I just reply. But yeah... The hardest part of LTL is teammates. Kill steals and just plain being dumb are the largest hurdles. And even then... Yer still dead.
