    Again no.

they sold the rights to any FUTURE games based on the APB franchise to a chinese company.

They hold all the rights to THIS game and are still working on the engine and new content.

little orbit sold the apb ip (which means everything) to unit game and are licensed to continue developing apb:reloaded

its likely that the licensing is indefinite and probably also free as part of the sale contract, but they no longer own apb

golds should have thought of that before they came n cried to the forum moderators to desegregate, I mean they begged to get into bronze specifically, saying that other golds n silvers were dethreating to escape them, and come and farm us in bronze.

So to fix this they let all the golds into bronze. So they choose to ruin the game of the 7 bronzies that were before desegregation and give the game to the 7 golds that played in silver and cried to the gold sympathizing moderators.

So see if that had not happened, I would not be saying that Golds cried to get into and farm bronze. It would just be what it be.

I wouldnt be angry at the bias moderators and consider it a Conspiracy.

I know better than to come in here and list demands to LO, but I wont pay, till something is done about the forum moderators, the golds, and cheater.

Full reinstatement of Fair Fight, Resegregation, and New Forum staff. Forum staff should not be dictating the game mechanics and when they enforce forum rules they should do so with everyone, not just me. (others cursed allot in that thread n moderator did nothing to them. I feel the reason why so many reported cheaters are still playing is that they are friends and or the same Mod is involved.

If I'm wrong ok, but once you Impeach the integrity of your honor and credibility, anything you do after the fact is suspect.

just as many golds were against desegregation as for it

forum mods are not game mods afaik

    Option? What?

essentially it doesn't really matter if its cheaters or veterans rolling everyone, the effect is nearly the same on the population

People talk about a faltering playerbase, but steam charts suggest that it's followed a fairly consistent trend (not a high number, but a consistent one) over the last 3 months.

i prefer steamcharts myself, and while the exact numbers are a bit different for whatever reason the population is back to the worst point its been in the past year - there was a small bump back in august when we had some significant negative balance changes reversed, then another for the halloween event, and there'll likely be another for the xmas event

my expectation is that after the xmas event is over we'll return to the slow and steady decline we had earlier this year

i wish ts cd tag useless comments with label 'useless', i so wish.... im trying to suggest mb abviuos, but at least some ideas to prolong interest of playing the game at the current engine, some cool ppl also do that, but there are so little of them. If they need at leaast 1 or 2 more years to make eu happen (and they will probably need), then bringing nothing new to apb will definitely make it loose pop. And u, 95% of this awful community can mostly only hackusate, cry and be as toxic as possible. What did u answer in the polls? Look which answers get most points. The most toxic ones. I specially added answers "No" for normal ppl. That just proves how atrocious this community is. Such a pity normal players have to suffer cos of u. U will get ur place in hell for this, dw

yikes, complaining about toxicity in the same post you're hella toxic in

you put joke answers in a poll and then when people (not me btw) pick the joke answers you get all whiny about your poll not being taken serious, like its not entirely your fault lmao

yea dont release anything cool and interesing at all, let the game just die

the game isnt dying because 4 guns that 95% of the population doesn't even know exist arent available in the joker store, what a bizarre take

Matt is not the only dev and I'm very sure he's not in charge in anything related to balancing. 🙂

matt might listen to the people he's hired that he believes know better, but at the end of the day as the ceo im pretty sure he's got the final say on just about anything related to apb

This current system is much better, and the prices are cheaper compared to Joker boxes. I think on average you had to spend 80-100$ on a JMB to get a legendary, now it's 50$ (rent for 10 weeks at 5€ a week) and you also have a chance to get it permanent after every time you rent it.

im pretty sure its $100 dollars, since its 20 rentals for the guaranteed legendary - might actually be $105 because i think its the 21st rental that becomes permanent

the new system is better than joker boxes, but its still a bit ridiculous

Most of the people online were high tier players so it was more like 15-20 people at any time who wouldn't wipe the floor with everybody else.

The largest and most egregious issue is that it's impossible to avoid the players who will consistently just dominate you ruthlessly.

if only there was some way to decrease the odds of getting matched against these top tier players, some way to ensure that 15-20 players didnt account for up to half the available matchmaking opportunities

oh wait, expanding the matchmaking pool would do it

I don't think lack of players was a result of poor matchmaking as it was a result of...lack of players.

poor matchmaking contributes to players leaving which contributes to poor matchmaking which contributes to players leaving - as youve posted above, players dont enjoy getting stomped by the same people for an entire play session

sure, a larger potential pool may not help much now when the pop is so small, but how do you expect the pop to grow without fixing these issues?

More content would be nice, but it's not necessary for newer players to have fun.

Engine update would be nice for more content but it's not going to solve the population issue.

more content is definitely required for pop growth

new players are more likely to be hooked by something if theres a wider or deeper variety being offered, often just the sheer amount of content can convince someone to try a game

once new players are hooked they need content to remain engaged after theyre no longer new players

new content is needed for all the players who have played apb and quit, because who is convinced to try a game again thats exactly the same as when they left?

new content stops veterans from leaving or keeps them returning on a regular cycle

depending on the content, it can even help players escape the dreaded top tier stomping without outright quitting - getting dunked on in missions? maybe if there was 1 or 2 other game modes to jump between for a cool off period, it wouldnt be so bad

the engine upgrade on its own will absolutely not solve the pop issue, but it will cause a surge of players to return for at least a little while - its up to orbit if they can capitalize on that surge to jumpstart population growth again

Neither of those things require the engine upgrade to happen, but you keep just hoovering up all the slop LO is serving you without question if that makes you happy.

better matchmaking requires a larger player pool to draw from, and performance has been steadily decreasing with every new bit of content added since the 2012 valentine's event

do you have suggestions on how to increase district pop beyond 80 without the accompanying negative effects or how to increase the game's memory limit without an engine upgrade?

turns out im totally happy shoveling slop if its actual factual truth

In my eyes, APB doesn't even really need engine updates for it to be playable for all audiences. It needs better matchmaking and more population to keep the game fun. Joker tickets have fixed the monetization issues in my eyes. The devs need to update the engine to be able to more efficiently add more content, but that can be done while the server is up.

the engine upgrade is absolutely required for better matchmaking, and there wont be any significant pop changes without more content, which again requires the engine upgrade

LO is at loss and already moving to making other new games while ignoring ones they can even hardly chew  lmfao.
If you think they give a crap about APB, other than bare minimum server maintenances to bait naive lads into spending more money , then you are clearly delusional.

orbit has the same number of games in development that they had when they acquired gamersfirst

its also weird that you think server maintenance is the make or break issue for the people still spending money
