At this point timing a Macro properly for each gun requires more work/effort than actually learning the small selection of guns in APB.

    what?

it takes like 10-20 minutes per gun to achieve a macro that eliminates recoil at the optimal rof, muscle memory doesnt develop that fast, especially across the 25+ individual weapons

and then it never has to be thought about again, which probably also helps with aiming since it frees up some of the limited brain cells a dedicated macro user has

i think people vastly overestimate the amount of macroers (just like they do cheaters) but saying a macro gives a smaller advantage so who cares is a super dumb take

    1. They are a meta slave. Use CJ3 because they see the "best players" use it, but don't understand why those players use it.
    2. Are utilizing a tool (be it trigger, aim, and/or macro), which allows them to take advantage of that 123ms difference in fire rate.

Fun fact, the fastest recorded human reaction time is 101ms, just 22ms faster than the difference CJ3 makes. The average reaction time of a human being is around 260ms.

reaction times are irrelevant here because you arent reacting to the next shot, youre predicting it, consciously or unconsciously

thats why such a small time discrepancy is so easily noticeable during actual play

    percs/remote det/Kevlar/Explosives

percs got their ltl potential nerfed, which was the only issue they had

remote det now has a proper cd

    kevlar still sucks

    whats wrong with explosives?

might as well farm 10k jt or 5-10 mil for ursus than go for that. It'll only help the golds who have it unlocked.

Other than waiting for an event or forever grinding FC for jt store. How about as criminal or enforcer when u level up the first faction to half way u get a character perm. Star 556 2 slot and 3 days premium code activateable whenever in redeem code armas and then when u lvl up the 2nd faction to half way u get an nfa-9 barrakuda character perm. ( the mag cap 1) and the three days premium again aforementioned. This'll ensure the tutorial/ new persons stick around after the one hour they spend online getting rekt by golds before leaving. Ensure them something in deciding/starting the 50+ hours grind. And premium might not always be here so this ensures they have access and if they decide to buy, get a lowered price in armas.

an extra star and an nfa arent going to ensure anyone sticks around

So where to begin I been playing this game forever it seems, I have met almost everyone that currently plays the game and those who have already come and gone.

One topic that seems to always be trending is cheating and who is cheating and who is suspected of cheating and the constant finger pointing.... However what if I told you nobody is cheating?

Hear me out what if nobody is actually cheating? What if I told you a small portion of good players are actually good? What if I told you a portion of players that play as if walking God's were in fact actually highly intelligent AI that are set in a patterned Algorithm just simply to keep you engaged? They can hold a conversation even antagonize you yet they are not human beings at all and instead are totally N.P.C.'s.

(I mean some of these so called players play in such a way they are poorly written bots with highly skilled aim and trigger abilities.)

Yes folks the internet is dead and 63% of traffic is all AI... Enjoy!

When attempting to land shots at 88m+ (which is where you snipe with the DMR), single pixel differences in accuracy make a critical difference. The PR2 is objectively inferior to the PR1 due to this.

That is exactly why you'd choose the PR2 over the PR1.

    In general:

The PR1 will be a better purchase for Enforcer players. This is due to the DMR technically being the LTL sniper rifle, which only Enforcers can make use of. It requires a couple conditionals to be capable of stunning a target on its own, but that doesn't really matter much as you are primarily going to be softening targets for your LTL-using teammates.

The PR2 will be a better purchase for Criminal players. It maximizes the anti-vehicle capability of the weapon, which is pretty much the only reason a Criminal player would bring it out. If they're sniping players, they'll just use the HVR. It can't instagib someone at 88m+ like the DMR can, but it can still 2-shot even at point blank range unlike the DMR which takes 3 shots out to 87m.

i disagree with some of your dmr av opinions but im just here to point out that you said the pr1 was objectively better and then pointed out two situations where its not objectively better, one of which is the entire reason behind the guns existence

Disregarding the topic of this thread, I like the idea for the sake of novelty. Replace names with Enforcer/Criminal symbols and player outfits gain some significance.

Also short names wouldn't provide a miniscule advantage over long names anymore.

as long as the symbols arent colored

i have no idea which g1 dev thought up the genius idea to use red symbols in a game where red name tags means enemy, but they should have been fired on the spot

    It's fine for me.

The problem is when that player that you have crashed, reports you, with a simple photo or video, also asks his 4 friends to report you too and you end up banned.

super doubtful anyone gets banned solely based off reports, especially not just from 5

Any player has a limit to their abilities. The time will come when the player will be close to his limit. He will either win and receive a multiplied reward, or he will lose. If the player has not coped with the task, then the system will make the game easier. Difficulty should be constantly changing, responding to changes in the composition of the teams and to the actions of the players.

it just doesn't sound appealing - i like losing because i tried my hardest and the opp was better, not because the game decided i only get 10 bullets for the whole mission

Are you really quoting the trickle down effect. Its very apt in this conversation. The 2 % making all the decision and everybody else can feed off the scraps. 🤣

its not the trickle down effect, didn't realize i was quoting something else

there aren't any scraps with "top down balancing" otherwise it wouldn't be balancing in the first place

You listed 2 different things, which are not even issues within the game. I was only entertaining your straw clutching response.

    i listed three different things

you asked for downsides so i gave you downsides, your "answer" wouldnt fix any of the downsides i listed

its not a strawman if you literally ask me to list examples and then i list examples

There need to be weapons balanced around new players, average players and the best of the best, balancing around just one will leave the game frustrating for the rest and on top of that a lot of top players think very one dimensional with the goal of turning APB into some sort of competitive game, no bloom, laser beam guns and supposedly "high skill" requirement. In a world in which the game was balanced around top level players guns that are aimed to be entry level guns for newer players will not even get close to be able into whatever the 'top players' decided should be the meta.

if it works at the top it works all the way down

theres really only one gun intended to be an entry level weapon for new players and its already in the "not even close" situation youve described - holding back better balance to preserve the performance of the "new player gun" instead of just changing which gun new players receive is backwards logic
